Subject: I am not too late am I?

Kyle Westham, Cleric to the Sea Goddess enters and takes a knee and whispers to the Lad, “Connor, may you grow big and strong. I hope that one day you will thank the powers that be for giving you the parents you have. You are truly a wondrous gift to all those who will know you. Travel well little one.” Kyle then stands and turns to the Mother, “Well done Lady Meredith.” With that the gruff old battle cleric removes himself from the room.

As this is first club I would say no to big rusty spike. Hold on to it and put it in good club that you make later after you learn to make good club. The best wood is hard wood that not brake first time you use it. That would be bad.

Topic: RedWyrm School of Online Adventuring - Recruitment Suspended
Subject: An old man from the market

An old and bent man stepped from the shadows, "School of Online Adventuring!?" he questioned.

"In my day we had to use wax to mark our stones of chance. None of that fancy bits and dashes either, good old fashion lead and paper was all we had to keep it all straight as we did it too." He bashes the end of his walking stick on the ground, "School, well let me tell you. We had to learn all that was Adventuring from the tip of a sword or the from behind the knowledge of the black arts, and if you were lucky you had a good cleric along for the ride to keep you all alive."

The old man then leans heavy on his stick, "But you know, this whole school thing an't a bad idea" He then looks up and with a angry voice, "Not that I would need any such schooling but you some of these upstarts that think they can just hack and slash there way to the top." He finds a near by seat and sits, "I blame those little black boxes with their fancy lights and ooo' aaa' buzzers, bells, and whistles..." The old man's chin slowly falls to his chest and a ever so quite snore begins and the falling and raising of his chest takes on a slow rhythm.

Subject: Good Sir Steeling a word if you don't mind

Kyle approaches the table of the Good Sir Steelight, “If I may join you for a moment and have words over a tankard of Ale?” Not waiting for an answer Kyle pulls out a chair and orders two tankards of Ale. “From one who has moved up into the Company of Publishing how do you find writers and how would a writer go about finding one such as yourself or a company as yours?” Kyle then leans in, “Now please do not take this the wrong way. I am not asking for your help in any way. I merely am asking for a path that if I chose to take it where would it be located or how would I go about finding such a path.”

This is also 'A don’t fall to the back of ones mind and into the realm of the forgotten.'

Dog saw the dislike in the face of the one called Alacrity. Dog knew that may times fallowing that look came the harsh side of a boot, so he quickly tucked tail and moved away. As he did so he found something, ‘Oh look, how wasteful one of those humans. One of them dropped a nice bit of bone,’ sniff sniff, ‘and there is a bit of meat left on it.’ Dog quickly snatch up the bounty he found and slipped out the side door.

It was then the good Lord Ala of the House Crity (aka Alacrity) noticed a leaning on his leg. When he glanced down there sat a pitiful dog, shaggy coat, scare across this nose, a stench that would drop a buzzard off a meat wagon. He was looking up at the Lord Alacrity with eyes that if could speak said, “Can I go with them please. I won’t do much. I can stay out of the way. I promise I will only bite the bad people and then only some times.” With a slight wagging of his tail as if putting a little extra ‘Pleeeeaaase’.

Kyle walks in, his hands are full of tattered parchment and broken scroll cases, “I have spoken to three different scribes (three computers) and all tell me the same thing, ‘The file is damaged and could not be repaired’ What am I doing wrong?” Kyle then throws down the contents of his hands onto the table, “Keep, a tankard of ale and bring the Lady Merideth what fills her goblet.”

After a few sips and a time to breath Kyle Westhelm calms. “You see good Lady, I have ideas and suggestions for articles, but I would feel foolish and it would be wrong for me to step forward with such ideas if they are already in print. Also why should I give thought if I can not see what my thoughts invoke.”

Topic: Running to look
Subject: This morning will bring

“Good sir, it is late. Will you be having a room?” the serving wench asked from across the table.

“Yes, I will have a room for the evening.” He removed a coin pouch from a cloak pocket and removed a golden coin from the pouch and placed it on the table.

“Top of the stairs first door on the left is open. I will be up in a few minutes with a fresh pitcher of water. You can take the candle off the table there are fresh ones in the room.”

The stranger smiled, stood and with candle in hand made his way toward the stairs.

She then continued clearing the table when she picked up the gold coin and looked more closely at it she noticed something that chilled her bones. “Sir!” she called.

The stranger stopped at the base of the stairs and turned to see her making her way toward him. When she got to him she placed the gold coin in the palm of his hand and with a whisper in her voice and a concern in her eyes, “If you who I think you are and what they say is true, I will beg you to be gone from here before the sun is full in the morning sky. Men have been here and they have asked about the forgotten prince.”

The stranger smiled and exchanged the gold coin for two silver ones, “Thank you but I feel it is time I stop running so I will beg you to be late in the morning.” He turned and made his way up the stairs.

As he reached the top of the stairs he heard a soft voice, “I am Rose good sir and the people have not forgotten please don’t you.” She then turned and headed to the front door, latched it and then made her way to the back and to her room.

The stranger slept well that evening and awoke early as a roster awoke the world to a new day.

Topic: What good is my education in England?
Subject: Just my two cents

Kyle notices the good Sir Skari-Dono looking perplexed and deep in thought. So with a tankard of ale Kyle joins him at his table, “What seems to be the question that plagues your thoughts?”

….

“Hmmm

Not sure if I can be of any help, but I will give my two cents anyway.

You could look into a teaching job. Do not limit your searching to just grade schools or high schools but also look into adult education courses. They also could use some teachers. This might lead to an online or class room job.

You might also look at Magazine companies and or newspapers in the local area. Look at publishing companies; they are in need of editors I would think, (those who proofread publications before they are put out or some one like yourself to keep all those writers in check).

You might also look for a company that does internet web service, they might also want some one with your skills to check the English rules on web sights they produce.

I know I have stayed in more than a few hotels in my says around the world and some of the managers I have spoke with say that a degree of any kind is expectable in some hotel chains.

Hope this helps or at the very least points you in some kind direction,” With that said Kyle stands, “Well good luck and happy job hunting.”

Subject: A new face?

“I also recall the Red Box,” a smile comes to Kyle’s face, “Do you recall the dice and the wax color stick? My dice were a light blue and the color of the wax was white.” Kyle calls for a mug of ale to be brought to Shadow Branch and then for all other mugs, goblets, tankards, and glasses to be filled. Kyle lifts his own tankard high, “A drink for our newest member to the Inn of the Red Dragon.” Kyle turns to the Inn’s newest member, “Welcome to the family. Shadow Branch, may your days here at the Inn be many and full of good cheer.” He then turns to address all that have gathered. “Long live Shadow Branch and Long live the Inn!” Kyle then drinks deep from his tankard, with a pat on the back of Shadow Branch, “Enjoy and welcome.”

Topic: What is your favorite weapon for a fantasy game
Subject: The sound of Keys?

Kyle leaned back and his hand fell to the handle of his mace, ‘Not much unlike the club of old but more modern, civilized you could say.’ Kyle looked over his shoulder…

In a room light only by a small desk lamp and the glow of a monitor, the sound of keys being tapped could be heard through the house, well except in the kitchen where the hum of a dishwasher filled the air, ‘Asking what weapon is a favorite would be asking me to argue with every character I have ever played.

Nothing says shut up and listen the way a double headed battle axe berried deep into a solid oak dinner table.

But then a thief I once played would whisper sweet nothing into your ear as he brought his dagger to rest deep into your back.

Then there was the all well rounded woodsmen and woodland folk I have played, “A fine bow would be to our liking,” Would be their vote in this.

The sound of keys stop…

Kyle looks back at all those gathered at the Inn this evening, 'I still say the mace.'

Topic: I'm Collecting Birthdays!!
Subject: The day of my birth

Kyle stood, "The second day of the month of April. This is the day of my birth. It is also..." Kyle motionned for all tankards to be filled and fresh bread be brought to all the tables at the Inn, "the birth date of the great King Charlemagne.

There was als a man of questionable standings in some courts called Casanova, I think some ancient scrolls refer to him as an Italian adventurer. What he adventured in is beyond my place to comment on in such mixed surroundings.

The is also Hans Cristian Anderson, he also was born on this day. Hans is known for writing something down in a book or two I believe. Hans is of the Danish descent.

Now for those of you with a more adventuresome flavor about them," Kyle looks to all the warring types at the Inn, "I think it was in the year 1801 when Nelson, a commander in the British Navy defeats a Danish Navy at the Battle of Copenhagen after ignoring an order to withdraw from the battle.

I also know of a man called Mehmed II whon on this day begain a siege of Constantinople, known not as Istanbul. This endeavor took almost two months as the great city finally fell on the twenty ninth day of May." Kyle is startign to see some people growing disintrested in his words so lifting hsi tankard high and with a little more volume to his voice, "And Lastly! Juan Ponce de Leon is the first known person fo Europe to set foot on the coast line of a new land. The place is known today as Florida I Believe.

And that good people of the inn is the end of my story. May all live well." And with that Kyle drinks heavy from his tankard and then takes his seat.
