Hmph

"In case you haven't realized, I have WINGS. I don't think we're compatible." She hissed.

Erina glared at him.

Wings have nothing to do with it.

"Wings are just decoration. It's what's on the inside that counts. But then again... the outside is a great addition... and the you seem to have both. I've yet to hear your friend speak, but she's got the outside going for her."

Stepping forward, out of the shadows, he asks. "Do you long to see my face, little girl. Do you long to see the face that let you go, instead of biting your tender neck, and draining your blood?"

Hm

"Maybe I do want to see your face. And maybe... I wish you would have bit me." Erina smirked at him.

"Being in the same species as Miv, seeing thigs the way she does... it would be interesting. Not to mention getting rid of the wings." She said and stroked one, pulling a feather off and twirling it in her fingers.

Miv

Miv just watched them. She wondered briefly what had brought him here.

She just stayed quiet.

The silent one stirs.

Noticing the smallest movement in the other vampire, the voice says. "Now there she moves. The pale rose... answer the question. Could you use the help of a full grown vampire at your side... or do you leave me to choose a side which offers more to me."

"As for you angel. Why be something you aren't, when you are what you are now? Use that. Take advantage of it. And if you want to see my face, ask for it. Ask. Plea that I pull back the hood."

Erina

Erina stood up and lifted off the ground in a single beat of her wings.

"Maybe you're right bloodsucker." She said and beat her wings again, propelling her closer to him. Erina dropped and hit the ground a few feet to his right.

"Sometimes it's convieniant to fly."

Miv

Miv watched Erina fly. She had always been amazed at how different they could be.

Miv looked back at the vampire. "I don't need someone who will be obsessed with getting closer to women." She said clearly, her voice stronger tha when she had dicovered the tradgedy.

"But I know when I need help. And I know that you are the best I will get. But... pull your mask and hood back. I need to see your face. And that's not a plea. It's a comand."

Closer to women?

"Is that all you think I'm doing? Pale Rose, I'm not trying to get close to you. I'm trying to make sure that no other can. However, if you wish to get close to me, like your angel here has done, then go ahead, I shant object."

Turning to face Erina the figure speaks in a smooth tone, sweet like honey. "You see, being close to me isn't bad. And you call me bloodsucker, how I hate the name. Please, call me by my real name. Sir D'Artigo."

"Also, Rose, nobody, orders me to do anything unless it's in my best interest. All you have to do is ask nice, and I'll pull back my hood."

Erina

"Sir." Erina said, not bothering with the rest.

"My sister doesn't 'ask nicely'. So..." Erina pasued for a second.

"Please remove your hood. It would make me pleased to see who it is I speak too."

Well, well...

"It would seem as though Angel here has manners. You could learn something from her Rose. And since the beautiful lady asked nicely, I have no choice but to comply."

Reaching up to his hood, pale white hands coming from his sleeves, he pulls back his hood. It is now obvious that he is a man, that much is certain. Though below the hood lies not a face, but a head covered in a white porcelain mask. Two eye holes reveal pale blue, almost grey eyes. White hair flows over the top of the mask, cascading down to his shoulders, though it seems to continue on under the cloak. With a small, but elegant, bow. The man speaks to you two.

"Behold! The visage is gazed upon by the women! Behold the beauty!"

The lips on the mask don't move. In fact, it seems like the eyes are the only open spot.

Erina

She suddenly started laughing and couldn't stop until tears came to her eyes.

"What is it you fear? Another laying eyes upon the face the gods carved for you?" Erina asked.

SHe held her hand in front of her face. "To hide away, you must have a secret. Or an obsession with keeping yourself hidden. Am I right D'Artigo?"

Erina voice was thick and sedcutive, ladled with her sarcasm. She smirked and dropped her hand.

"It is none of my concern though. But it is annoying." Eruna pouted alittle before lifting off again and returning to her sister's side.

The Mask.

Under his mask, D'Artigo smiled. It was obvious in his eyes. "Angel, nothing has warmed my heart... which stopped beating a while ago I might add... more than your laughter for quite some time. What they say is true; angels do have the best laughter."

"I fear nothing actually. It is those who fear me. You see, there are men and women out there who seek nothing but to destroy others. That is just evil. And someone has to stand in their way. So I take the burden on my shoulders. People fear what they don't know. So if they don't know me, they fear me. And right before I bite into their necks and taste their deliciously warm blood pour down my throat, I let them see my face. So that they know what they feared all this time."

"So in theory Angel, you are right, I have an obsession-if that is what you will call it- with hiding my face. And if you want to go further with that tone of yours..." He trails off, leaving it open to the imagination what he was going to say.

Erina

Erina sighed and sat down, letting her wings cover her body to where only her eyes were visible.

They seemed like they were glowing, when in fact, it was just how bright a red it was on all the black.

"D'Artigo," The tone was different, subtle and hiding something, "You had the chance but not a few minutes ago to drain my body of it's blood. Yet, you didn't." Erina said and moved her wings so they allowed her face to be seen.

"I am curious. What is the true meaning?"

Miv

Miv looked between the two of them.

Erina, with her black wings and hair, could be as pleading as needed. Yet she had just given up finding out this man's true identity.

D'Artigo was different. He seemed so unlike the vampires she used to know.

They played this game, toying with each other. "Could you two just do what you're both thinking about and leave me in peace?" She growled.

Why not?

"After this, Pale Rose. I will watch for those outside seeking to harm you, but first you hear this."

"Why I didn't bite you? Why I didn't but a blemish on the Angel? You ask me why?" Chuckling, he rubs his fingers together as he lets out a sigh, as though remembering the feel of your skin. "Because. When you and I were close enough, so close I could feel your heat against my skin... you whispered you would be willing to burn Pale Rose there to get away from me. Your sister. Burn her."

Turning back to Miv, D'Artigo says. "That is all. If you need me, I'll be outside." And with calm, measured steps, he walks out into the night.
