Chat

Lamiel walked on, listening to the Fallen Angel. She couldn't decide if her companion talked to fill the silence or to keep her mind off of the horrors of the battle, though massacre was probably the more accurate term for what had happened. After a few minutes, it occurred to the enchantress that perhaps the talk was a distraction. Noise to cover up some other sound. One of the vampires had gone, the other was behind her with a the panther, and this creature had earlier flown high, perhaps to check for something, perhaps to give a signal... Maybe the warning had been a way to allay what remained of her conscience.

Perhaps it was nothing, but caution would be the best course. Suddenly, she stopped, and waited for Miv and Jessica to catch up. "Here is our turning. We must wait for your other companion, or he will lose the way."

Fun

Jessica and Miv caught up to the two angels. A fallen and an angel as friends? Hmmm. Jessica groaned quietly. Waiting for Lycan Biter. Ugh. Jessica offered "Why don't we all go find some food then meet back here?" Then blushed welled up into Jessica face. Her stomach groweled so loud everyone heard it.

Food

That was an interesting development... The plan didn't work out, so now one must be made up on the fly. For a moment, Lamiel had almost believed there was nothing more to the suggestion than hunger, but then she remembered the alert, watchfulness of the Lycan, and the warrior's scars she bore. This one was quiet and put on a meek and timid front, but she was a clever tactician and experienced warrior. No, Lamiel would not be falling into this trap.

"Yes, this would be a good point for the hunt, as we are already waiting for one. We will all meet back here and then continue." It was a desperate plan, but there was little else to do. Forcing the fight here and now would put her at a disadvantage, and there was still the thin, so very thin, chance that all was as innocent as the group was playing it to be.

Miv

Miv didn't go far from where the goup was supposed to meet up. She breathed in the smells of the forest and opened her eyes, now blazing bright crimson.

She followed her nose and found a wild dog resting. It growled as Miv neared and she smiled at the poor, stupid creature. Miv lunged and caught the animal's head between her hands, twisting it sharply. She leaned over and plunged her fangs into it's neck, savoring the sweet blood.

Miv drew back once she had filled herself and headed back to the meeting spot. She hadn't been that thirsty: But it hadn't hurt.

Erina

Erina really didn't feel like hunting and killing, but she wasn't going to be messing herself up to find some berries or leaves so she stayed put.

Erina's stomach was quite and she didn't need food so she really had no reason to go. Erina sat down and leaned against a tree, closing her eyes.

I'm thirsty... time to eat, then come back.

D'Artigo had run through the woods with no looking back. Time for the hunt, no other hesitations. There had to be something out here... ah! Yes! He could see it through the tree line, a small village. Time to go to work...

Magic coursed through his veins. Nothing major, but enough. As he began weaving the magic he felt the strain. All the better. If he was out of breath too, more people would go easy on him. His cloak became tattered and dirty, holes all over the fabric. His appearance had become even more handsome then before... under the mask of course. He would be a traveling bard. Then he would hunt his prey. Then he would drink.

After his disguise had been completed, he gingerly removed his mask, walking into the town. Exhausted from the magic use, he let out a few ragged coughs as he stumbled in. As he had expected, he was rushed to the nearest tavern, where he would warm up with a soup, and some warm wine. Even better, the people who found him offered to pay. He didn't have to even waste money. D'Artigo kept his hood up, over his face. He also kept his eyes open, when he noticed a young woman not too far down from him. Now it was time.

It was all routine. Talk to the girl. Make her like him. Bring her with him, find some place hidden. Have some fun. Then, for the part which would satisfy his hunger. The soup had been nice, but nothing could fill him. Nothing, like blood.

The woman's blond hair draped down around her shoulders and down to her mid back as she prepared to return to the city. D'Artigo stopped her, asking for the last embrace, one more time to put their faces together. As the embrace went on, D'Artigo slowly moved his head down, her neck, a bit of tongue sliding out through his teeth. He wanted her to enjoy her last few moments. His tongue was also the best at finding the soft spot. And he said what many a woman had heard as her last words in life.

"Thank you. I'm sure you'll taste delicious."

And with one swift motion, he pulled back his head, extended his fangs, and bit into the woman's jugular. The warmth that flowed into him was beautiful. He stifled her brief scream with his chest, slurping as the warm liquid poured into him. He was right. She did taste delicious.

Once she was dry, D'Artigo looked down at the lifeless corpse that lay at his feet. It was... a weakness of his, he called it. Grabbing her hand, he pricked his arm with her nail, letting some of his blood to pour out, and into her mouth. Not too much, but enough. The woman would rise as a vampire in a few days. With a final kiss to her cold lips, and crossing her arms over her, he nodded, satisfied, and gathered his belongings. Re-donning his mask, he chuckled as he looked at the inside of the mask as he had done so many times. Around the mouth, it was red. Dried blood was hard to remove.

As he ran back to where he had left the trail to his magic was beginning to fade. No matter. He was well enough away from the town for anyone to be able to do anything. He smiled inside his mask. Another successful hunt.

Returning to the trail, he headed in the direction which the others had been walking. Quickly gaining, he catches up with the stopped group.

"I see that you have kindly waited for me." He says. "I'm honoured." As he feels a blood drop leak out from under the mask, he does a quick slurp. "Have you all eaten?"

His eyes are back to his pale blue, though he has the gold flecks in them. His hood pulled down, his hair is slightly unkept, though nothing too severe.

Erina

Erina opened her eyes, narrow crimson slits blazing. "Don't flatter yourself." She hissed and stood up, movig her hair over her right shoulder and pulling out a leather cord. She began twisting midnight strands and fially tied the end, flipping the long braid back over her shoulder.

Erina looked at the two vampires and closed her eyes again. "If we're going to travel, I don't wat my hair getting in my eyes. I suggest you do the same." She said and smirked at D'Artigo, knowing where he was even with her eyes closed.

Erina stood up and stretched, her wings reaching out far away from her. "I say we get moving." She said and finally opened her eyes.

You wanna talk hair now?

"I assure you, I am flattered. As for my hair, it is perfectly fine where it is. My cloak keeps it in check. And of course... what woman doesn't like the stray bang going in front of the man's face?"

Hmph

"Me." She said and flipped her head, sending the braid swinging.

"I hate it when people's hair just hangs over their face."

-.-

"I think it's sexy." Miv chuckled alittle at Erina's horrified expression.

She shook her head, sending black hair everywhere. It hung in her eyes and over her shoulders and Miv smiled widely.

Oh great... a cat fight's breaking out.

"Now you see Angel, there's a woman who knows what she is talking about." Letting out a rich laugh, D'Artigo lazily walked over to another tree and slumped down.

"Let me know when we are ready to go. Human soup and wine don't go well with my chemistry, so I'm starting to feel it a bit. The blood keeps it calm though... slightly."

Just gag me!

Erina scowled at him and walked alittle ways from them. She sat down and wrapped her wings around herself. It gave her a shield.

The feathers were thick and kept it warm inside her shield. Erina closed her eyes lazily.

Poor Angel

Miv looked at Erina shielding herself. It was a habit of hers.

She sighed alittle and looked at D'Artigo. Miv sighed again and decided to take a walk, taking a path through the woods.

I know you can hear me... don't try to deny it.

After Miv leaves D'Artigo and Erina alone, D'Artigo starts mumbling to himself, though loud enough for Erina to hear. Almost as is he wants her to hear what he's saying.

"Yes, human blood tastes the best. Especially after activity, since it's moving, and warm and... ooo, how I love it."

"She was a pretty lass too. Just like you Angel. That woman was very kind. And all it took was a bit of a disguise, a sappy lie, and she was mine... then I drank her dry." He let out a long sigh.

"I can only wonder what the blood of those other than humans tastes like... And what other talents those races possess."

Erina

Erina opened her wings enough to watch Miv walk off.

"So you let her go off alone when you know our enemies may be just behind that tree or that bush." Erina smirked and got up, following Miv.

She could care less, but it felt good to annoy the sick vampire.
