Seth patted Rose on the shoulder. "Alright then. It's time for us to go. Max can catch up after preparing. Do you have everything you need to go?"

Max agreed to the plan. "Go on and hurry: Travis could get himself seriosuly hurt."

Max watched them leave before starting to prepare medical supplies. She stopped, thinking. If Travis managed to find and bring his son back, would the boy need help?

"Yeah, but I'm gonna have to change. Lycans get suspicious of teenagers."

Right before Seth's eyes, Rose's body began to change. She grew a little taller, slimmer, more womanly. Her hair took on a few more inches to her hips and her eyes didn't seem to take up her face anymore. Rose stopped and stood there.

"21. It's a good age: They expect adult commanders and it's not too old to deplete my skills."

His M-4K5 was on the gound next to him, and his pistols were scattered around him. The Lycans would not stop pointing the guns at his head. Travis supposed they had every right to be more than suspicious. A Human warrior simply surrendering with no fight was more than enough cause for concern. Their leader, Travis guessed him to be a general, was Tiger.

"And why would such a noble man as yourself turn himself in." The Tiger said. He spoke with a Russian accent, sharp and biting.

"Did I not already tell you, or is their someone smarter I can talk to. I don't want to fight anymore, and if I was with the rebels, they would force me to fight."

"You seem truthful enough." His R's rolled like long rivers. He removed his gloves from his hands and held them at arms lenght, inspecting them scrutinously, "but you must have terms."

"That I do. I promise to help you, but only if I can meet one of your Lycan soldiers."

"Will any soldier do, or do you wish to see a certain one." The general tunred his back to Travis and lit a cigarette.

"I have one in mind, he is a wolf, as big as I. I do not know his name now, but he was once called Derric." Travis flung his head back to shift his hair from his face.

The Tiger tuned around at this and smiled, his long teeth flashing maliciously. He moved his face right in front of Travis' and exhaled the smoke from his last puff of cigarette. "I though I killed you quite some time ago Travis. When I ran that sword through your chest, I could have sworn you had taken your last breaths." He walked back and turned around again, puffing his cigarette rhytmically.


Travis was shocked. "Dominic..."

"Yes Travis...Dominic. Do you know I still remember that day. Your wife called out your name before I slit her worthless throat. To bad you wernt there to save her. She was a beatiful one too...shame she had to die. Don't you feel the guilt." He turned around with a sickening smile on his face, stepping closer to Travis with every sentence. "It was all your fault. She could have lived if you wernt so..." he exhaled again..."sauve..."

"You son of a bi***. Where is my son!"

"Your son is a good Lycan. He followers orders, commands well, and best of all...he dosnt remmeber anything about you. I don't think it would be best for you to see him. I wouldn't want his veiw on our ranks changed because you told him what happened to that sorry excuse of a mother he had." Dominic took the end of his finished cigarette and tiwrled it in his fingers. "I wonder. Why did you not come for him earlier, when you had a chance. Your just to old. You humans age to quickly, and when you age...you die. Your worthless scum, and your species continued existance here is drawing to an end. I know where your pitiful rebel HQ is. Do you think me an idiot."

"When I get free, I'll rip out your worthless heart and feed your body to your sick friends. You Lycans have no respect for even each other." Travis was fuming.

Dominic whirlled around and shoved the smoldering butt of his cigarette into Travis' right cheek. He howled in pain. "I would watch your mouth, you are our prisoner now, and we do not take lightly to insults."

"Screw that, he isn't your prisoner."

Rose glared at the Lycan. She had left Seth to track faster and glared at the Lycans, her blood boiling.

"What would you want with a human prisoner anyway? He's too weak to do you any good and none of us are paying ransom." Rose spoke coldly, emotionless.

"Pity. I thought you were smart enough to see a better opprutinity, like a Vampiress right within your grasp."

Seth buried his head in his hands. He had hoped Rose wouldn't jump up like this. Oh well, no time to worry now. He stood up and eyed the tiger with a glare. "That vampiress is a rather tempting offer. I'd go for it." He knew he was baiting them, as his gun would stop them from getting anywhere near. Travis was being a damned fool. But, he understood family. Watching his face at the mention of his late wife made Seth want to shoot every Lycan standing there. He had 12 bullets in this clip...he could take out some of them before reloading. He felt disappointed at Travis, yet he had a grudging respect. He was going to help Travis find his son, even if it meant leaving the rebels.

Rose smirked and toyed with her gun.

"Well Tiger, do you want to know what it feels like to be a real warrior?"

She tilted her head, exposing her throat.

"Or would you rather stay with the pitiful human?"

Seth pulled his pistol out of the holster, and yelled at the rest of the lycans. "come on then. You all can take on me. It should be an easy massacre, right?"

Rose took a few sidesteps, watching Dominic's eye follow her movements. She slid into a hunting crouch and hissed. Rose's left eye turned dark pruple and her right bright red.

"Come here, little mutt."

Seth laughed at the Lycans. "I'm just a wounded old soldier!" He tapped his leg with the shotgun cane. but as the first Lycan charged, he pulled up the cane and pulled the trigger.


He had loaded the cane.


Lycan blood spilled onto the ground as the first went down. Just as he raised the 1911 to blow out another's brains, he saw a sight that struck him hard.


A lycan had been imported from the middle east. A very large Camel Spider was skittering across the ground. It paused, and bent it's front four legs.

"Good day, Lt. Crawford. I'm glad to see you again."

Rose was circling Dominic with slow, measured steps. The Lycans eyes were following her.

Rose bent back and lunged, knocking him away from Travis. Dominic rolled and took the advantage, pinning her.

But Rose didn't even flinch. She stared up and him and growled before biting into his forearm.

The spider kept talking.

"You see, the Iraqi army got most of it's funds from us, the Lycans. Your batallion was very efficient at taking out our henchmen. I hunted you down myself, yet the one Ir eally wanted to die is one of the few survivors. I won't make that mistake again." He lunged.

Luckily, Seth got a really good idea. As the spider jumped on him, he pulled a grenade pin and shoved his arm down the beast's throat. He jerked it back, slammed the spiders mouth shut, and scrambled away.

A blast flung spder gore all over Seth.

He wanted to party now, but he remembered the other Lycans. He popped off two rounds of his pistol into ones head, bringing it down.

Today is going to be a busy day, he thought.

Rose kept a firm hold, letting her venim pump through his system. Killing him.

Dominic suddenly stopped moving and she pulled back. As soon as she did, he leapt froeward and everything moved too fast.

It stopped with Rose on her back, eyes taring at the sky. She could see it, but not at the same time. The double sting...the bite...Rose closed her eyes. Lycan venim was going to kill her. She should have been smarter...

Rose knew if she managed to get it out of her body, she would live. But that meant getting Max, and Dominic had her pinned.

Seth had an idea what was going on with Rose. If vampire blood could kill a Lycan, then vice versa should work the same way. Seth threw down the shotgun, and picked up his MP7.

"Go to Hell."

With those three words, Seth started spraying, killing three Lycans, but wounding all. He ran over, threw the body of Domminic off of Rose, and turned and let loose another spray.

The Lycan body count was up to four.

"Travis, help me!" Seth yelled that as loud as he could. After putting a few well placed rounds in the body of the Lycan holding him, Seth picked the shotgun back up and tossed it to Travis.

"Well fight our way back to your son, but for now we have to save Rose! She did this for your a**!"

Rose was gasping, trying to focus.

"SETH! IT'S BURNING ME!" She screamed and twitsed in pain, raking at her neck, her chest, her shoulders. Anywhere the poison had spread.

Rose kept screaming, trying to stop the pain.
