"Thanks Max. Maybe that was a secret." Rose crossed her arms in the doorway and glared at her before looking at Travis.

"You may have that. Or it may be because you're a freak." Rose's mouth pulled up on one corner.

Travis just looked at her. Puzzled.


Travis read the mail aloud...not exactly the best idea.


"Dear Mr. Carter.

I have been watching you and your friends. I understand you recently disposed of Dominic. I am glad you have finally exacted revenge on the likes of him. I will not ramble on, as I know you and your friends are busy people. My head proffesor Dr. Cauldwell has informed me of some interesting records you posess that pertain to our reaserch, and my informants tell me you have experience some odd things in the past hour. Of course, being the nice man I am, I cannot let you simply suffer. As I am a caring individual I will open my arms to you. I have records here that happen to explain you...issues...and I must say some of the side effects are rather...unpleasant. I would hate for you to endanger your friends lives..the lives of those you love.

Naturally, you are confused by this. I have the information you seek about your past...a past do not know all about. However, I cannot share such information in a public way. There are many...hostile people that would enjoy the chance to cut you open and poke at your inards. I wont have that. You can consider me a friend I suppose. I simply want to reveal the secrets fo your past, ease your pain, and in return I ask something so simple. All I require is a blood sample from you, a simgle drop will do adequatley. I will let you think about your choices for some time, but after three days, I will no longer be so passive. I have resources that would boggle your mind, and I can easily harvest any stary drop of blood you might be leaving around. I hope you see things my way, and I wish you a pleasnt evening.

Rose had a blank expression before suddenly growling.

"YOU!" She hissed and clenched her fists.

"You're connected to them?" Rose bared her fangs, mad. These people knew Travis. Therefore, they were connected. Which would make him her enemy.

Max looked at her.

"Rose, calm."

Travis had no idea how to answer. He was surpised she even knew it was him.

"I...I..." He was at a lost for words. He read the E-mail several more times to himself...and was still confused.

Rose lashed out and hit his memories with the same force of a train, sending him stumbling a few steps.

Slowly, her face became confused. 'No memories...Then what the he** are they talking about?'

"I dont know... I'm...so...confused..."

"This is strange." Rose looked down.

"I'm sorry for getting mad Travis. I should be the one supporting you right now."

"I dont blame you..I dont even know who I am anymore."

He turned back to the E-mail.

"Who is this 'director'. I don't know what I should do. He said there were unpleasant side effects to this...this...whatever is ahppening to me."

Rose looked even more confused and put a hand on his shoulder. Suddenly, she shivered and jumped a few feet back. She was holding her hand like it had been burned by touching him.

"Do you have any non-human ancestors?"

"I can assure you that I do not. My entire family is Human..."

He looked at her oddly. She had leaped back from his touch like he had electricuted her. He felt horrible. Now she couldnt even touch him. What was wrong...

Rose walked foreward and leaned over. She sniffed him and covered her nose.

"YOU SMELL LIKE A FU**CKING LYCAN!" She yelled and jumped back again.

Rose shook her head and sniffed again, looking confused yet again. "But you smell like a Vampire too." She cocked her head and kept sniffing.

Travis sniffed the air. He couldnt smell any Lycans. He could only smell Rose. Somethign was wrong.

Rose bit her lip.

"Travis, you sure you were a full human?"

She looked really worried now.

"Of course. I reaserched my family tree all the way back to the discovery of America. I can assure you I am full human. My parents were both human too."

Travis got an idea.

"Maybe if I tell this Director guy I accept his demands, he will give me the information he ahs now. I know its not a good idea to trust him, but who esle can I trust. I'm just worried he'll want the blood sample first."
