Pairings

I see there is some debate about pairing with NPC's and pairing with another PC. As a DM note, the general thought is that you could easily do 3 or 4 shifts using guards and keeping the PC's at the town hall to address any concerned citizens. You could do 3 pairings of 2 pretty easily. 3 8 hour shifts (Just like a regular days work) If you want to do this, just let me know who will pair with who for which shifts so I can get this next part started. Grush is available to be paired and so is Myra .. as well as the others of you who have been posting. There are enough guards to walk the circuits so you don't have to who can report back if they see any trouble. But ultimately, it is up to you guys which way you would like to do it.

As the others converse and decide among themselves, she studies the map more. She pointed to various locations in town.

"I've lived here several years," she said. "I've no issues with taking guard at any of these locations. And I've no issue with whatever plan we go with. But for the sake of these people, whom I have come to think of as my own, let us decide soon."

I would prefer to stay in a central spot and be ready to move to wherever I am needed. I wil take a midnihgt watch to eight in the morning. Anyone want to join with me of this group and do the same thing. Or I can move around on watch it that is deemed best.

Change of tack

Selaro looked around at her companions and silently decided that there wasn't much going for her first plan, but she had a backup.
"We could set the guards the routes I have shown you, that would leave us free to set up a sort of base. The town hall, where we are is centralised and I think we can walk around on the roof. Anyway, we need to decide on what we are going to do about having dogs. I think we should have two at each entrance to the town and give one to each patrol group." Democracy definitely was not her thing, they needed to decide on someone who could make quick decisions and make them good decisions.

Excellent idea Selaro. If they have any problems this is one of the most central places they can got to." responds Ariellyn

Decision time

Selaro looks around the group and sees no obious signs of objections so anounces
"That's settled then, we shall buy 9 dogs for 225 gold. Set up shifts for the guards to on the routes I have pointed out and shall have the town hall as our base of operations. Dose anyone have any objections to this?" At that point she looks around the room.

My Stance

Taden had been silent most of the time just nodding his head or shaking. His nose was buried as usual in his spell book or possibly eating an apple.( Death Note References here) he took out a little glass figurine of a black creature with big bulging eyes he studied and its small wings and put the little doll in his sack. " Well I have no argument it's a well thought out plan as a matter of fact." "Anyone that argues is a fool of highest caliber now that thats established shall we continue"

"Yes I agree it is a sound plan that will best serve us by being put into action. I could help with the selection of the guard dogs." Ariellyn offers. "Though it would be best if someone who knows the city and who best to approach for these dogs come with me."

Staying at the town hall

I am not much of a fighter , Myra points out to the others, I am glad to stay at the town hall and be a point of information and organization and provide a point to run to for help and healing

Right, or left, it dosn't matter

"Now that that's agreed I suggest that Ariellyn and Welbry purchase the dogs we need. Myra, if your happy to stay here and provide a healing station and gather information then you should." 'That provides us with a strong base' she thought to herself.
"Then I can inform the guards of their duties and the changes being made. Taden, if you could come with me and help me to explain it to the guards." Once she had finished organising everything she visibly relaxed. Her words seemed to bring the meting to a natural close but she still sat there to see if anyone had anything else that needed talking about.

Roster

TSRG -
Set up a roster.

Myra will stay at the main base the entire time (she'll set up shop there)

There are enough guards to go around for everyone for all shifts
Set up shifts and let me know who will be going around at what times
The three original routes you made are good routes to use.

This way I can know what will happen next to each group and we can get this continuing nicely

Skipping ahead

After a short moment of thinking Selaro draws the map and some paper towards her and says
"I'll get copies of this put up in the inn, down stairs here and in the barracks." This is what she put:

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Ariellyn you are working two shifts a day because you can meditate for 4 hours instead of 8 hours sleep and I think it a good idea to keep a member of our group on the streets during the day tame.
Taden you are the backup. If any person is unable to perform their duties you are to fill in for them.

Please Note Each shift if 8 hours long, the morning shift starts at 2:00 and ends at 10.
The NPC Route isn't actuly for NPC's, it is just the name of the route on the map.
Everybody is accompanied by a member of the town guard and a guard dog on there route.

OOC:- These Routes not be changed, they are set in stone, but I have tried my utmost to make sure that it plays to everybody's abilities and they need to be brought up in-game.

"It's well with me," she murmured, looking over her route. The people she had come to think of as her own were used to seeing her out and about in the same areas.

What concerned her was that someone had to be organizing the creepy little animals, and it occurred to her that it could well be someone in town. Certainly there wer few people she did not know of, at least in passing or my reputation, but it was entitrely possible and every anenue had to be taken into consideration. And with her own route so central, and being familiar in town, it would raise little, if any, suspicion.

When she had a moment, she asked Selaro to take a walk with her later in the day, so they may get better acquainted.
