Subject: Introductions and Game Plan.

“Zwei, these are the girls. The big one is Alexis. Her skills include hitting stuff and wearing armour for clothing. The diminutive waif beside her is Fox, with whom you shall be competing for status of most inscrutable member of the group.”

Alexis gave a brisk two finger salute to the man from her seat. "Greetings, so you'll be joining us? Sounds fair strength in numbers they say. As for my skills and clothing choice Nona is a bit off. I'm an apprentice blacksmith and part of the militia. I've had the honor of getting some training with the Pathfinders as well, I prefer my armor for a variety of reasons but we'll leave it as 'my uniform' for the moment." She laughed a bit and gave Nona a cheeky grin before letting Fox introduce herself.

“I notice not all of us present are fully prepared to set out right this moment. In the interest of making efficient use of the remaining hours of daylight, I suggest those of use who are already prepared to leave can attempt some form of reconnaissance while those of us who are not—namely myself, can acquire the necessary provisions. I propose we meet back here in an hour.” “Oh, and Alexis—Brinestump is at least 3 miles out of town. I don't know how if you want to wear your armour for the whole trip. It's up to you if you think you can keep up.”

Alexis simply shook her head and took another drink of her water to mask the smile she had, figuring Nona's 'supplies' was either some sort of a spell book or something else aside from camping gear. Alexis waved to her cousin as the snarky studious girl departed chuckling after before turning to Fox. "I'll go see if I can't get the Sheriff to give us a few extra rations for our excursion. I've also got a few things to drop off at home and grab before I'm ready anyways. Fox if Nona comes back before me tease her a bit, she needs to lighten up some. She knows I can keep up just fine in armor with her."

She gave the dancer a wink before turning to Zwei and nodding curtly. "You look like you can handle yourself in a fight, pleasure to meet you Zwei you ever need your gear tended to just bring it by The Red Dog Smithy and I'll see what I can do." She smiled friendly enough and took off at a brisk jog back home.

Alexis ducked into the door and poked about looking for someone not to busy but having no luck she instead scribbled down a quick note. 'Gone Goblin Hunting. Be Back In A Few Days, Don't Worry, Bringing Friends.' She initialed the letter and ran up to one of the passing militiamen. "Hey if my brother's caravan stops by while I'm gone could you be sure to give this to Koya and him? I'd like to at least seem them before they take off." A nod of confirmation was all she needed before giving the man a smile and a salute. With that taken care of she headed to her room, sorting her gear out she tossed into her backpack:

Her gear maintenance kit, her travel gear [Fighter's Kit], her blanket. Her longsword was in it's sheath, shield strapped to her back and her spear strapped there as well. She tossed her crossbow bolts into her bag as well then decided against it and left the crossbow and ammo behind. "Won't need that, got Fox and Nona, maybe even the new guy." Alexis was out the door without another thought, taking off at another jog despite the weight she was carrying.

Alexis smiled as she headed to Sheriff Belor's office and knocked on the door. A grumble and and shuffling of papers followed by a curt 'Come in.' Alexis stepped inside and saluted waiting for the return salute before she took in a breath. "Sir, some companions and I are going to go out and hunt down some of those goblins, thin their numbers a bit at the very least. We expect to be gone over the weekend at the very least, could you donate us some additional travel rations so that we may be off right away?"

[I've been given GM approval for the response to this.]

Sheriff Belor stopped his work for a moment and cocked an eyebrow at Alexis thinking for a moment. "Alright sounds fair, glad to see you're taking some initiative with this I wish you the best of luck just come back alive understand? I'll talk to Korvut if he asks where you went and explain. Just go find the quarter master and get your rations. Let me know how the hunt goes and remember ten gold per ear at the least."

Sheriff Belor Saluted Alexis, getting a return salute from her before he watched the girl turn and take off giving a shake of his head. "She should be fine. I hope." With a sigh he went back to his work.

[There we go. Assume she makes it back last to the group if this is an problem lemme know and I'll retcon.]

Alexis was off right back to The Rusty Dragon once she had gotten the rations, she had extras in her bag from home in case the others forgot or needed more. "Alright, I'll wait here- Oh!" She smiled wide giving her party a wave before stepping up and fixing the shoulder on her bag. "Sheriff Belor gave us each some extra rations for our excursion. I'm ready whenever you guys are."

“Is that the reason for your choice of ensemble? Here I just figured you were taking your work home with you.”

Alexis simply laughed at Nona's remark and gave her head a ruffle. "You know I work with the militia, can't be seen without my gear in case something happens or people need assistance. But yes actually that is part of the reason, can't let you go running off into the swamps alone you'll get stuck somewhere, then what will I tell Brodert why you can't make it?" She was only jesting, it was the feel of the heavy armor on her body she enjoyed, she felt safe and comfortable in the stuff instead of regular clothes but she didn't wear it all the time just often enough.

She let the girl go chase after the quiet guy at the other end of the bar, her hands on her hips as she let out a small sigh. "I swear she gives off the feel she doesn't enjoy my company all the time." Alexis grinned, she liked to tease her 'cousin' far more then she aught.

"Well, this is actually where my gig usually is." She replied, indicating her dancing attire, an exotic looking dress with no sleeves, wide waist band, and sashes along her body, two of which were wrapped around her wrists. She returned Alexis's smile, her golden eyes gleaming mischievously, "But yes, I'm here about them as well. Did Mr. Korvut give you some time off for once?

Alexis looked Fox over giving an approving nod at her get up and smiled brightly. "Ahhh so this is where you get off to when I don't see ya, I'll have to come watch your performance at some point." The girl slipped into the seat Nona had just occupied and waved to Ameiko giving a call. "Just some water when you get a moment please." She knew better then to try and drink anything else right now, even a brief stint in the smithy parched her throat and water was best to fight off dehydration and heat stroke not that she ever experienced such if she could help it.

"In answer to your question Fox he did, drunk again I assume or recovering from a hangover and just wanting some quiet. I'm not going to complain, he is a grouchy foul-mouthed man but he knows his craft, good teacher when he is in a good mood or, at least not drunk." She chuckled again and tipped her head in a nod of thanks to Ameiko before taking a big swig from her glass. "Ahhh...that hits the spot." She couldn't really catch what Nona and the man were discussing, the noise was to much right now. "You going after the pesky little blighters to Fox? I've seen you on the hunts could always use a shot like yours for taking out the buggers." Alexis patted the sword at her side and smiled wide again. "I'll be doing what I can, the extra gold would be nice but I'm doing it mostly so they stop harassing folks."

Her eyes seemed to light a bit and she cocked an eyebrow slightly finally relaxing a bit as her excitement about a possible goblin hunt died down. "What was that about a marsh zombie witch thing? I think I've heard it might have even met the woman but I don't really know...Could go ask Mother about it see if she knows anything more if it was something you wanted to poke into a bit, otherwise I'd say we just keep our eyes out for the witch and hope she hasn't befallen any serious injury." She shrugged her shoulders after finally forcing herself to shut up by downing the rest of her water so Fox could get a word in edgewise.

[Since I won't see you until after work tomorrow Owen. Alexis would know OF Brodert but not intimately, would also more then likely know Nona meets with him or studies under him or something through asking family and such and perhaps Nona herself at some past point, just a bit of clarification incase you find it strange she would know Brodert.]

Alexis closed her eyes for a moment taking a deep breath letting it out in a slow exhale then it was back to work. She had been up and out the door at the crack of dawn that day as she usually was. She worked as an apprentice for the smith which left her with little free time on the days she wasn't either practicing combat or studying up on her schooling. Though she appreciated the education she was provided by her adopted mother Koya it never sat right with her to be one of those ladies who sat about or gossiped the days away, so when the opportunity had presented itself the young woman had gladly taken on the apprenticeship declining payment for her work, she didn't have a need for excess coin right now.

Her hammer clanged out in a steady, solid rhythm echoing around the streets and inside the shop. Her snow white hair that was often kept loose was done back in a bun to keep it out of the way with her face sporting a look of focused determination. Time ticked away before she dropped the hammer lightly beside the anvil and sat back, rolling her shoulders and cracking her back. "Ya done enough fer the day Alexis head on home now I'm lettin' ya out early." Momentarily confused Alexis looked for the voice the gears in her brain turning. The gruff old smith she apprenticed under was giving her one of his usual grumpy looks.

She knew better then to ask why or try and pry, the man was foul-tempered and a grouch but he knew his work well enough had even paid for her tools and let her work the debt off. She gave him a nod and got up from her work place collecting her things, she never left home without her standard gear, her sword, shied and armor, though she didn't always have it on. Her tools and other small enough items stuff into her backpack she headed for home the rest of the day free surprisingly. She gave a smile and a nod to those who smiled at her though she didn't stop for conversation.

She slowed as she passed one of the bounty signs, goblin ears 10g a piece? Wasn't a bad offer and if the little bastards were causing trouble she should help. "Rusty Dragon? Oh that place! Wonder how Fox is doing." She spoke to herself muttering under her breath, the poster had said nothing about the Inn but that was were adventurers went when such things popped up. With a new destination in mind she cast a look towards home then down the street further. "I'll dump my stuff of."

It didn't take her long, her bag thrown onto her bed her shield strapped to her back and her armor put on she was ready to head to the Inn. She was fixing her long sword making sure it sat proper as she was out the door shaking her head and letting her hair loosen then fall into place down her back.

Alexis arrived at The Rusty Dragon soon enough running a light jog. The place was abuzz crowded and busy but she paid it little mind for the moment she needed to find a seat. Her smile brightened when she saw both Fox and Nona just getting up from their seats, it had been a while since she had seen the studious girl and felt that another hug was due. "Nona!" She called and in a brisk stride had crossed to her arms wrapped around the girl's midsection and she squeezed down in a big hug even swinging the girl in a circle before setting her down and giving her a clap on the back. "Hello you to Fox, you both here about the goblins?" She asked, a big smile on her face as she beamed at the pair.

Zeran simply rolled his eyes at being called a kid and let it slide this time. "Well we need to get this giant slab of bacon back home now before it starts to stink. I've no idea how long we have before then so if someone does I'm all ears." He walked a slow circle around the boar and sighed. "Kyrie, Miguel help me with this. You two are stronger then I am but I'll lend a hand. We can load him up and get it going home."

A knot had formed in the former pirate's stomach as their mapping march had progressed from the boggard, something big was coming but he hadn't a clue what for all he knew it was just the travel fatigue making him a bit paranoid of unmarked lands. "So who wants to take bets we end up falling into a nest of really angry flies with hats or something else?" He jested to the group though keeping his eyes ahead.

13 Sarenith, Giant Bacon.

"Uh anyone else get the impression we shouldn't be-" Zeran was cut short as what he had hoped wasn't there, was there. Seems the legendary boar was home today and the party had shown up as uninvited guests. "Oh bloody hell! MOVE!" He shouted scrambling off the wagon pistol in one hand the other fumbling for a bullet. He hadn't seen the blow but the curse from the old dwarf and the cry of pain from Jargon was indication enough for him and he winced.

"Come on...come on!" His hands fought to reload his pistol trying to get that extra fraction of a second in, given how violent this boar was coupled with it only getting angrier as his friends struck at it he knew each second counted. "Got it!" Loaded and ready to fire he narrowed his eyes, took aim and let the bullet fire from his pistol.

The results were pleasing to the gunslinger, Tuskgutter had probably taken its fair share of blades and arrows but the loud bang of his pistol coupled with the round driving home into it's shoulder had given it pause for a moment. "Finish that thing before it remembers it can still gore us!" Zeran shouted.

A moment of alarm ran through him as he saw the boar aiming for Miguel, but the alarm faded as Giles delivered the killing blow. He waited a moment letting everyone catch their breath and take a moment to let the battle haze fade. "Froderick is Jargon going to be alright?"

After being relayed about her health: Good News

"Glad she is going to be alright. Remind me never to piss you or her off you both have a mean swing and I don't got enough meat on my bones to take a hit like that."

After being relayed about her health: Bad News
"Can she still move well enough at least? We can take some time to rest but away from this area, kinda stinks and we don't want to risk infection."

After responding in regards to health

Zeran walked over to the boar and looked at it, crossing his arms over his chest and tilting his head to the side. "Wasn't there a bounty for this guy? I'd suggest we get his head back before to long, a rotting boar head doesn't make for safe travels."

He turned to Giles after a moment and called out. "You doing alright? You took a nasty side check yourself." He hadn't seen the full extent of it but his gut did tell him the man might need some rest as well, and would probably be sore for a few days.

If Jargon and Giles need some time to rest Zeran is more then willing to wait for a bit but urgency is of the matter he feels not being knowledgeable in the rate of decomposition and what the dead boar might end up attracting.

Zeran was about to stop Kyrie from approaching and let out a soft sigh as things took a little more tense. He shot a glare at the large frog thing and turned his attention back to the frogman. "Kyrie we best be on our way. He doesn't want a fight simple as that, Garuum and his friend here just want to be left alone and they don't care at all about our map making. I'd suggest we leave a little margin note about them so we don't forget and intrude again." He motioned to the cart and gave the farmgirl a small smile. "Come on let's just get out of here and let them be, lest they start causing a ruckus I see no reason why we should fight them." His eyes kept darting to that large frog. He was less concerned about Garuum and more concerned about the frog, THAT would be their main concern should a fight break out.

Trophy

Zeran simply shrugged his shoulders. "I don't care either way, I'm proud of my shot, it lies dead. I only asked if anyone else thought it was an alright idea." He left it at that and went back to where he had been sleeping he was still tired. "Oh nice footwork back there lass." He shot Kyrie a smile having stopped for a moment, faking a need to take a small stretch before he headed off again.

Zeran had kept his eyes on the beast as his companions fought it, slime and vegetation looks strange as they were hacked apart and tried to fight back. He was dismayed when the thing tried to flee with surprising speed, they had bested it but he was tired of loading a bullet only to have their foes leave or die. "Oh no, not this time. Even if I miss I don't damn well care." The man growled under his breath.

With single minded determination he bounded after it trying to get a better shot. He got into position, his eyes followed the movement and he trained his shot. Click, boom. His gun went off with a blast and he held his breath as he saw the spurt. Was it enough? Would it lick it's wounds or- it fell and his lips curled into a smile.

"Solid Hit!" He heard Kyrie call and he waved to her with his gun. "Finish that thing, you know more about plants then I do and thanks, glad that bullet hit." He called to her and watched her hack at the center of the body, what he could assume she had determined to be the roots of the plant monster. He was pleased, and tired, he was damn tired of everything that wanted them dead or maimed attacking during the night. "I say we bring part of it back as a trophy, any objections?" He asked turning to look at the rest of the party hoping they didn't, this wasn't your everyday kind of kill.

Zeran watched as the bear turned human then poofed and was blown away scattered to the four winds for his final resting place. He took a moment, simply watching his companions as they continued their business about the area. "Huh, that honestly has to be the strangest thing I've seen so far." The Pirate Mused scratching his chin a bit in thought. He listened to Gile's report on both the cave and the water nodding. "Sounds handy, I'll make a note of it on the map, when we get thing settled we can try and convert this into a friendlier temple, perhaps one people will visit. The water will be a tremendous boon provided we don't drink it dry."

Holstering his weapon for now he sat himself on the edge and watched the horse then the dwarf, hoping both were alright. "Don't either of you go dying on us yet, we still need you and to be honest? I've grown to like you a fair bit Froderick, you and Jargon make an excellent team, saved my ass once already." He cracked a small smile, sincere in his words.

Either it was the place, or the tranquility that had settled over but Zeran felt at ease, at peace not tempted to wise crack or joke for once.

Zeran sighed as the bear stumbled out and he stared at it feeling very uneasy. "Uh, that is a very big bear. I don't like the head shaking either. Uh...after you?" He motioned to the dwarf, getting ready to follow close enough behind. "I'll shoot it once I'm in range." He said keeping his eyes on the prize.

20 Desnus, Dancing!

Zeran simply shrugged, this was one of the least annoying things that had happened by far so he simply let his foot tap away even joining in with the movement of his head. "Well, this isn't as bad as it could have been at least I can still steer." He mused to no one in particular, sighing and keeping his eyes ahead. It was going to be, a LONG journey.

21 Denus, Greased up Pigs?

"Kyrie what hap-" Zeran was cut short as he lost his own footing when he tried to stand, and with much regret splatted onto the dwarf wincing a bit hoping the dwarf really was made of sterner stuff then an old man. When Froderick didn't collapse and keel over as it were Zeran let out a sigh of relief and carefully got to his feet helping the dwarf up. "Sorry."

Fighting the urge the entire time to start cracking jokes or comments of a flirtatious nature towards Kyrie and the rest of the group he took his time getting dressed letting out another sigh. "Well, despite all of us looking absolutely fabulous. Especially you Kyrie and Froderick." He grinned at them both, clearly his will power for his own shenanigans was non-existent.

Dressed and ready he carefully got Froderick his things before making ready to leave. Karma was against him as he ended up going splat face first, universal retribution for his antics. He didn't stand, he just laid there and laughed and laughed and laughed until he had to move, it wasn't all good laughter either he was starting to get angry and upset.

23 Denus, dead man!

Zeran looked at the dead guy and scratched his chin. "So...is anyone else thinking we should move the logs and strip him of any valuables and then skirt him off to the side and make his body look a bit more respectable, then, well, flat?" He stopped scratching his chin and shrugged. "But if any of you are going to get angry with me over that, then shall we simply de-log the man and right his body some?" A simple suggestion, he already had an excellent ax from their good friend Kressle. "Oh, if anyone else wants that ax by all means. Kressle, uh, 'donated' one to me when we parted ways."

25 Desnus, why does everything want to eat us?

Zeran cursed under his breath before he started grabbing for his pistol. "Froderick you hang on, don't you dare let that thing swallow you!" He shouted, sounding distressed and a bit paniced, unusual for the former pirate, though being a potential meal was usually a good panic inducer.

He cursed again. "Really? really? More of them? Why, why does everything want to eat us!" He wracked his brain as his hands followed the reloading motions, also making sure he was skirting back as Froderick moved, keeping himself away from the water and the other potential tongue.

"Giles I don't know your strengths or weakness but you seem to be a crack shot. Mind helping our dwarf out a bit while I load Mr.Boom here?" He called, giving the man a grin. Now that the initial shock of potentially being devoured had passed for the moment it was all action and wise cracking.

[Back Post 1]

Zeran flicked his eyes between Kyrie and Giles and shook his head chuckling. "Lass if I did indeed have a twin I'd have him with me, I think this man here has quite the copying skill though." He clapped her on the back in return and gave her a broad smile in good spirits despite being cloned.

[Backpost 2]

Zeran shook his head and ran his fingers through his hair working the knots out seemingly easy. Soon enough his hair was back in proper order and he was wiping his face clean. "I'm starting to lose my patience. Sooner we get the hell out of here the better." He growled looking rather annoyed by whatever prankster was mucking with them.

[Back Post 3]

When Zeran exchanged the ammo back he counted it and nodded glad to see it all there, and checked three times to make sure all his powder was accounted for. Satisfied he wasn't missing anything he checked once more before finally letting the neutral poker face drop. He was angry. "Might I suggest if we catch whoever is doing this we beat them with a branch until they stop twitching? I know that is overly cruel but to be perfectly honest I'm THIS close to turning us around and going back to get some tinder and burn this forest to the ground." He held his thumb and pointer finger fairly close, almost touching.

It wasn't a serious threat, the tone of his voice gave that away but the look on his face was of a man who has had his buttons pushed far to often and to much in to short a span.

[Mites!]

Zeran sat up and cracked his eyes open. If hatred could be manifested in physical form it was him right now. "Alright, SOMEONE IS GOING TO DIE!" He shouted nearly frothing at the mouth. He grumbled something about 'why is it every time we leave those f**king walls we f**king get f**king ambushed at f**king night.' He took a breath and sighed all while he worked to load his pistol.

"FOR ONCE I WOULD LIKE SOME PEACE AND F**KING QUIET!" He shouted out again taking aim at the nearest mite ready to show it the inside of its own skull. He admittedly was curious as to why the plant life was attacking the little vermin, but discretion being the better part of valor he approached cautiously keeping behind Kyrie. "What the hell? Either nature itself wants these things dead or our unseen pranksters are helping us I figure." He grumbled, his anger subsided for the moment. They had a battle ahead of them.

[Could try shouting the Mites down since he speaks undercommon.]

Zeran facepalmed wiping his hand down his face in exasperation. "Yes, tartuk is gone. I shot him dead and you're people are free." He gets an idea and reaches behind him into his things and fishes out the purple faker's journal holding it up. "This was his, if he was alive I wouldn't have this. We don't want your radishes, take them with you and go see your chief he will give you the details. But please we would rather avoid fighting." He said, trying to keep upbeat but his itch to get home was bothering him, he had been enough from a bed for this trip.

[Hopefully someone can convince them further if I didn't.]

Clone Mirror Gag Go!

Zeran looked up with confusion as he wasn't handed stew. Then his eyes met...himself. He couldn't believe what he was seeing at first and decided to test it to see if it was just a mirror.

He jumped from the table and pointed his eyes surprised when the copy followed suit. Next followed a series of odd movements even going so far as to do a heel pivot and arm cross before whipping back around and pointing. Head tilts eye winks and jazz hands all was copied well and he couldn't make it out. "I think, we might have a problem here." He said out loud looking completely stumped. He knew it wasn't a mirror, but the way the clone copied him was eerily exact.

Zeran fished out Miguel's rope and handed it to Froderick only to be slightly surprised to see him toss it to Kyrie. "Fingers don't want to work the knots?" He jested giving the old dwarf a playful grin and a respectful bow. As he got things sorted out and ready for their departure in the morning.

“You will pay for this. We are agents of the Stag Lord. This is our territory and he will not let such insults pass.”

He heard one of the bandits say and a grin crossed his face as he turned on his heel pointing in the air with his pointers but close to his body bent at the elbow. He had seen Froderick give them the stare and his grin only grew. "Excuse me, but do you think we give a damn? I personally blew Kressle's brains out the back of her head after her and I finished our little dance, the Thorn Ford river camp is gone and done with. You lot don't scare us and this Stag Lord is welcome to huff and puff and blow all he wants but he isn't going to scare us." He clapped his hands together and chuckled a bit.

"I suggest you get your sleep, we got a trek ahead of us and I wouldn't want you collapsing and getting dragged behind and I doubt you want that either." His spirits were in an all time high, for once an encounter hadn't ended with them horribly wounded or injured and his plan had gone off without to much of a hitch.

leaving a gap here in time for any responses.

He slept soundly that night with his grin on his face and high hopes for the future.

11 Desnus

Zeran looked at the bridge as they passed it and scratched his chin. "Can we make a note of this? I'd like to fix it up once we get properly established and such, no sense having a bridge collapse on travelers least of all us should we ever need to make proper use of it." He said, more as a suggestion hoping it would be a good one. He personally didn't fancy the idea of having to swim across the river constantly, would be great for cardio though.

12 Desnus - Passing Thorn Ford Camp.

Zeran made sure to point out the ruins of the camp, though not easily seen it wasn't hard to make sure they got noticed. He was just sad he couldn't point out Kressle's dead body, that would have been an extra treat for their new 'friends.' "See? I wasn't kidding. Soak it in." Was all he said before he went back to humming the song stuck in his head. He didn't need to say more, if others wanted to they could but he had said his peace those nights ago at least for now.

15 Desnus - Kobolds.

Zeran blinked, first the radishes caught his eye then the clearly stuffed kobolds and their reaction. "Woah woah easy there. We don't want your radishes, are the Sootscale doing better without Tartuk now? Things improving?" He asked, hoping to ease them down a bit and maybe have them click two and two together and figure out who the party was. "When you get back please send our regards to your chief." He added, a friendly smile on his face as he kept his body relaxed and his posture friendly. He was hoping they wouldn't come to blows, the kobolds had proved friendly enough and the last thing he wanted and hoped the rest of the group agreed, was to piss them off.

Zeran didn't pop a grin this time when he removed the sentry from combat, they still had the rest to deal with and if their intimidation failed then they would be fighting. "Oi now listen here, you want your friend alive you put your hands on the back of your head and don't move a single muscle." He barked at the other bandits pointing his empty fire arm in their direction hoping they weren't well versed in this particular art of bulls**tery.

If they cooperated then they could possibly save the sentry, and if they didn't well that was just another bit of banditry removed from the country side for now.

Kobolds

Zeran was pleased with their help to the kobolds and with the prospect of future dealings with them, was much more preferred to having to slaughter the entire tribe to make way for 'civilized' people. "Well you can bet we also look forward to working with you sir." He gave a polite bow, his two words said he waited to follow the rest of the group feeling in high spirits, he hadn't been stabbed or nearly killed for once this time or diseased either he was on cloud nine if only for a moment. "Oh that reminds me, tell Mikmek he can keep that blade but to take care of it it was a...gift of sorts."

A thought occurred to him and he scratched his chin looking at the journal. He thought about filling the chieftan in with the details of Tartuk's life, how he wasn't the first Kobold chieftan to be tricked but he had been the last. He decided against it and instead decided to translate it into common so the rest of the party could have a read when they got back to Oleg's. Then another thought occured to him. "Er, Chief Sootscale if it isn't to much to ask, what are you going to do with your mite captive now that his colony has been taken out? Let it go or kill it? If you like I can have a word with it maybe convince it to bugger off far, far away and never come back perhaps 'convince' it to spread word of what fate would await any other mites that might want to poke around here." He suggested, giving a light shrug of his shoulders. "Doesn't matter to me, I'm positive we have seen the last of those little pests for a good long while."

[More to maybe come, wish to discuss a few things with Owen first >.>]
Sleeping? Nope!

Zeran rolled over and wiped a hand down his face after Krii woke him. "Let me guess, we are being attacked right?"

After Krii informs them, leaving response open to Nich.

"Well, that is a change of pace can't say I'm happy to be awake again without proper sleep. But I also can't say I'm not eager to take another poke at these fools. Although, perhaps we could scare them off? They go running back tails between their legs the Stag Lord might off 'em as an example save us the trouble. Or they might just piss off entirely and we wouldn't have to deal with them."

Zeran didn't anticipate the option of 'diplomacy' would go over well with the rest of the group, truth be told he just didn't want to waste another shot or three. Mentally as he waited for response he reloaded his pistol and got it ready, and decided that only one bullet would HOPEFULLY be needed tonight, if not then he had a job when he got back to Oleg's provided some catastrophic event that ended with him dead or missing.

Zeran gave his pistol a light twirl blowing the smoke from the barrel as he watched the kobold go limp in the dwarf's hands. "Oh I love it when this thing works." He said with a wide grin of satisfaction. The bird however caught his attention next. "YOU! GET BACK HERE!" He shouted at the bird keeping his eyes on it watching where it went intent on following after it if the rest of the party desired to as well.

Zeran sighed and wiped his eyes with the palm of his hand finding the dirt and grime bothersome. "Remind me next time we go diving into a mite lair, thing, warren, to pack an explosive barrel and bury the bastards." He growled mostly to himself before stretching to keep himself limber and hope he wouldn't be to stiff. He was happy to see the Kobold was willing to fight, less so that he didn't have anything to give the little man. Then it dawned on him as he felt around his person.

"Here use this unless you want a spear." He said offering the dagger that had, at the start of their adventure all those nights ago, been making home in his stomach. He had kept the thing as a kind of 'trophy' and 'parting gift' from his 'beloved' the thought made him crack a cheeky grin and mentally do a little song and dance. He was ready to go again, quite eager in fact to finish this off and get out of the tunnels.

Zeran simply groaned when the dwarf forced him down. He hadn't any experience with something as fierce as this but he trusted Froderick enough to stay put. He nodded at the dwarf and army crawled after him sticking right on his heels, shouting hoping he heard. "Thanks Froderick, I like storms but this is ridiculous. You take the lead and I'll follow you to the letter!" he hollered, determination crossing his features.

Zeran blinked, and blinked again throwing his hands up after. "Alright! That's it I quit I'm going back to Oleg's! Everyone up! NOW!" He barked the last bit, scrambling to get things under way and get them the hell out of there.

((Time to roll new characters! XD))

Zeran raised an eyebrow as Poro spoke, setting his weapon back into his holster to show he wasn't going to maim the little kobold. He looked between Froderick and the kobold and shrugged. He waited and listened, making mental note of what was exchanged, things were getting interesting. He understood the creature's motives for such and since it had stopped fighting and was co-operating instead he let the attempted robbery slide, slightly only.

Zeran grumbled as he rubbed sleep from his eyes. "Why the hells, is it always the middle of the damn night." He grumped fumbling for his gun but not as quickly as he normally would, Krii's tone and manner of addressing their interlopers hadn't sparked the 'we're under attack' bells. "What in blazes is?- A kobold. A single, kobold." He looked less unimpressed and more baffled.

"Oi, you little lizard, dragon, thing I'd suggest you stop trying to get yourself free otherwise we will have to kill you understand? You're stealing from us so you're lucky we don't do so. How about instead you sit down and explain yourself. Namely why the hell you thought it was a good idea to try and steal from a group of people armed and bigger then you, by yourself." Zeran barked, not to threatened by the beast but he kept his 'wand' in sight for the lizard to detract from it fleeing hopefully, since running doesn't do to well when something can hit you from afar.

Zeran looked at the approaching horror and blinked having to double take. "Well, if we hadn't been attacked by a small furry child zombie creature I'd say this was a surprise. But frankly I'm surprised I wasn't surprised." He looked at Froderick as the shambling undead made its way over, giving the dwarf a 'who knows' shrug before turning to face their newcomer. "I'll assume your nettle, and I'll also assume the Stag Lord and his cronies did you something nasty hm? Well you are indeed right we are NOT part of his group and they aren't to fond of us. May, I ask what happened exactly? But yes, once we deal with that git I'll happily chuck his body into the river. Though, any information YOU, may have about the git might save us some hassle. Mind if we parlay a bit or should we abscond?" Zeran asked, looking surprised now, conversing with a corpse, not something you did all the time.

Zeran looked about and frowned a bit. "Hmmm..." He gave the rope a light tug and jerked it about some to see how strong it was. "I'm going to wager...swimming isn't an option and I don't trust this rope to much either." He mused outloud before giving the bell a light poke. "Well? I say we ring this and stay on our toes, that shack looks more or less abandoned but you never know. Who wants to do the honors or shall I?"

Zeran sucked back the potion and gave a nod of his head to Kyrie. "Much appreciated. Now, how about we see to slapping these fools around? Hopefully avoid more stomach wounds I WOULD like to eat tomorrow." He jested, with a grimace and a shake of his head. He narrowed his eyes and focused off into the distance seeing the commotion. "Go on ahead of me they will need your help if that f**ker decides he has balls to fight to the end. I'll catch up." As he spoke his hands followed the routine to reload his gun, if he got the chance he would blast yon fool into oblivion.
