Topic: The Death of the Inn?
Subject: don't say its so....

Reading the thread title. i must admit i have mixed feelings, none of them very welcome.

i know the inn has been on a steady decline for the last couple of years.

And has seemed on life support for the last bit.

reading the thread title part of me feels sadly resigned to an impending fate.

the other is awash in nostalgic memories an half blind hope that the inn would always be their.

everyone's lives evolved an got so busy.

I've meet inmates an had adventures that let me grow as a writer an emotionally as a person.

I'm glad the inn was part of my story.

Their will always be a little hearth fire an a tankard of froth an slosh in my heart.

A soft smirk crosses Stars face as she nods back to the priestess, an speaks.

"Ah, tho the warriors with me are virtuous an worthy of Hamon-rye's benevolence an honor. Their fate as our own, is still upon the goddess Neth's loom. As she weaves all our lives, good or ill. "

Star shifted her cloak so that her hands were free benith it but still conseiled. Standing up a little straighter, though it pained her to do so Star spoke again her voice hinted with a air of authority.

"we seak those who wish to subjugate the people that worship in this temple, an mar the scantiety of this holy temple leaving only discreate an ruin within their wake."

Star watched the woman's body an face for tell's of her reaction to her words. Tracing a warding seal into the wax covering of a vile of brined holy water. both salt an water had been blessed. Though Star had never had the chance to use it before, she was unsure it would work completely to bind the entity before them.

lawl

reading Alacrity's post drinking my morning coffee. i almost snorted it through my nose reading that last line.

An a bad double though weather Star would take a joking second thought at accepting (she wouldn't but in my morbid humor it would be funny to make everyone sweat for a second or two)

Star moved to stand between captain an sarge. Her eyes raking over the alter then over the woman.

"May the great lord Hamon-rye's benevolence shine upon you priestess. take your leave of this place thus-sly an know in thy heart his true protection an blessings be upon you." Star's voice echo'd hollowly against the chamber walls, in broken Egyptian.

Star pulled her cowl up more, half covering her mouth to filter out the incense smoke stiffing a soft cough.

Placing a hand on the captains' arm in warning in a low whisper Star's eyes flitted around the room looking for tell signs in hieroglyphs.

"Many priestesses attested to be seers burned Opiates an many unsavory things to call upon their visions. I do not trusts this waxen puppet." Star's voice was almost venomous as her eyes raked over the woman in front of them.

Star took the flashlight from doc. Her eyes scouring the hieroglyphs. Tucking the flashlight under one arm star slinging the rifle over her shoulder she drew her pistol. Her eyes darting around making sure the party was still near her, not wanting to get left behind.

i just had a thought (i know the evil shadows shirk back in recoil)

a undead cleric that has a phobia of fly's & bugs. An that every time he uses heal he burns the ends of his fingers making them "tinggly" with major spells he risks "spell burn an the chance of spell spash back undoing him.

an a bard that make up jingles to popular children themes like lamb-chops "this is the song that dosen't end" to "this is the song for the undead"

bahaha

Subject: power within word

Keeping one eye on the zombies Star's eyes kept being drawn back to the giant Hammond-Ra. Her eyes raking over the glyph s quickly translating them in her mind.

The most were admonitions to the opulentic powers of Hamond-Ra. Though a small set stood apart making a soft shiver as she unconsciously spoke aloud the translations.

"Though her spirit lies far from us in heaven westward she will come again an be everlasting."

Stars voice was quite deepened by a quavering but thick Romanian accent. The sense of dread an foreboding washed over her.

Those words were laced with power, ancient power that which didn't dwell in this world any longer.

Star moved over an lightly traced her fingers over the glyph s. what evil were the calling upon? what power were they dabbling with to unleash upon the rest of the unsuspecting world?

Star had the same thought process as Sarge pulling out her own Entrenching Tool an hefting it as one would a baseball bat. Though she mused the shovel end would work more as an ax then a bat. She couldn't swing as hard as the men in the unit would but she didn't doubt her ability to roll a few heads.

Topic: Quest for the pickle
Subject: Quest for the pickle

I've been toying with tossing this up for a while, but the inn's been so dead an everyone's been so busy this summer with RL craziness...

quest for the pickle

so theirs some pick up char's listed already or make a char its up to you.

i'd run it fairly open world.

basic (very rough ) outline...

kelpto kendar and a alchemist embark on a quest for pickles and hi-jinks and unexplained explosions ensue.

terms & references:

the old butterscotch slip - ref for when someone (merchants) barter for an item and are given a package with some of the said item inside but much more of a lesser items with it. (ie. 1/4 pack of butter scotch and 3/4 chocolate pudding)

flaggle - to haggle simple for the enjoyment of it. "come on we don't got time to sit around a flaggle all day..." (many merchants pride themselves with having excellent flaggle skills and will put wagers on guilds or individuals who have a reputation of extremely good flaggling skills.

a pickle with out garlic- to take the joy out of life. "oh, your just like a pickle with out garlic."

the cold floor shuffle - kender improved fighting style (ala drunken master)

Chars:

Kendar:

Alchemist:

merchant: (kabold) Vaine - has a large obvious vein in his forehead that bulges when angry. joke over weather his mother named him for that or the fact he feels himself the handsomest kabold in the known world. in fact in kabold terms he is marginally average.

the "infamous" Cat Burglar(NPC)
- think black cat from tri gun...
- black cat with red women underwear wrapped around his head like a ninja mask.
- name : burgles (hence cat burglar)
- epic skilled thief and omnipresent to disaster or help *pending roll*

umm idk if its the win 10 upgrade but ive been having some odd things happen with the inn.

when i fist load the page it auto signs me out but i can quickly click the sign in button to sign back in.

an when i go to different links through the inn i get script code between the loading pages as the browser loads.

its nothing to major just minor irritants really... at least i hope its not a sign of something else lurking...

an a odd question ...

is their any way to go through the inbox mail other then deleting them one at a time?

hi i tossed up a quick post. i left it open so you can add what details you think star would glean from the surrounding temple.

Subject: writing on the walls... not just graffiti

Star frowned at the mention of splitting up.

Half distracted by the hieroglyphs on the walls. Though most of the glyphs had been scoured away by blowing sand an time. The mention of Monanedra the goddess consort of Hamon-Rye stood out clearly. Star brushed her hand over a glyph it look as if it was almost fresh an untouched by the ravages of time. Star was also drawn by the odd fact that the temple was circular. Quickly thinking back to the other times she had been in similar temples. Korm Ombo, Khonsu, Amun-re had all followed a square or t-shaped pattern. making her think this temple was from the Ptolemaic dynasty. Star furrowed her brow at the implications of possibility of mixing panthionic magics. wrangling the childish tiffs of one pantheons domestic squabbling was bad enough mixing two was cause for in-fighting.

star sighed softly rubbing her eyes in irritation bringing her mind back to the present. focusing on the backs of the men before her Star tried to ignore the sounds emanating from the temple.
