ok, so we'll try Next Saturday evenings at the same time as Tuesday.(this sat being my b-day an i may likely be out /busy unless someone else wants to GM that night... ).
i'd like to still keep Tuesday as a regular chat day though.

Subject: playing catch up....
Fenir's mood improved more over as they travelled. the beauty of the hilled and sharp geology was stunningly impressive. Fenir made a note to look for several large shards of quartz on the next trip through the hills, not wanting to stop in the middle of the trail an halt the precession. though they often had to slow and ride single file they seemed to me making decent time.
Fenir was both impressed and disheartened to see the gaping maw of void in the surrounding countryside which was the mole mining quarry. the sense of height an scale of the mining seemed immense as the moles looked like busy industrialized ants in their hill. As they descended Fenir nodded an smiled at many of the workers who paused in their toil and greeted them before beginning their work once more.
Ribbon asked one of the passing mole where they might find Foreman Tigwyn.
“Hrmm,” the miner replied. “Likely down in ‘is office down at th’ bottom there. Th’ only building down there. Ye can’t miss it.”
The door to the office was open, so the companions walked in.
Fenir smiled as master Weldon greeted them, as they conversed Fenir couldn't help but feel drawn to study the maps before Tigwyn. catching himself looming over the desk and smaller statured mole in his eagerness to soak in the details of the maps on the desk.
Master weldon took his leave an Tigwyn related his tale. Fenir listened in detail pulling himself from the maps. Fenir tried to keep from grinning like a fool as the little mole's lysp seemed unduly humorous accounting such dire circumstances.
“I thent thix of my betht moleth to Thadow’s Rootht…but none returned. They muths have made a nyth thupper for that fat owl.
“Now he threatenth to come back every new week for another bag of gold, and what can we do but comply?”
“Will you help uth?”
Fenir's brow furrowed and he crossed his arms an cupped his chin in contemplation.
Violet was the first to speak up "Let me get this straight. Some vermin of a beast made a demand, and when it was not met, then the owl appears? Is anyone else bothered by this?"
Fenir arched a brow and looked at the tiny squirl. "seems straight forward to me, vi?" Fenir grumbled waiting for vi's further explanation.
"Well, I talked with Machin before we left, and asked him about the stories. He told me they were pretty vague now, being from many many seasons ago. But he did tell me about another owl he knew. He mentioned that they are majestic creatures. So then, why would such a creature assist a vermin that they could easily consider below them? Payment? What would a bird need of our money?" Vi rubbed at her forehead. The specific emphasis she places on 'bird' is, as the others would recognize, in a sort of respect.
"I think... we might want to try and find out what it is that's going on." Violet mused.
Fenir smiled at vi. "an this is why I'm glad we have you vi. brains over all our testosterone fueled brawn."

Fenir awoke the bright mid-morning light streaming into the bedroom. He'd slept well, but the daylight seemed blinding and a heavy headache thrummed behind his eyes. He winced sitting up an almost immediately regretted the choice his head swimming. Quickly flopping back on to the bed Fenir pressed his eyes shut tight allowing the room to stop spinning.
He chuckled to himself, hadn't even take off his boots. He carefully reached down and awkwardly pulled the boot he'd half kicked off in his sleep back on. Shading his eyes he sat up supporting himself with the edge of the bed. this time wasn't as bad the room only swayed from side to side. standing Fenir slowly worked his way to the room's doorway. He was grateful of the relative darkness of the hall as the room door shut behind him. he rested his head on the cool wood of the door for a moment steeling himself for the jarring trip down the stairs.
Fenir hear the little mouse several stairs before they reached the common room of the inn.
we’re here together and I made muffins and our hosts made some delicious granola. Oh! They put this syrup over it... maple, I think... mmmmmm, it’s so good! You’ve got to try it.”
the little mouse warrior jumped into the arms of each of her friends and while assaulting them with a similar verbal barrage
Even as Fenir winced catching the small mouse girl in his arms he couldn't hide the smile. some how he could never be grumpy or angry with the excitable little mouse.
though as she recited her story with the detail of an epic bard. Fenir ordered a double willow bark and mint tea to take the edge off of his throbbing headache. Fenir found that a good breakfast also did wonders to better his mood and constitution.
Soon after breakfast, the companions said their farewells to Rosey and Martin and set off for the Quarry.

i'm hopping to get a post up thursday or friday. i got swamped with some knitting i'm trying to get done for a friends birthday.
but for the mounts i think the lizards are good idea. they'll be faster then wagons an let us get the quarry faster.
but the wagons we can haul more people an if attacked' we'd have some avalable cover to use. but i'm still for the mounts...
i just hope no one gets motion sick from teh ride...
