Subject: First Day & Night of Travel
So the group was finally back on the road after all of the fun and drama surrounding the the village they had just left. Now traveling with some new companions the group had a different dimension than it did when they entered the village.
Xuor took the lead as the party moved out as was his usual spot as a ranger and he kept a careful watch on the surrounding areas as they moved on. A few times as the lay of the land required it Xuor would ride off by himself so as to scout out a difficult area or to make sure they are not being watched or there is no place ahead where they could be ambushed by thieves or cutthroats.
This first day on the road Xuor keeps pretty much to himself and just does his job as scout and has very little interaction with any of the others. As the day wears into evening he finds the party a nice campsite area and they start to settle in for the night. Being as helpful as he can he starts a good little cooking fire and helps those who might not be as outdoor savvy as others prepare their sleeping area so they will be safe through the night.
The cooking is done and a good meal passed around, night watch is set and the two magic uses set up alarmed and wards to further protect the camp, although he is not quite sure what it is that Alexandria's
spell did for sure it seemed she wanted to keep more of an eye on each person in the party more than keep an eye on the surrounding area, but whatever it meant nothing to Xuor for he had nothing to hide, he had fully committed himself to Brianna and her quest.
Even though it seemed that watch was taken care of Xuor knows he can never sleep the whole night so he learns who will be watching when and decides that he will awaken and keep watch when Brianna does the last watch near morning. When Devon calls them over to see the word which will allow them to pass without setting off the alarm spells. He sets it to memory, and once it is dark and all are preparing to sleep he will speak to Brianna before she beds down. Brianna may I speak with you for a moment. You know that as an elf I have excellent night vision and with my bow and climbing I an very at home in the trees as we set camp and such I have scoped out a nice large tree very near by that offers both nice camouflage as well as a comfortable place to sleep. I will be able to get my sleep and keep a good watch on the whole camp from the air. Then if you don't mind I would like to join you for your early morning watch.
If she is ok with his plan he will leave camp uttering the word to pass and climb into the tree he had picked . Settling into a comfortable position from which he could both watch and/or sleep he will take out a rope he has just for these times and loosely tie himself with a special knot he learned that he could release with one pull. From here he keeps watch on the camp.

Subject: The Morning Sunrise
The night passes quickly with Xour getting a very restful sleep. He rises very early as is his custom up even before the sun rises above the horizon. Dressing fully and with all his gear packed and loaded upon his body in it's usual fashion Xour first off makes his way down to the inns dinning area and finding the first person who can take an order from him finds out what if any fresh fruits or vegetables the inn may have and makes a breakfast order to be prepared to be served upon his return.
Moving out into the dark streets for the sun is still a ways from rising the ranger sets out on a little run. Whistling for his friend Dawg his wolf the two set out for a couple miles of overland running something Xour tries to do on a regular basis as a way to keep his lungs and heart working well when he is in battle situations for he knows the longer it takes him to tire the better off he is in any battle so he likes to work on his stamina.
Running hard he and Dawg cover the streets rather quickly and then the wolf as is characteristic takes the lead and with Xour in tow leads him on a cross country obstacle course which ends with them both back at the inn just as the sun breaks over the horizon. Going in Xour finds the waiters and along with his fresh breakfast orders a couple nice lamb chops raw. Taking his plate and the lamb he goes back outside and giving the meat to Dawg the two sit together and hungrily devour their breakfast.
About this time Brianna appears and she is going to be taking the horses over to the blacksmith to have their shoes checked and redone if necessary. So Xour falls in next to her and proceeds to help her with the horses. When the time comes for his own mare Lighting he asks the smith to be doubly sure that all is ready for the mountains.
As they wait for each horse Xour sits back and watches as Brianna goes through her own morning routine of practicing with her swords. He can't help but admire the way the warrior lady handles her weapons her movements are so fluid and smooth and when she has both weapons out and moving it is like a wall of slicing steel.
Quite an interesting evening yesterday turned out to be. I did notice however that you where not quite as comfortable as you would like to have been when Lorae left you to handle the diplomacy with the riders while she went after the drow. I know we have not been traveling together for as long as you and Lorae but if you ever feel you would like my input in a diplomatic setting I have had my share of handling such things as working out treaties between land owners or speaking with royalty because I will be leading their company through a rough and dangerous area. Anyway I am always glad to be of service My Lady..

Subject: Night Time
So as the evening progressed food was eaten and many drinks where drained that at one point the talk turned to retiring for the night. Since he has a room already and extra room he offers up the space to anyone who might need a spot for the night. However arty breaks up and people head off it appears to Xour that he will be bunking alone the bar maid offers to fill his mug yet again he declines by placing his hand over the mug.
He will finish off his last mug full Well this tired elf is going to turn in so last chance for free room tonight. He starts towards his room and then stops and turns back I will be going down to the stables in the morning to see what the blacksmith has to say about the shoes that our horses are wearing and if we should re shoe before trying to cross the mountains on our journey. I will probably see you then Brianna. So have a comfortable nights rest.
With that he goes to his room. Does whatever it is that a ranger does to replenish his couple of spells he carries and then hits the sack for what he hopes will be a good nights rest.

Subject: A Very Impotant Choice tobe Made.
So it seems it is time for a quick decision. As the group is now gathered in the cavern behind the falls that is all except for Riddle who ran after the creature and is now on the other side of the collapse, and
Silwen who had fallen over the cliff. They are far enough away to speak and be heard. The cavern they are in seems to have two exits.
Thor at once speaks and says they should move out at once in quest for the object they came to find, however Alea has a valid response.
"We could try moving downward," said Alea, "May.....be Silwen survived the fall, and is down there alone and hurt."She is the reason we were going this way, to get the artifact. She was the only one to have the pointer and the magics to deal with the thing. I would like finding her would be the most inportant thing we sould do."
This stops Thor at once when he realizes she is correct, Silwen was the only one who could track and possibly handle the artifact they where after. You may have a valid point Alea , however do we have the luxury of enough time to mount a search before we must be at the artifact and try to destroy it. Turning to the dwarf leader Thon what is our timetable with the battle presumable raging above us can we take the time to look for Silwen, or do you think we have no choice and without her we are doomed to fail. The choices we make here and now could impact this world for many millennia to come.
Not really knowing himself which is the right answer he does think in his heart that they are running out of time and finding the artifact and trying to destroy it is their prime concern. Looking at each member in turn he waits for their answer as what to do next.
I will throw in my last two cents on the matter, we know we can't go back as we also know Silwen has fallen deeper into the cave complex, so if neighter of the two exits lead down our choice is probably made for us so as we contemplate this let us move to and explore the two exits for our choice may be already made for us. and with this Thor moves to the exit that is on the right of where they stand and using his best dwarven knowledge tries to discern if the passage is moving up or down into the cavern.

Subject: Diner and a movie well not really.
So now with everyone together and in the inn tables and chairs are brought together and we allsit down to eat and hash out anything that is left to get straight. Xour himself not very good at being the diplomate he has usually let his bow and sword do his talking. He has however always been a good listener for it is through this that one can read into a persons true intentions by not what they are saying but by what they are not saying and in many instances in the way they are moving their body as they speak,he calls it “body talk”, but to Xour it is many times more important than what one is actually saying.
As he eats and drinks his fill he becomes quite certain that there was no evil intentions here by either side the drow or those who brought her in, they where only doing their job as they saw it.
Xour orders two of the roasted rabbits along with roasted vegies, a loaf of dark bread and a large chuck of goat cheese. He will also ask for one whole blueberry pie, and of coarse to keep his mug full of ale.
He enjoys a great meal and when they all start talking about bed .
Looking around the table he wondered if everyone had places for the night, and really before he even thought about what he was saying he spoke up If there is anyone who doesn't have a place for the night I have place for one if someone would not mind bunking with a musty Ranger who usually slumbers under the stars.” So with that he will slowly finish off his last mug of ale as he prepares to retire for the night.

Subject: A surprise ride
Preparing to fire his crossbow Thor is caught by surprise as Billy reaches down and scoops the dwarf up into his large arms and starts running off after Alea Sorry Thor but I can't let you stay behind we are already to fractionated and need to stay together,”
At first Thor resists but finally just relaxes and allows himself to be brought along Alright Big Guy you can put me down you have my word I will follow you are right we must stick close.
They find a passage behind the falls and eventually leaving the roar of the falls behind enter into a small cavern with two exits here they pause to regroup and decide their next move. The two other dwarves Thon and his companion arrive not to far behind them and they tell of the cave-in and slide that has cut off the pass behind them. Now they realize that Riddle is cut off from them probably.
So with their party at the moment reduced to just Billy, Alea, and Thor along with two of the dwarfs sent to show them the way Thon and his friend. Thor turns to the party.
Well friends looks like things are getting rather sticky, with Siliwen. Gone over the cliff and now Riddle separated from us by the gap in the path it is up to us to continue on. Thon, do you know the rest of the way we need to go to reach our original goal?
Thor waits for Thon to answer and assuming he does know where we are headed Well then I would suggest with Thon in the lead we waste nomore time here and get back under way. I will take the lead right behind Thon with Alea next the second dwarf behind Alea and Billy bringing up and protecting our rear, so unless there are any other ideas we should move out.

Subject: The priestess of Eilistraee.
As he followed Lorea he saw as they headed towards the stables then before he could catch uphe watched as the drow suddenly reappeared and stode directly in front of Lorea.They spoke and it seemed that they where all going to return to the inn together and straighten out any misunderstanding.
So Xour decides tojust turn around and head back to the inn himself and he enters just before Lorea does with the Drow right behind her.
Lorea at once launchs into an introduction.She proceeds to introduce the drow Alexandria, Priestess of Eilistraee to both the riders and to us.Then she suggests that we move some tables together and at hearing his name Xour does at once help and they move some tables and they can now all sit down and eat and drink together.

Subject: Thor stands and fights for now
Thor is torn between helping the dwarfs who are putting their lives on the line for them and fleeing as they where instructed to do, fleeing just doesn't feel right, and then what about Riddle who had gone chasing the third creature.
Turning toface Billy Thor pulls the big man down so he can yellinto his ear,
Billy stay with Alea and start moving up the path as the dwarfs told us to I won't be to far behind I am going to give them at least a little bit of long distance help and if those things get past the dwarfs rather fast someone needs to give you some time to escape, don't worry I have no death wish and will join you shortly no go.
With that he points down the trail and waves Billy on then he pulls his crossbow and loads it positions himself for best attack and begins firing away shooting at the beast closest to the edge hoping maybe since his attack is unexpected he may cause the thing to move towards the edge and lose it's balance ( wishful thinking ) knowing that crossbows take time to load and fire he will work as fast as his muscles will allow him to.

Subject: an interesting development
Xour joined Vatta outside to find out that the riders had brought in a drow which they had manacaled. It seemed they had no real reason tobring her in except for the fact that she was a drow, and the woman was asking for help, claiming tobe a cleric. Vatta seemed to be rather annoyed at the riders and ask very directly what the drow was charged with.
Xour watched and waited to see what was going to happen he was also not real comfortable with what he was seeing for it seemed that this drow was arrested for just being a drow.
He noticed that Brianna's dragon Flame was wraped around the drow neck and if Flame was comfortable with the drow Xour felt they could be also and that this detention was unjust.
Then as he watched the new person who they had just met, he is surprised that no one else seems to notice but he is sure that the drow and Lenwe are speaking although very quitly as he continues to watch Lenwe seems to be speaking under his breath when suddenly the drow vanishes. Well Xour has been around enough to know when a spell has been cast.
Then just as Lorae seems to be taking control of the situation she seems to take notice that the new one also moved out as soon as the drow dissapeared so she turns everything over to Brianna and makes an excuse about tending to the horses and quickly leaves.
Xour decided the action is going tobe outside and not in here so without saying anything while Vatta is giving the riders a peice of her mind and Brianna is defending Flame he quitly slips out the door quickly looking around in time to see Lorae heading around the back of the inn so he follows along.

Subject: Incident in a small town
As he looksover the blades he is quite impressed when the blacksmith brings out the one he forged himself Xour can tell at one it is the finest blade laid out here and he does not hesitate at all in picking that for his new hunting knife.Although he is still interested in checking on steel balls for his sling it is not a priority
For some reason his curiosity had been peaked by Vatta and what was going on outside so he quickly tells the blacksmith he would like the hunting knife and willpay what he asks for it.Then turning to Brianna Any idea what is going on out in the courtyard of the inn Vatta seemed rather exicited. I think I would like to go take a look see myself.
So grabing up his new knife and with it still in his hand he departs the shop and makes his way back towards the inn.Looking around untill he spies Vatta Xour will make his way to where she is So what goes on over there do you know why those four men are holding that one captive?

Subject: Over the edge.
Thor stands at the edge of the cliff looking over in horror
the Shelank leader had taken himself, Siliwan, and the dwarf over the edge with him.Then with a lot of diffuculty and yelling into each others ears it seems a plan to lower Alea over the edge to see if she can find Siliwan had come together.
Thor adds his rope to any others that the group has and then he adds himself to the ones who will anchor Alea's decent.

Subject: To stop a mad man
For some reason unknown to Thor the Shelank who seemed to be the leader and was the front of the Shelank wedge suddenly breaks rank with the rest and at first looks like he is charging right at Thor, but he quickly finds out he is rushing past him and trying to reach Siliwen. Thor does manage to get his crossbow up and at point blank range fires a bolt directly into the Shelank leader, but it is obvious he is on some kind of single minded mission.
Thor watches as his bolt hits hard the Shelank at point blank but it does no more than stagger the beast slightly and it continues is frantic rush forward.Riddle being next between Siliwen and the charging beast so he steps into the path and is quickly hit hard with the creatures iron rod and he finds himself slamed up against the cliff face but worse yet is the Shelanks iron rod spurts out some kind of fluid that from the looks of what starts to happen is some kind of acid because Riddles armor as well as his fleash starts to dissolve and smoke starts to rise from his body.
Thor realizes that Riddle is hurt and badly but has no way to be of any real help and Alea is right there at his side almost at once to try ro help the injured Riddle.
Next Siliwen who seemed at first to be in a daze at what was happening rouses herself and with the spell she already had prepared hits the onrushing Shelank and he sees the bolts of energy hit the beast full on and once again he is staggered but once again it continues it's charge.
So as the one dwarf that is behind all starts to move forward to try to place himself infront of Siliwen Thor seeing that the beast is to far infront of him to strike with his ax and it would take to long to try and reload his crossbow for another shoot simply tosses the bow slightly to one side and in a well praticed fluid motion pulls the throwing ax he wears on his hip and with an eye on his target attempts to plant the blade of his ax right between the Shelanks Shoulder blades

Subject: Arrows in Hand and some bullets to find.
Following along with Brianna he listens to her question and answer with the townsman looking to the areas the man points out, it seems everything is in a pretty close area here.So they make their way to the shop with the sign showing the bow and arrows and upon entering are greeted by a cheerful woman who it seems is the wife of the shops owner and who it seems does a lot of the work in the shop.
There is a nice selection of very sturdy made arrows in this shop so he takes some time by first looking over the arrows he is now carrying in his quivers.They appear to be adaquate so he will buy one score of these arrows which will fill both of his quivers to full giving him a total of 40 arrows now.He will pay the lady for his purchase.
When Vatta enters he acknowledges her with a slight bow and a smile reinforcing what Brianna had said about the arrows.
When the lady starts describing the vest that she makes Xour is a little familiar with the type of garments she is talking about having seen their type at some shops he had been in back in his past.He does know they can keep one nice and warm if you take good care of them, but like the woman said you don't want to get them wet if at all possible.
Anyways now done here they will exit the shop and look over to where the townsman said they would find the smitty.There you could see a column of smoke rising into the evening air.
Still interested in looking for a couple of different types of daggers as well as looking to see if he could find some very nice spherical heavy metal bullets for his sling.

Subject: try and Try Again
Thor watched as the Dwarf leader tried to attack the front Shelank without success and was staggered in the attempt, but his mouth dropped when Billy in a wild charge somehow mansged to get his sword to penatrate the force shield and deliver a brutal blow to the front Shelank cutting it deep in the abdomen the entire Shelank wedge took a couple of steps back and Thor was at once ready to charge in himself for it seemed the shield had been breeched.
However before he could move he watched as a arrow fired from behind him meet with the same results as all the other attacks and hit the shield and disinagrates so it seems that for a reason unknown only Billy's sword could get through. This ment that for now Billy was their only hope, odds Thor did not like, he has a quick idea and wonders if maybe the shield could be breeched while Billy's sword was passing through it so with no other options at the moment Thor loads his cross bow and positions himself at a spot where he could get a clean shot at the front Shelank as soon as Billy made his next attack Thor planned on firing as soon as he could tell that Billy's sword itself had breeched the invisable force shield, it was worth a try.

Subject: Food be done now the real shopping begins
With the first part of their shopping spree done and out of the way, and a large amount of good cooking supplies bought and being delivered the two turn their attention to what Xour considers the more fun part of shopping the buying and sell of good weapons.
When Brianna speaks of selling some of what they had gotten from one of the battles yes we might be able to sell some of the mundane weapons here, but i do doubt we can get a fair price for any of the magical ones in a small place like this, unless we run into the right buyer, but you never know.
He watches the different shops go by as they make their way across the street and towards the next destination, everything in this town was fairly close together and the distance they traveled was slight. When asked what it was he need he responds Well now there are a few things I would like to pick up. arrows as you said I also need but I am also quite Proficient in the making of some very good arrows, so as I find the time in our travel I shall make some for you as well as for myself.
Back to what to buy however I am looking for a couple of good daggers one nice sturdy one for animal cleaning and such, as well as some smaller specilized ones say for throwing. I would also like to look about for a possable source for some good sling bullets somewhere to get nice spherical metal bullets.
So with that the shopping goes on.

Subject: a Sudden Charge
As Thor watched all of their attacks where in vain the Shelank had some type of invisable shield protecting them from attack, but one that they could punch through to attack others outside of the shield, which they did badly hurting one dwarf and hurling one off the cliff to his death.
When his cross bow bolt failed to penatrate their defensive shiel Thor thought to retreat to a better spot where they might defend yhemselves better, so he reached over and grab Billy on the shoulder to get his attention to fall back. However this movement on his part seemed to have the totslly opppsite effect because soon as he grab Billy the giant of a man did just what Thor was trying to stop. As he watched in horror Billy with sword raised and waving and an obvious cry on his lips, even though no one could hear it Thor could tell from his moving mouth.
Billy shot forward towards the wedge of Shelanks with his sword raised and leading he went for the leader Thor could only watch and as Billy ran forwards Thor will move in behind him so he can help the big man if it appears he might be able to.

Subject: Food for the Road
Once Xour called out to Brianna that was coming along she waited for him to catch up and together they made their way to a dried goods store. Once greeted by the Mistress of the store Brianna lays out a list of items she would like to purchase for their journey, it is quite an extensive list.
dried meat, dried fruit, root vegetables, wheat flour, sugar, salt, pepper. leavening for bread, or a bread starter. honey and/or perhaps some fruit preserves. Some oats or barley for porridge, too. Also I need some first aid supplies. bandages, salves, lint, antitoxins if you have any of the magical kind."
Xour listens to the exchange between the two women as the propriater asks about our journey and how many so she can calculate the amount of each item we may need. Although the request to know how large our party was and our destination seemed to be an honest one to help in deciding how much stuff they would need Xour is always somewhat suspicious and always hates giving out information of that nature.
He watches as the pile on the counter continues to grow, and when Brianna asks himXuor, "Can you think of anything I did not mention?" He returns with a Um no I can't really think of a thing you might have missed. Though it seems we must look elsewhere for some of the items we seek. Then the lady calls out for someone else who works in the shop to come out and help load what we bought into our cart, which of course we don't have. Xour steps up Actually we don't have a cart out front we will be taking the goods over to where our horses are stabled, looking at the pile on the counter then turning to Brianna Think we can handle this?

Subject: A Wedge of Shelanks
Once it is decide they will not tie up tha dwarfs that are up front are suddenly in a panic, well the reason for that becomes apparent soon enough as a group of Shelank round the bend and seeing the party form up in their wedge formation, which they had been told they do to channel their magic through the front man. (I Think)
From his position Thor is next to Billy and there are 3 dwarfs in front of him. Billy moves from his spot next to Thor that was nearest the cliff to a spot next to the sheer wall that rose straight up less chance of falling off. Since Thor has no way to attack multiple opponents at once he will make his first attack on the front Shelank the one holding the largest triangle weapon using his new cross bow. He waits for no one to make any decisions he just pulls his weapon up aims and lets loose.
Since it is basically impossible to talk to each other Thor will try to get every ones attention with his hands. He would like to get the two women to move back in case of a magical area attack to keep them safe but he would also like for them all to move back for better footing if possible in case they need to get into one on one attacks. So he grabs Billys shoulder and motions back he hopes the 3 front dwarfs will look back and see the party backing up.

Subject: A little shopping trip
Having seen to the rooms for everyone and now they where all gathered around inside the inn each getting either drink or food or both. Xour had finished his first ale when a young elf sort of invited himself to their table with a drink in hand and for Xours liking to many questions.
So when Brianna started towards the door of the inn saying she was going shopping and did anyone want to come along Xour jumped at the chance to both leave the enquiring young elf at the table but more important have a chance to spend some more time talking with and getting to know this
Amazon warrioress he had pledged to help and who it suddenly seemed to him has also enchanted him.So turning to the one asking questions Well my good sir I for one am in need of restocking a few items so I will be bidding a quick see ya. Then turning his attention back toward Brianna who is now walking out the door he yells Why yes Brianna I could use some fresh air and would be pleased to join you on your item hunt.
So with that he bounds over his chair and heads towards the inns door catching up with her once she is outside and her friend Flame has joined her. Once outside he calls to her once more so she knows he is coming to join her. So Brianna what would you like to look for first, I am not sure but this town don't look to be to big so may not have a whole lot. With that he settles in beside her matching her stride.

Subject: Lets just keep moving.
Taking care Thor gets across the makeshift rope bridge and is quite happy when his feet are planted firmly on the other side. Once they are safly across the dwarves hurry them along for they had lost some time bypassing whatever trap had been laided in their way.
The group move quickly but silently each aware of the importance and danger of what they where undertaking. The group stops briefly for a cold lunch and with a warning from Thon that they will be entering the Dark ones terretory they move on. As they do they can hear a thundering roar that builds as they move on.
Then they enter a cavern where they stand upon a wide ledge running along side another deep chasm, to their right the ledge continues towards a 100’ tall waterfall which fills the air with so much noise that conversation is almost impossible without yelling into a person’s ear. The dwarves warn them with gestures to be careful that the ledge here, though 10’ wide, is slippery with moisture.
At this point Billy suggests that they once again tie themselves together Thor quickly looks the area over and as slippery as it seemed to him it looked more likly that if one fell they would pull the rest with them. I don't know Billy it looks so slippery I don't think we could get enough footing to keep anyone from falling. I think our best bet is a carfull move to safer ground as best as we can.

Subject: In the Inn
When Brianna enters the inn she comes over to the inn keeper that Xour is speaking with. Seeing that he is geeting rooms she calls over a serving wench, and orders up a pint of ale. As she grabs herself a seat at the closest table. As soon as he has reached some kind of agreement with the owner for the 5 rooms which Xour will pay for he follows Brianna's actions and also orders himself up a pint of the inns best ale and then joins her at the table. Well I have secured each of us a room, I hope you don't think I was being to presumptuous in securing rooms for all I have just found from eailier travels that a lot of times if one person negotiates with the inn keeper they can sometimes secure better rooms at better prices, and since I did take this upon myself without asking I did this time secure all the rooms myself. Anyways I noticed both a Fletcher shop and a Bowyer as we rode in that is good I personally can never have too many arrows in stock being as I do depend upon my bow a large part of the time. I think we are going to make an awesome party dear lady I have seen you fight with those blades of yours up close and personal and now with the addition of my bow and Then Vatta's magic as well as your other two friends Lorae and Logan. Xour stops for a second Sorry I'm rambling again. After we leave here does anyone know how far it is to our destination?
With that Xours quites and takes a good long pull on his ale and then wipes his mouth with the back of his left sleeve as is his custom.

With Siliwens cry of alarm Thon calls his men back. Now all are looking to Siliwen for an explanation of what it is she is seeing.She replies It is a huge ring of energy just about the middle of the bridge now. So at this point Riddle kind of summerizes our options. " Well the way i see it we have a couple options, one is a fools choice, test it by sending someone into it. Another being try and dispell it. And the last being find another way around. If any one has rope we could shoot it across and sjimmy across that. Those at the moment are the only i see."
Thinking about what Riddle has said Thor eventualy speaks up,
Well I have a feeling none of us are going to be powerful enough to dispell something put here either by the Shelnak or the Dark one himself, so going around seems to be our only real option. I have a gatling hook and I am pretty good with that and a rope and the other side is only about 70 feet across. Although I don't like the idea of each of us hanging unprotected as we cross on a rope. It may be our only option unless someone can come up with another.

Subject: Preparing to Cross.
With his aim true Thor watches as his bolt pierces the target along with an arrow abd the guard tumbles forward and down into the ravine that the bridge crosses. With the guards now out of the way Thon has some of his men check this side for any danger and finding none orders two of his men to cross the bridge and check the other side for danger. so as these two start out across the bridgeThor stands at thr ready for anything. He will put away the crossbow and once again arm himself with his war axe and morning star.

OOC: Sorry for the ooc right off but you know I am not sure how many of us there are 4 or 5.
Bic:First things first, when Xour at first prepares to enter the inn he will instruct daug his wolf companion to wait outside and to stay low and out of view as much as possable and I will return soon as possable, then he enters the inn and approachs the keeper. Xour looks over the inn keeper as he is looking over Xour and when the man speaks So how many are ye ranger. Xour smiles at the mans perception although it is not hard to tell that Xour is a ranger, he then replies,
Ah my good sir we would be in need of 4 of your best rooms.
While he waits for a response he will examine the inn they are in taking in where it appears that all the entrances and exits may be, how the first and second stories are laid out and how accessable the rooms are from the first floor. Always looking for what is the most defensable positions even when they are stoping to relax.

OOC: Is the distant guard 70 feet or 70 yards away, and do any of the Dwarves have bows to help us.
Bic:
Thor as he listens to all the conversation about what they should do tries to judge just how far away the distant guard is, for that is the one who will be hardest to get. He has his cross bow which he proceeds to arm he knows that the farthest guard is at his medium range so the shot will be a little more difficult. He is loaded and ready as soon as the deceision is made.
