How many helpful people does it take to save a drow?

The woman walked out, deciding to test her divine link with those who shared Eilistraee's ideals. Reaching out in her mind, she beckoned to the dragon on her shoulder...

"Darling? ... Flame... can you speak to me about these people? I have picked up that you are familiar with them... but can I put my life in there hands, knowing that it will be safer than with those guards? I've the option to run now, and guarantee freedom to spread the goddess' word... or I may stay, and attempt to spread it to them. What do you think darling?"

In total silence other than that of her thoughts, she proceeds out of the inn. If Flame couldn't hear her, then she would repeat it later, but for now she decided to try her gift. Taking a quick look in either direction, she headed towards the guard's horses. Her belongings would be there she hoped, and at very least she had to recover her sword...

-----------------------------------------------------------

Matching Eilistraee's ideals = chaotic good and outsider

Flame

Flame settle more on the young woman's shoulder.

"I still here," he piped out, but lowly as a voice sounding out in the empty air would not be good.

"You go tippy toe, I watch out behind you."

And behind her was Justin heading for the stable as she had invited him to do.

By the time she get tot he stable the grooms were untacking the horses and promising the two Rideres to bring the gear in as soon as they had finished with the horses.

With the the Riders headed for the inn, straight at where the Drow cleric was positioned.

Magic Time.

People! There just had to be people in the stables... and two of them heading right towards her no less... Looking at the stable's width, the woman guessed she could squeeze in there... just beside the two riders. But just in case...

Whispering so faintly she could hardly hear herself, and carefully moving her hands, fire began to appear to in them. Stopping her motions, a black fire was burning on her hands, heatless. It was Darkfire. To her, it seemed as though he hands were a torch. But she had used the spell in the above world before, and while her people could see it, not all races could, humans being unable to. It required the strong eyes which were able to purge darkness to see it... some might think it was a silly spell, giving people who could see in darkness a torch. But this made everything seem colourful in the dark, not merely black and white. It also happened to be rather potent when it came to... defending oneself. Following Eilistraee's code, she would attempt diplomacy first, but what a nasty surprise it would be if they tried to arrest her again.

I must get that sword back... she thought. Nobody will stop me
Taking a quick glance back to make sure she wasn't being snuck up on, she saw the man who had made her invisible... and she knew she was seen by him. Motioning for him to be quiet, she turned back and quietly slid in to the stable, back against the wall, as thin as she could manage, so that the riders may pass unhindered.

Brianna's Diplomacy runs out.

Brianna moved up to the Sgt. "Look Sgt. Right now with the drow gone, whether she is guilty or innocent, makes no difference. She quite probably fears that your treatment might mean she would not revveive justice at your hands."

Brianna held up a hand to forestall the man's response if any, "What I can promise is i will make a good effort effort to make sure she causese no problems by finding her and discovering her intentions is I can.

"Will you leave this in our very capable hands? After all we have proven to be trustworthy and with good intent and actions."

Brianna did not feel good trying to use diplomacy and intellect. Most of her problems she solved at the end of her sword.

How about you get your men drink and dinner on me while I get this straightened out.?"

She knew that did not come out just right even to her ears but she really just wanted to find that drow and get this all settled. Talking about it was a big waste of her time..

Flame replies

Oh, yes you asked me who you can trust."

"Brianna is fun she kills lots of bad things. I get lots of gold and jewels. Lorae is good, very good, too good. I like Vatta, she is smells nice and is tricky like me, and Xuor is nice man he talks with animals.

"That new man that twiggled his fingers and made you go away from their sight. I can see you though." The diminuative dragonette says with a sudden change of topic and then flip flops back agains with dizzying change of topic.

"I don't know him. He was here then ran out all upset and rode off a short time ago and Lorae went after him. Did I tell you Lorae is nice? Yes, I did. She is you know. Now he is back. Brianna saved me from the Dark One. She destroyed the Orb of All Dragon Control. I "found" it you know , but I was almost caught by the nasty Dark One.

It was difficult to follow the random comments made in no particular order. Certainly the bit and pieces of Flame's tale or tales, most likely, were not in any logical or rational order, but if one was intelligent one could group various parts together and it all made a very incomplete but strange tale that might fascinated or intrigue those who could piece it together.

"You can trust her, and her and her and him all of them I think. Trust me, anyway."

(Sure, trust him. )

In the Inn.

The Sgt looked to Brianna and nodded. "I'll take you word, warrior," Thought he did not say warrioress Brianna knew he was honoring her with his trust.

As the others came in there was a brief discussion between the Riders as to the missing Drow.

"I hope you know what you are doing, Sarge," one of the said at the end of it.

"Now, then," said the sgt, ending any further discussion over the missing Drow, "we are being treated to dinner and drinks by the heros of Eventide, so mind you manners."

At the Stable

Lorae moved forward seeing Justin and the invbisible Drow and Flame. To anyone who watched her she seemed to glide over the ground whether it was flat or rough. She was dressed in her silvery gray riding leathers with the delailed applicaies of ivy leaves. Around her neck was a medallion showing an eight pointed gold star with four great points in gold and 4 lesser points in silver. Around the star circled a sinous dragon of some very white metal with scales cut into it so that they refracted light in many other colors, like tiny rainbows

Beyond seeing that which was invisible, she first saw the auras of the young woman and Flame. While Flame was bright with reds, oranges and yellows, the Priestess was more of blue-green, indigo and violets. Justin too was much like the Priestess though green and yellow and for all thare were the other bright colors denoting health and other aspect of the nature and of course each had white about them. There was not a drop of muddinesss in any of their colors.

"Do not fear, Priestess, the Riders are not giving chase at this time."

"I offer you my protection until such time as the Riders are informed of your nature and intentions.

Lorae's protection eh?

Staring at the woman with an expression of shock on her face, the drow lowered her hands from their readied position to defend herself. Walking back out towards Lorae, she walks directly up to her, and stares into her eyes. Those eyes...

"You have my trust miss. May you dance with Eilistraee until that trust is broken." Letting go of the Darkfire in her hands, dissipating into nothing.

"Now, to show myself, as you have said they do not chase me..." The woman's eyes glow, as she begins to cast dispel magic on the invisibility which surrounded her.

Lorae-Something About Those Eyes

Her eyes, They were large and strangely multi-colored. Pale yellow surrounded the pupils, blending into a paleish green before turning into a silvery gray, then a deepedy blue-gray ring surrounded the irises. Beyond their color was the look in them. It was said the eyes were the windows of the soul. Her eyes did that and more. so much more that it was easy to fall into them, most did not, for there was something just within the pupils that warned those who tried to look in, not to.

"By the Light, I so swear." Lorae replies formally.

"Now, gather you things and let us return to the inn. We have vouched safe for you with the Riders," That was an odd statement, considering they knew nothing about the Drow. "There will be only the locals animosity to deal with."

"Flame, you had best warn Brianna we are returning shortly."

"By the way the way, I am Lorae, this is Justin, a new member," she point to the obvious druid, "and the scamp on you shoulder is Flame, and please do not feed his ego."

Lorae moves up to help her if she needs any assistance in regaining her possessions.

Gracious thanks... followed by a name!

"And so I hold you to your oath." A pleasant smile appears at the same time the woman does, as the invisibility is removed.

"Lorae and Justin? I am pleased that Eilistraee has guided me to such fine individuals in a time of strife and confusion. My name is Alexandria do Iivatess. I am a priestess of Eilistraee.

Laughing softly, Alexandria pats Flame on the head. "Yes, I have met Flame. He is quite a nice fellow."

Moving into the stable, the first thing that Alexandria scrambles around for is her sword. Finding it, and strapping it to her waist, she takes a deep breath, and calms down, relaxing. Then she calmly proceeds to search and don the rest of her belongings, including her finely polished mythril breastplate. She let her white hair run down outside of the armour, making her a rather gorgeous sight indeed.

"Now, Lorae, you said something about meeting the others inside the inn? I will follow you if you will lead."

Flame

"I go, I go," said and he disappears in a poof, truly it is a poof and slight slapping of air moved quickly to fill the void left by his sudden disappearance.

Arriving a moment later on Brianna's shoulder though still invisible to the eye of others including Brianna. Only she felt his weight first and then his metal presence in her mind.

"I rescued her, Lorae has her. She is good. They come, Who is Justin? When is dinner?"

Brianna knew he was telling her the truth but not which ones belonged together. It really did not good to ask Flame to clarify what he had said, she had asked him too on other occasions and his answers often made things less clear.

Brianna

Brianna turns and walks over to the Sgt. who had sat down with his men at a nearby table. The servant girl already taking their orders for drinks.

"Sgt. you will be pleased to know that our cleric, Lorae, has the Drow with her, and has said the drow is good. They come now so we can get this all straightened out. I am glad to have been able to get this taken care of for you."

Brianna is glad she hates this sort of thing she certainly not a real negotiator, or diplomat--never wanted to be either. She will bargain with merchants, shop keepers, horse traders and the like but dealing with bureaucracy is just not her forte.

Vatta

Vatta listened to what was happening behind her as sat at the bar drinking her wine. She smiled to herself at how the Riders were finally swayed and willing to accept a free meal and drink.

She said nothing as Brianna dealt with the situation and when Brianna said that Lorae had the drow and they were coming back to the Inn, she turned in her seat at the bar, rested her back against the bar holding her wine in her hand and watched the proceedings with a curious eye.

She was wanting to see how this all ended; it was an interesting evening to be sure.

Lorae

She moved easily to the door and turned just before entering. "Just smile," she commented and with the stepped into the inn and crossed the floor as if no one in particulary were following and she took her own advise.

"Ah, Sgt, she approaches the man, I would like you to meet Alexandria, Priestess of Eilistraee. Alexandria, the Sgt. is a Rider from Asbenford. The Riders are protectors of the road from Tilverton to the sea in the east."

"Now Justin and Alexandria, let me introduce you to our group." She points to each one and names them. "Vatta, very handy with a bow and a good protector. Xuor, our ranger and a excellent archer. Brianna, a Amazon fighter and a astounding rider and horse handler. Flame you already know, and Logan, another fighter, but I am not sure where his is right now. Myself, I am Lorae, Paladin of The Light, and sometimes bard."

"Now has anyone ordered dinner?"

She spoke so openly, that other patron who were gawking at Drow, finally closed their mouths and went back to their drinks, though many eyes still were focused on the Drow.

"Brianna, Xuor, How about pulling some tables together. She grabs up some chairs and bench to clear the way for them move the tables.

"Innkeeper, What is your bill of fare this evening." she calls out arranging the chairs and beckoning Alexandria and Justin to sit.

The priestess of Eilistraee.

As he followed Lorea he saw as they headed towards the stables then before he could catch uphe watched as the drow suddenly reappeared and stode directly in front of Lorea. They spoke and it seemed that they where all going to return to the inn together and straighten out any misunderstanding.

So Xour decides tojust turn around and head back to the inn himself and he enters just before Lorea does with the Drow right behind her.

Lorea at once launchs into an introduction. She proceeds to introduce the drow Alexandria, Priestess of Eilistraee to both the riders and to us.Then she suggests that we move some tables together and at hearing his name Xour does at once help and they move some tables and they can now all sit down and eat and drink together.

If those riders try to arrest me again, I swear...

Alexandria strode into the inn, following Lorae, with a smile painted on her face. Her glistening armour and sword complimented her appearance. The black armour moved with almost no sound, seeming to simply flow along in perfect harmony with her natural movements. Her sword, white like the moon, stood out perfectly, just like the hair flowing down to her waist. Her shield, strapped on her back, bore the image of a moon.

Following Lorae as she approaches the Sergeant, Alexandria continues smiling, though her thoughts turn to pity. A man who is so quick to judge those around him... how empty his life must be of joy. Eilistraee always taught that those who judged would be judged, and those who lived without judging others would dance with the Mistress of the Moon for all of afterlife. Giving a warm smile, no longer as fake, Alexandria says, "Sergeant, I apologize for any wrongs I have committed without being aware of my actions. I am humbled and ask forgiveness." A small bow follows her speech.

After speaking with the Sergeant, she moves towards the table where everyone is gathering. Taking a seat next to Lorae, Alexandria looks around for Flame. Didn't she tell him to go here? she thought. Oh well. She had enjoyed talking to him, and hoped the little guy would show up sometime or other.
