Topic: 2011 NFL Season Subject: Yeah
Good one Grugg!
There maybe 'No Mo RoMo' but we still have Tebow. Hmmm, that rhymes.
But I am sure that the Steelers will take care of that next week.

Topic: 2011 NFL Season Subject: Yep
A tie, Figured that might be the case when it came down to the Night game; I had a feeling the Cowboys would choke.
Ok you win the regular season, but everyone knows it is the playoffs and Super Bowl that really matter.
Good luck!

Topic: 2011 NFL Season Subject: My picks
EARLY GAMES
Detroit over Green Bay (No Rodgers, No Matthews, No Woodson. Lions have a chance)
San Francisco over St Louis
New England over Buffalo
Chicago over Minnesota
New Orleans over Carolina
Philadelphia over Washington
Houston over Tennessee
New York over Miami
Jacksonville over Indy
LATE GAMES
Atlanta over Tampa Bay
Cincinnati over Baltimore (Bengals at home, Ravens bad on the road and against Cinci)
Pittsburgh over Cleveland
Denver over K.C
San Diego over Oakland
Seattle over Arizona
7:30 GAME
Giants over Dallas (I believe the boys will lose, Romo’s hand is still messed up)
Now even if I win this week I will still be down a week but it will make me feel better about myself.
Edited: Just noticed while I was typing up my post that you changed your GB over Detroit; wise move maybe. Ok we only have two different now. Good luck!

Topic: Happy New Year 2012! Subject: Happy New Year 2012!
"What can be said in New Year rhymes,
That's not been said a thousand times?
The new years come, the old years go,
We know we dream, we dream we know.
We rise up laughing with the light,
We lie down weeping with the night.
We hug the world until it stings,
We curse it then and sigh for wings.
We live, we love, we woo, we wed,
We wreathe our prides, we sheet our dead.
We laugh, we weep, we hope, we fear,
And that's the burden of a year."

Topic: Destiny Flight - QnA Subject: Clarification
Well if you want to clarify the Captain's intent, post another post and clarify. If you edit your post after others have posted, such as myself, then you force everyone after you to possibly edit their own posts.
Just post again with a clarification, maybe realizing something that someone said that made Jon realize that he needed to clarify his orders.

Topic: Destiny Flight - QnA Subject: Capt Decision
Hey just cause my character mentions checking it out doesnt mean we should do it. I prefer meetings on our own footing. To meet someone on their timing and setting is usually not a good idea.
Ken just likes to look at the possibilities. He would wish we maybe find out how to contact them later and then do so and see if they are serious about meeting, at a time and place of our choosing; Less chance of an ambush that way.
But in the end it is your decision Captain; Ken might complain but he will go with the flow.

Topic: Tales from the Smuggler's Moon Subject: Restless slumber
The Smuggler’s Moon
Freeport
19th of Chad - Early Evening
Asim rolled over in his hammock below decks and raised his head and listened; had he heard someone call out to the deckside watch? He heard voices above but they were too faint to make out the words or even who might have been saying them. There was no sound of trouble; probably just some of the crew coming back from liberty.
He groaned as he moved and hoped that they had a much better time than he had; he was sure that they had. The last he had seen a lot of the crew they had been at the bar enjoying fine song and drink. He wished that he had stayed there and he wouldn’t have wound up in the mess he had found out on the streets of Freeport.
Thou, when he thought about it, aside from the near death and pain, it hadn’t been all bad. He had met the young woman at the House of Mercy; what was her name? Haspia, yes that was it. She had been nice and pleasant to look upon; she seemed interested in him and that was a rare thing. Asim had a warm feeling spread through him at the thought of Haspia’s smile; the warmth helped to relax him and he closed his eyes and drifted back off to the sleep that his healing body needed.
(OOC: A little something since I havent posted in awhile. Felt I needed to show I am still interested in this here adventure. )

Topic: Destiny's Flight - A Serenity RPG Subject: The Tong Dilemma
“Shiong mao niao” Ken said shaking his head after the channel with the Tong was closed, “Jon you really should let Jason handle the delicate situations.”
“I think you should have at least told them you would consider meeting with them later since you can’t stop right now because of the tight schedule,” he said, “but if you were going to blow them off at least do it with some tact; you sounded like me.”
“Yeah it’s probably a trap, but of course the Tong tell you they are they Tong,” he chuckled, “how else do you get a rep if people don’t know who you are? And who would say they are the Tong if they aren‘t? I think the real Tong would take offense.”
Turning to leave the bridge, “Well at least don’t go full burn when you run,” he stepped out and his last words could be heard from down the passage, “they cant do anything to stop us so no rush.”

Topic: Weird War II Subject: Reunion
“Hell no Dodgers Rule Max!” Came back the yelled reply in a familiar voice. After lowering the guns and pondering the voice he chuckled slightly.
“That you. Troy?” He called back as he slumped back against the wall where he sat in the corner opposite the doorway where the team waited, “You old son of a … “ he laughed aloud and then winced at the pain. Throwing himself to the side to avoid the return fire hadn’t done his injuries any good.
“Ah, they are all dead, you can come in now,” he called out looking at the dead Germans, “you don’t happen to have a Medic over there with you do you? I’ve had a rough day.”
He had lowered his guns, and sat there in the corner waiting to see who of the team had survived.

Topic: Destiny Flight - QnA Subject: Agreed
I hear you MMV; I don’t trust them either. I just thought we should discuss it in game. If it is decided we don’t do it then yes the ‘tight schedule’ excuse would be a good one. Maybe tell them that we might consider their offer when we have more time.
Whether or not we do this job for the Tong I am sure the GM will find other ‘jobs’ which will trap us into something.

Topic: Destiny Flight - QnA Subject: The Tong
I think that we should meet with the Tong and discuss things. The Tong are usually considered honorable and I think if we check out the situation and if we dont like it we can bug out. It might be something in the offering for later.
If you post the Captain's thoughts in game then I will raise my thoughts in game as well. It might be a legitmate offer and we always need another job after this one. Besides it is a chance to keep the Tong off out necks.
I think we should consider it.

Topic: Weird War II Subject: Friend or Foe?
Max’s heart raced at what had just happened; seeing an opportunity he had acted without much thought and with luck on his side it had worked. Their stance had made it clear they were preparing to shoot at someone down that side hallway; it was obvious that whomever it was down that passage was not friends to the Krauts. He was hoping they were friends to him at least.
Sitting back against the wall in the corner where he his roll had taken him out of line of sight of that open doorway from which the fire had come. He stuck one Luger under his arm pit and kept the other one trained on the doorway, he quickly slipped out the mag and drew another full one from his back pocket and slipped it in the well and slammed it home. Taking the gun in hand, he repeated the process with the other one. All this took less than 10 seconds; now he had two fully loaded Lugers still aimed at the side passage.
While he was finishing that up he took a breath and called out in English, “Go Yankees!” The agreed upon code phrase when encountering another of his troop; he waited for the answer phrase.
(More will come later after a response.)
