WoW is best MMO? That's funny to me. I played WoW for over a year, so I know it well enough to know it's far from "best mmo".

Is a Massively Multiplayer Online Game. Everquest, World of Warcraft. That type of thing. You make a charactor and run around in this huuuuge online world where you meet other real players and join up for quests, or form guilds and whatnot. In Conan you can wage war on other guilds and kill people you meet in the wilderness, lol.

Let me just tell you all, I've never played an MMO that felt so...refreshing, and exciting! This game is TOO GOOD to be an mmo...because....there goes my love life....and my grades....and my musical projects.....I THROW THEM ALL AWAY FOR CONAN!

Anyways, who else is playing? I play on Cimmerian (rppvp) as Thyrfing! Mighty Barbarian from the Northlands!

Subject: Silent Hosts of Decay

How they broke free from death’s cold embrace after so long, none could say (yet). The fact was, however, that they had. The cemetery that sprawled beyond the monastery looked more like a ruined battlefield then any sort of peaceful resting place. Trenches and pits pocked the well trimmed field, and headstones had fallen over. The denizens of Monastery found themselves unrepentantly under attack, and their cries to their Lord and Savior were not heard. Or perhaps they were, and were ignored. In the end, the Soulless. The lifeless. The eternally hungry would feed; and those holy grounds were subjected to a desecration of the most infernal designs.

Now an army of death washed through the hills, and along the roads. It had happened so suddenly that when the truth hit officials, it was too late. An instinctive attempt to barricade the roads outside the town only ended with the screams of dying, would-be saviors, and the staggering of rotting feet over the fallen fences.

So it was that the Silent Hosts of Decay suddenly flooded into the streets of Herkimer, and were silent no longer. Founded in 1791, the dirge of the villages demise would be the screamed laments of the dying, and the lifted, dead voices of the Victorious Damned. The Thronehold of Contagion for the battle to come. But of course, for now…for those still within the village…the battle was not over yet…Infact it was only just beginning.

Subject: Temper rising.

"Since you said none of this business, perhaps you should give up some of your reward."

Draven hesitated once more, as he had been about to leave. He could feel his own temper beginning to burn at this audacity that was being brought before him. His eyes began to burn as the anger built up inside him, and as they fixed once more on the Runemaster, they glowed an unholy light. It wasn't something he could help, and often lead to more trouble then it was worth, nontheless. His voice was cold and firm.

"Do well to pay attention to the tasks you're hired for, dwarf. I wasn't hired to bury the dead, and neither were you. If you want the few silver that a gravedigger would be payed, then you can find out who took the two gold I placed on our dead Innkeeps eyes, and fight over it with them. Two gold for a mass grave. More then the average Gravedigger makes I promise you. I'll keep the reward for going off to find and cure the tree."

******* ******** ********

Malius was gone, and had left them a letter, along with his share of the reward. Glancing over the letter, Draven's first reaction was to draw his blade and roll Geim's head across the floor. But no. That would accomplish nothing...well little at least. If Malius had left simply because of the Runemaster's words, then he was weaker of spirit then Draven had originally thought. There was more to it. There must be. It didn't matter at this point, however.

The more they lingered in this foul town, the moodier Draven became. He had had his limit of Syl's, living and dead. He had had his limit of annoying distractions; reward or not. He needed to go into the Chakran Mountains for more important reasons then money. The more they stopped, the longer it would them to accomplish their mission. It was time's like these, that he was reminded of why he worked alone.

((Yes, hes just in a worse mood then usual. Most of the group would know him decently enough to know hes not normally this nasty. I say this because there are reasons for it.))

Memory churned beneath a murky, oily sea of darkness. He was Josh Rood…He knew that much. And he was what? Twenty three? Yes. But that was it...Vague colors, and emotions flickered beneith the dark surface that churned in his mind, but he could not grasp them.

“Ugh….”

Rubbing his eyes and looking around, he frowns. He notices the severed arm and feels a cold ball in his stomach. A dream? This felt too real to be a dream. Pushing himself off the desk, he stretches and runs a hand across his face. Try as he might, he could not remember how he got here, or where “here” even was.

“Where the F*** am I?!”

His pale eyes lock on the spray painted Employee Only door.

YOU DIED LAST NIGHT.

He raised an eyebrow. That was a possibility. But then, glancing around, he noted that his post mortem destination was not the most pleasant. Trying to wrap his mind around what death meant, he felt a faint resentment towards...what? Beliefs? No...Something about how many people perceived life and death churned an anger in him.....Or was he just feeling dead emotions? He couldn't be sure.

Glancing over the room, and noting the Employee Only Door, he started for it. It appeared he was in a flower shop of some sort, although it looked long abandoned. Something about the spraypainted words drew his attention however. Strolling up to the door, he tried the handle....

Subject: He Speaks!

What he had done in his own privacy, in a city filled with the dead, and away from the others…that was for him to know. He had spent many hours away from the others, however, and when he returned to them that night, his armor and hair were both black and glossy and clean. If they were foolish enough to think he had simply gone off to groom himself though, that was their own prerogative. He needn’t answer them.

The next morning, the sound of hooves drew his attention to the town center. Arriving, he was both surprised and impressed at the site of the mass grave that had been built. Somehow in one night, three khords and a Syl had buried the entire village. Studying the mound silently, Draven tried to comprehend why they had done so. After all, officials from Sylvaria, as well as workers from other villages should be here shortly. These were, after all, their people. Not to mention one would think family in nearby towns would want to make final farewells. Nonetheless, the village had been buried, and now he could see that a congregation had arrived; lead by Quilanday.

During the prayers and ceremony, he had stood off to the side, silently observing; and later that day he was present for Lady Quilanday’s farewell. As she handed him his share of the reward and thanked him, he only nodded silently.

To Draven, what this entire day meant, was that they were finally going to be back on their journey. He would have walked back through the door then, had the gruff voice of the Khord, Geim, caught his attention.

He paused with his back to Geim, as he had been headed to the door, and remained with his back to Geim during his entire rant. He expected no less of Draven, who only helped when it suited him? He had a mind to continue the quest without them? This humored the dark warrior, who until now, hadn’t even considered that it was their responsibility to bury the dead. He needn’t justify his position to the Khord however. He didn’t care to. Alyssia had already informed him of her own duties. She was not lying either. Draven knew that as fact.

Turning now to face Geim, Draven held up one finger as if to interrupt Alyssia’s self defense.

“Pardon. Please the two of you. I have only one question. Since when were we hired by Sylvaria? Since when do we dig the graves of other nations? If you choose to do their work for them, then I commend you for caring so damn much. But I assure you. I assure you very much that I’ve looked over the contract that I signed for a Mister Guland Granitefingers…Perhaps you recall him? Maybe not…well let me remind you. He’s the Khord that we do work for. Now I just can’t seem to find the part that says it’s my duty to help the kingdom of Sylvaria. Infact, I recall being told to travel with haste through this kingdom. I apologize, but as a hired sword, I just can’t seem to find that part in my job description.”

He paused and glanced over the party, then locked his unnatural eyes with Geims.

“You, sir, should perhaps read your contract once more, before setting out to help other’s and expecting that we should all do the same.”

Turning back to the door, and pushing it open, he glances back at the party again.

“Now that this whole business is settled, I for one would like to see to my obligations and do the job I was hired to do. I for one, don’t break a contract.”

Giving a half bow, he adds what must have been a mock “Pleasant evening to you all”, before heading out into the abandoned village.

Well, I have three things to say.

First, Herkimer's walmart doesn't have metal detectors. That's fine though, because your charactor wouldn't know that until he actually entered.

Second, Funny story..Our Walmarts are nolonger allowed to sell fire arms or even toy guns unless they don't look real. (so no cap guns). We do however, sell pellet guns and ammunition for all sorts of rifles and pistols. As well as a wide selection of knives.

Thirdly...What the hell? Lol! Why are you hiding in walmart?

Everyone is updated for. Vorrioch, I'll wait till wednesday to give you a chance to post. If you can't, just lemme know what sort of actions your going to perform and ill update.

Sorry for the lack of action Addy...I didn't have much to do for you since...your going to walmart. Cursed, cursed walmart. I would have updated more, but I don't know what you want from walmart lol....

As for Ayrn and Glory, I left off with you in the parkinglot because I was unsure what sort of reaction you will have to the news, and newfound contact with Melina's sister. So I guess we RP it out .

And just so you know, when I say this game is one of weekly updates, I mean at least once per week. So in cases such as this, where rping might be necessary, or small but possibly important decisions are needed, I can update about as often as needed. So basically if Ayrn and Glory update soon, then I post as soon as i get the chance, I wont wait for a week before posting.

I will however, try to keep everyone within the same time frame. This is all just FYI. . Just so that you aren't disappointed with my small update, thinking that you have to go another week before anything else happens.

Walmart Supercenter,
103 N Caroline Street, Herkimer,
Upstate New York

September 14th, Sunday, 10:06 pm

Tiaan’s bright red, rental was the first car to peel out from in front of Glory Days. With screaming rubber, and bald head gleaming in the flashing light of the Police Cruisers, he was tearing down North Mainstreet, and onto State, westward to Walmart.

It was dark by now, and the streetlights and shop lights that spilled onto the road were complimented by headlights of the fairly heavy traffic that was currently passing through this main road through Herkimer. He found himself caught behind a speed limit abiding, green Jeep Wrangler, which he happened to follow all the way to walmart and parked not 3 spaces away from.

In the meantime However, he too was subjected to the public announcement that crackled over the radio.

“This is HCOB announcement for the Herkimer, Mohawk Valley. The Herkimer, Mohawk Valley has been placed under Severe Environmental Hazard Watch for the evening of September the fourteenth. All business are instructed to be closed by 10:30 PM, and an 11:00 curfew is being implemented on the residents of the Herkimer, Mohawk, Ilion, and Frankfort villages. Residents are asked to avoid contact with any and all unfamiliar animals, and to keep pets inside. Residents are also asked to avoid contact with strangers. If you have been bitten by an animal, or attacked by a person in the past 24 hours, seek medical attention immediately at the Faxton, Healthcare Facility on 201, East State Street. All emergency services will be fully functioning throughout the night.”

When the announcement had finished, he found himself getting out of his vehicle beside two, fairly attractive women who appeared to have come together form opposite sides of the social spectrum. One being a dark, gothy looking girl in her early twenties perhaps, while the other, talking on the phone, could be a mother. A house-wife probably. She looked too tame. At least in public.

Walmart Supercenter,

September 14th, Sunday, 10:06 pm

Without hesitation, Jetta slide into the passenger seat and buckled herself in. Melina had to admit, the girl wore her skates about as well as sneakers. Not that she would be allowed to wear them in Wal-mart….

Turning the jeep around, Melina slowed the vehicle down as they passed the two Police Cruisers parked outside of the Glory Days grill and bar. A crowd was spilling onto the sidewalk through the open doors. Looked like they were clearing the place out…A fight maybe?

The radio suddenly cut into their thoughts with an alarming, piercing tone that interrupted whatever serene song that had been playing and caught both of their attention like a net. As they listened, the crackling, disembodied voice sent numbing chills over their skin. Whatever was happening, it had become serious…

“This is HCOB announcement for the Herkimer, Mohawk Valley. The Herkimer, Mohawk Valley has been placed under Severe Environmental Hazard Watch for the evening of September the fourteenth. All emergency services will be fully functioning throughout the night.”

They had driven down North Mainstreet and had taken a right onto State Street towards Walmart. They had passed the numerous small diners on their right, and the Burger King, the Fast Trac (Gas station), and the fenced off, soon to be a Walgreens on their right. They passed Rahmans Liquor on their right, and Mcdonald’s, and the giant, red white and blue beacon that was the Walmart Supercenter had risen before them. The announcement ended as they turned into the vast parking lot. A little bit busier looking then normal, but otherwise not bad.

They even found a parking space four cars down from the Grocery side entrance. It was then that Melina’s phone went off. It was Angie.
“Melinaaa!”

She sounded drunkenly oblivious to the crumbling of the world around her.

“Sorry I missed your call…The music’s pretty loud and I guess a kid is pretty sick. I think it’s time for me to get myself on out o’ here! So hurry up with the coffees! Melina?”
