Subject: This is great!

Wow! I think this is so cool. You have a great project in the works here. This just furthers my repetitive exclamation of the Inn being like family. I can't wait to see the finished product.

would love to have you Ali. Hopefully I can get the person interested in the mechanic position to get back with me and then I can start the game. If not then I guess I could open it to someone else to take the position.

Ok so I have a few confirmed slots.

The pilot, medic, captain, and witch are taken.

I have a prospect for the mechanic but have not heard anything back yet.

The weapons specialist is still wide open. I am hoping to have all positions filled and character info soon.

So if anyone is interested please let me know. If you are worried about just being one spot left. Don't I'll find a place for you to fit in. Thanks!!

"Yeah that could have gone smoother. At least it worked and we didn't get injured."

Quintin picked himself up off the ground with a hand from Lance. Moving through the doorway they both started searching the area. "I know it's a mess in here, but can you tell what part of the ship we are in?"

Moving along the wreckage, Quintin looked for other survivors and any thing useful. Then a thought struck him...right before the door opened I heard ..maybe..

"I think there may be a survivor in here somewhere. I swear I heard a faint voice right before the door popped open. Did you hear anything?"

Quintin searched more diligently. He made sure not to move anything too quickly or too far. If there were any survivors he didn't want to injure them further. He also hoped he would be able to get to his room and get some of his equipment if any of it survived.

Quintin's thoughts were racing as he followed Lance out of the door and into the biting cold.

how could that guy think a security member couldn't take care of himself, and ...well I guess you would have to know Shadow to realize what he is capable of. but wow Lyonna complemented me... sort of ... i never got the impression she liked me much.

As they were making their way along the side of the wrecked ship Quintin strikes up some conversation. "You know it's been so long since I called you by your real name I almost forgot what it was. I'd still prefer to call you Shadow."

"Can you believe that medic though? Not thinking we could defend ourselves. If only he knew more about us. I suppose he will get that chance soon though."

As he was talking they came across a door and Lance tried to enter the access codes to open it.
"Hey, Quintin. The access code isn't working. You don't happen to have any manner of gear that could help us pry open the door do you?"

"I wish I had some gear. I didn't get to grab any of my stuff before the crash. I'd love to make it back to my room to get my gear if we can. I'm also hoping we may find some other crew members that Lyonna may have missed."

Quintin's brain was working quickly through possible ways to open the door. "I think I saw a broken steel beam in the snow a little ways back. Maybe with a rock and some leverage we can pry the door open. Other than that all we got is the gun Lyonna tossed us, though I don't think it'll do much good opening the door."

"Why, yes of course I can fight. I'm on the security force and I'm also an EMT so I could help you with medical issues."

Quintin took Sev's hand and stood up.

"Thanks..." Quintin realized he didn't know this medic's name. He usually paid more attention to the female medics. "Didn't quite catch your name. Mine's Quintin, Ronin if you know me really well."

"Also, not to be rude but that lady over there is my boss and I only take orders from her. However I will try to help find some supplies"

Quintin walks over to where the design engineer is standing. "Shadow, I'd love a little company. Can you figure out where in the ship we are? I'd assume Lyonna didn't drag us very far. Which means we should be near my room and I need my gear, especially my sword."

Subject: Damn this hurts

Quintin was enjoying his meal in the mess. Everything was great. He was enjoying the company of a few ladies and having a good time. Unfortunately, he had rounds in the morning. He excused himself and went to his quarters.

The ship jerked and threw him out of his bunk, and then he heard the sirens. He threw on his uniform and opened the door to the hallway. It was hell out there. He would have to make his way to one of the security rooms.

Crawling around some fallen conduit got him about ten feet from one of the security rooms. Just then the sound of screeching metal drowned out everything else. He went to move toward the security room and everything went dark...

Quintin could vaguely hear the voices around him. Everything seemed clouded, and damn was he in pain.

"Wow...

are we?"

that sounds like the design engineer

"Evelyn's dead... survive... warmed up... Survival... Kiddo."

that had to be Lyonna. wait the captain's dead

Quintin opened his eyes and slowly adjusted to the light. He looked around at the scene. There seemed to be a few bodies lying around. Most looking unconcious. Although he did see three others moving. One was his boss Lyonna, she was rifling through the cabinets. The other was the design engineer, who was rambling on with techno babble. Quitin knew him as Shadow.

glad to see genius boy made it

As he tried to sit up but he realized he was pretty sore. The pain was starting to fade a bit but damn it still hurt. He did a cursory check of himself and realized most of his injuries were just cuts and bruises. Thankfully nothing serious. Sitting up to his knees he noticed one of the actual medics searching his pockets frantically.

"Hey boss, situation looks pretty bad. How can I help?"

"I'm all for it. Especially since I see no other way in. I should be able to pick the lock of the other door. I will need a bit of cover from the street though so as not to be seen."

Daleel reaches into his belt pouch and pulls out his lockpicking tools.

"I'm ready when everyone else is."

"It seems we are inexplicably tied into this. I cannot leave you to this alone. These events may even give us more insight to our original mission."

Airion is a bit upset at himself for telling the merchant his observations. He still feels it was the right thing to do though. He is also very curious as to what that letter said to calm the merchant down so quickly.

"I move that we try to find an affordable inn that will accept our kind. Although, I don't feel we are very welcome here and may have an issue with that." Airion remebered looking through his pack back in the cave store room. "Also, I don't know about Ele, but all my currency was taken by the mage's men."

"Once we find a place to stay, I suggest we get a meal and bed down for the night. I'd rather not put myself into any compromising situations."

So I thought that for a moment we would be able to start the game soon. I have sent out a few PM's to potential players but have only gotten certified response from one of them. I have a new player interested in the medic position. So in total I have two of the five players that I need. I'm waiting to hear back from the others hopefully they are still interested. Until then if anyone else is interested please let me know.

Sun I'll send you a PM here in just a few moments to answer some of your questions.

Subject: Daleel's recon

Daleel got out of the coach near a food vendor. He lingered there for a moment thinking of how hungry he was. He bought a few pieces of sweet meat and them slipped down an alleyway. He quickly made his way to the warehouse in question, all the while sticking to the alleyways. When he arrived at the warehouse, he worked his way around the perimeter. Looking for entrances and guards. Once he felt comfortable enough he approached closer and looked for hidden entrances or trap doors. He would have tried to see into the warehouse but the windows were too high up and he didn't want to risk being discovered. As he was working around the building he could hear what sounded like an argument behind the walls. Disappointed with his findings, but knowing he had to get back he left the area for the rendevous with the coach.

It didn't take Daleel long to get back to the meeting with the coach and the rest of the team. After resting for a moment he relaye dthe information he had found to the others. "Well, we may have to modify our plan a bit. There wasn't a one guard around the whole warehouse. The main area is about 70 foot square and two stories high on the main part. Large sliding barn door on the west side opening to the main street. There is a smaller area branching of the south east corner, probably an office, about 20 foot by 30 foot only one story. Two smaller man doors, one on the main warehouse, one on the office area. Both are on the south side and have sliding view ports. All doors are easily seen from the main street. Windows are on the second level of the main building area. They were to high up to get to with out risk of detection. I wasn't able to get an interior layout or an eye on the cargo." Daleel takes a moment to re organize his thoughts before continuing on. "As far as the lack of guards I was a bit concerned. I made sure to take a look at the surrounding areas to see if it seemed as if anyone was watching the warehouse. I didn't really notice anything. There are no trap or secret doors that I could find. There is an alley way along the north and east walls. When I was close to the building I could here at least two people. They were arguing about something but I couldn't tell what. Although, there was an echo. That makes me think the main warehouse is open with possibly only a ledge area around the second story." Reaching into his belt pouch, he pulls out a small piece of chalk as he continues on. "I did find a symbol on the building. I don't recognize it but I was hoping one of you may."

Daleel takes his chalk and draws a symbol on the nearest available surface that everyone can see. The symbol starts with a sort of half circle with tht ebottom just a little flattened out and not completely rounded. Inside he draws a whip and a scythe crossed over each other.

"Damn, I just realized I could have pulled the ole orphan collecting money bit and possibly gotten a look into the place. I'm sorry guys I felt a little frazzled. Well, unfortunately that's all I could figure out."

Daleel was a bit down about forgetting such a simple tactic. He pulled out a piece of the sweet meat he bought earlier, took a bite and sat back. He waited to see what the next course of action would be.

Airion had been quiet up until now. As Ele was speaking he thought back to his time in the cave. It wasn't something he cared to dwell upon. As Ele finished speaking he knelt down and pulled off his pack. Opening it slowly so as not to arouse any suspicion. He removed the letter from his pack and placed it on the roll top desk. "Sir, I would hand it to you directly, but I agree with my companion. I think the wards placed on it should be checked first."

He hoped that the merchant would heed his advice. Airion thought there was more that needed to be said about the situation. "Sir, there is also the bit about this mage considering your daughter his property. He insisted his people were not the ones who took her and he received her through a business transaction. I can't say I completely believe this. He claims to have aquired my companion and I in the same way. Yet, I was tortured while I was their prisoner." Thinking back to what he had seen of the conversation with the mage. "The two here previously in your employ tried everything to retrieve your daughter short of getting themselves killed."

Thinking back to the moments before they were sent on their way, Airion recalled the look on Jocelyn's face. Perhaps it wasn't right but he felt it needed to be said. "There is also a strange issue with your daughter as well. My intention in telling you this is not to upset you , but to soimply inform you of my observations. I noticed something in her look as we were leaving the mage's audience chamber. She, well, it's odd to say. I caught a hint from her look and her body language. There is a part of her that likes and wants to be where she is."

Having delivered the letter and spoken his piece on the situation at hand, Airion gave the merchant a slight bow and stepped back to stand near Ele.

Airion realized their business in the guild hall was complete. He was a bit unnerved by the guards and kept his eyes on them as he followed the others out of the merchant guild. Not knowing his way around the city he kept close to the two more familiar with it. He was still on the look out for danger and escape routes. This city seemed very unfriendly to him and his dark skinned companion.

He was hoping they could get to the merchant's home and conclude their business quickly. He wasn't exactly sure he wanted to remain here for much longer.

Daleel left the meeting room and immediately started looking for some of his normal contacts. He walked here and there. He had a few drinks with this person and that. He jumped into conversations that he could interject his query. He took the entire hour and a few extra minutes searching for answers.

He returned to the guild hall common room a bit tired and very hungry. He spotted the rest of the new crew he was working with and made his way over. He caught the end of what the dwarves found out and Echo's lack of info as well. This was not looking good.

Daleel sat on one of the chairs with the group and as soon as he was sure no one else was going to speak he shared his information. "I am ashamed to admit defeat. It turns out I don't have much information either. There were a few people who recognized the symbol. Those that did couldn't or wouldn't divulge who it belongs to."

Feeling even more defeated now that all the members of the group were unsuccessful he posed the only logical question. "So, um where do we go from here?"

Airion kept his eyes and senses open once they entered the guild hall.

Heironymus decided to try to find some information on the merchant and he was happy to let him do so.

While heironymus tried to get information from one of the clerks, Airion hung back with the women and took in the sights around him. The guild hall was beautiful. Once this mess was over Airion hoped he could come back to explore more of the city.
