Subject: Carey

They are on the 5th movie. Order of the Pheonix. you have a lot of catching up to do!

2 years ago i thought of Harry Potter as a childish, nerdy hype. Now I count the days until the next movie. Well, i don't really count them, but i know the release date! lol

July 11th.

It used to be July 12th for the USA, but now they have made it the 11th. Same date for Canada. Same date here in Holland.

Subject: Grindhouse

I'm dissapointed to hear that about Bug. I was hoping for the same. ah well...

Almerin and I went to see Deathproof a few nights ago. It's one of the Grindhouse films. The one by Quentin Tarantino. We really enjoyed it!!
Here in Europe, they have split up the movies (STUPID!). So Deathproof came out first, and in about a month (i guess) Planet Terror plays. And yes, we do have to pay the price of two tickets, instead of one, like in America. Bummer.

Anyway, back to the point: Deathproof was coooool! The ending really made it awesome! There are a couple of scenes where the girls talk way too long about who made out with who, but other than that, it was a pretty cool film. I definately recommend seeing it.

The Planet Terror movie doesn't get many good reviews, so you Americans (and maybe Canadians?) are stuck watching that one also...but hey, It's probably bareable (sp?)
I still want to go see it, even though I have heard a lot of bad things about it. Like how Grugg went to Bug after Olan said it sucked

I wish you the best, MLSD.

Black and white TV. I almost forgot. We didn't get a color TV until i was 8 or 9 i think, lol. And we never had a TV with a remote. Always a dial turner. But eventually, when i was...oh say 10-12, we got a special box that connected to our Tv, and the box came with a remote. It allowed us to watch more than 13 channels Yay cable! hehe, ah memories.
I miss Nintendo. oh, i remember playing Nintendo on a little black and white Tv, haha. Funny.

Subject: pirates 3

We saw it last night. It was good, but I dunno, I found myself getting bored very often through the beginning and middle. It was a long movie, and until the end, it really felt like a long movie to me.
If we buy it on DVD, i think i would only care to watch the last hour of it again. *shrugs*
Good movie, but like someone said, there was a lot going on for 3 hours Which isn't really a bad thing, it just felt like a lot of information-giving i guess. Hard for me to explain. I just felt weird!
I really enjoyed the last hour or so, however.

I didn't even notice Spiderman standing in front of a huge American flag before the big fight.
My reasoning for that is...well...reasonable i guess. It's an American comic hero. Why not? *shrugs* Ah well, i didn't notice it, and i was sitting right next to you in the theatre!

I liked SM3, but something was lacking for me. Oh and i really hated it when they put eyeliner on Peter when he turned to a 'bad boy'!! haha, hello emo. >_<
That wasn't necassary!
I enjoyed the movie, though. However, i wasn't captivated in it. I look forward to Pirates and Harry Potter.

You get eternal life, but sadly you must spend it mentally ill, and unaware of reality, while living in a padded room.

that's a cool story, Al.
when i was a kid i would bury things in the ground in my yard, and promise myself that i would go back and dig in that spot to see if it was there in the future. Or I would leave cool things in the ground for the next people to find when they moved in. Like a box with things in it. I've never gone back to find anything, of course.

Your deck becomes a tropical paradise, comlpete with scorpions, sharks, alligators, stinging jelly fish, and snapping turtles and crabs! And a nudist colony drops in often to tan there. hehe

I wish for feet that never hurt.

you're 26 right...so you had to be born in 1981, maybe 1980. If you're talking about the Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, it was in theatres in 1980 (and again in 81 i believe). I checked that on IMDB. You wouldn't have even been 1 year old... O_o right?

uhh, well Tad Williams wrote a book called "The Burning Man". It was coupled with "The Wood Boy" by someone else...but i don't know who the burning man 'is'...
I never read the book. Are you even talking about the book? Is the Burning Man, the Wooden Boy, by any chance?

((Almerin and I have met and talked with Tad Williams, btw!))

Subject: good question!!

I have a lot of early memories. I'm not sure which one is the first, so i'll give a couple that i know were before i hit school. So i suppose i was 3 or 4.

I remember visiting a house with my parents, that we were going to move into. There were a lot of toys laying in one of the closets still, and i was walking over them for some reason (i guess to play or check them out) and i fell down and something sharp stuck me in my bottom. I screamed really loud and cried and was taken away.

Another memory: In the same exact house. Our cat had just had kittens in my closet (the same closet! haha), and i was really excited, so i started jumping over a sardine can that we had let them (or the mother, rather) lick the juice out of. I jumped over it a few times, and then landed on it with my foot and cut my little toe pretty badly. I was taken to the emergency room and perhaps given stitches. When my mother was carrying me out of the ER, i pulled the fire alarm as i passed by it, and tons of nurses started running around frantically. We were right beside the door and my mother just yelled at me and then ran out of there, haha. She left them to sort it out.
