"And we're at the Might makes Right stage of today's blustering tirade..." Her black eyes focused on the vampire seemingly unaware that the words he was trying to refute were his own. "If you wonder why otehrs chafe so under your rule, and lash out so violently in reprisal, you would do well to consider your actions so far today. Your hypocrisy and monomania are not unique. The traits are, in fact, so common among your kind, that no other response to your could even be imagined by a rational mind. Even when you think you are trying to help, you think only to aid yourself and pursue your own ends. Grow up and learn that there is more to the world than your own wants and desires."

Turning her back, she cast one more parting line over her shoulder as she strode away into the trees. "And put her down if you wish to live long enough to seduce and murder anyone else in this world, for I doubt the next will be so forgiving."

Watching Lamiel intently as he speaks. After a long pause, he slowly bends down. Laying Erina on the ground, he releases her gently. Rising back up he looks at Lamiel. "My wants and needs are not important in this moment. My means may be my own, but my motives are for the good of our nation."

As soon as teh contact was broken, Erina's heart restarted. She missed what D'Artigo said last and opened her eyes.

Erina took in a deep breathe and sat up.

Miv kneeled next to her and hugged Erina. "Don't you ever touch her again." She hissed at D'Artigo, her irises turning crimson again.

"I don't want you near her. Ever. You can stay if you like, but if you lay a finger on Erina I will personally rip you limb from limb." Miv helped Erina up and alittle ways away from D'Artigo.

"I would see you try."

"Back to the topic at hand. Survivors. Where do we start?"

"I think we should score the woods first." She said and held Erina's shoulders.

"Of course you would say that. Maybe you even believe it yourself. Self-deception is the easiest brand of lie." So saying, the angel disappeared into the trees. Why had she stuck her neck out so for the sake of a Fallen, a creature of evil, almost by definition? Even at personal risk, she had done so. Was it becuase the Fallen had shown such interest and comraderie in her before? Because she perhaps saw grains of good within her? Perhaps it was. The plain truth was that self-deception was indeed the easiest brand of lie, and understanding one's own motivations was a rare state, and difficult to achieve. Anyone who thought they had found it easily had likely never found it at all.

Erina blinked, looking at where Lamiel had dissapeared. She looked at Miv.

"Miv...I think we should try looking for Lycans. They're bound to have prisoners.

Jessica had been very tense during the fighting. If she had to she would have helped Miv. She didn't like how limp Erina got in Lycan biter arms. "I can track my kin. If you let me, I could find any Lycan that could be in this forest" She offered. She smelled the air, there were many scent but if Jessica wanted to she could follow any one.

Miv nodded alittle. "Okay, we'll go with that plan." She said.

"If you can smell them, then they very likely can also smell you." Lamiel had wandered out of the woods again and back to the group. "I would consider arefully before embarking on this course of action."

Jessica closed her eye started going through the smells. She caught two familiar ones. Half human-half animal or lycan. She spoke "There are two lycans, no one else. They are young this is most likely thier first mission. They are just following the scent of Erina blood." She opened her eyes and smiled. She bet Lycan biter was eager to bite some lycans.

"Then let's go."

Miv took at Erina. Something was missing in the Fallen's Angels eyes...Miv realized that it was happiness.

Jessica offered "We could meet them or wait till they show up. They are in animal form." Jessica paused and said "Very big animals"

"Let's meet them."

Miv tensed, ready for battle.
