...

Not sure about everybody having a vehicle... Chicago is a big, busy, bustling place and a lot of people take the El (elevated train/subway) or other modes of public transport to get around (cuz it's usually quicker and cheaper - parking costs a fortune in Chicago!!!).

Gotta go with the GMs ruling on that, of course...

For the record, I don't imagine Murph's vehicle being much of anything... probably some rattle trap clunker of a compact truck or some such (mechanics usually drive the worst cars on the lot if you've ever noticed) and likely wouldn't fit all of our group comfortably inside... *shrug*

C'mon... you know everybody wants to walk to Wrigley, anyway.

Hasn't anyone seen a zombie movie?

You simply cannot drive a car in a city in a zombie movie. There are always too many other crashed/abandoned/destroyed vehicles in the road to even think about it.

But looting a few of their own (although if Amber even had one I doubt it carried more than a child seat, McDonald's wrapers and kids toys), or other peoples is probably a good idea.

Wrigley's is fine, but we will likely need med supplies (and I mean penicillin) for Emily in the near future. I suppose Wrigley's might have some of the basics especially in the locker room, but penicillin might not be on that list, not usually needed for general first aid and/or sports injuries. So a pharmacy would be a necesity if you asked Amber.

Agreed...

...I'm pretty sure Olan said there were pharms within a block or so either way we went from O'Brian's, so a stop at one of those along the way would be a priority... *nods*

I finally posted, you guys can now directly interact with the baby-doll. Don't get too attached though Eol xD

Pharms would be the place to start (for me at least)

Me?

Get attached to other characters and get all crazy about keeping them alive?

That almost never happens with my characters... sometimes...

maybe a plan?

I passed this by the Gm already. Adrian has a GMC truck and a pull behind trailer. Should have tools and in the trailer some souvineer props from movies hes been in. However, its all probably been looted, thats up to the GM.

A pharmacy is a good idea, but what about a pawn shop? good weapons and maybe even ammo.

fyi

Pharmacies lie about four blocks from here, one east, one south. Wrigley is about two blocks north. There are no major stores nearby.

have a map

Here, guys - I have made you a map with local pharmacies, the closest grocery store, Wrigley field, and a 7-eleven marked on it. There are tons of bars and souvenier stores (Cub's jersey's and tees aplenty) on Clark and Addison by Wrigley.

You won't get this level of detail all the time, but the party members who live locally would know where all of these are.

Maps are good...

...calls to mind other options for our group, as well.

It was mentioned in an earlier post that making for the lake was a possibility, right? I imagine if we could find a decent sized boat and figure out how to operate it safely, we could manage a defensible base of operations afloat... Just came to mind after looking at the map and the stores/facilities available along the different routes... Wrigley is closer but getting to a pharmacy and such along the way will make for a longer trip... the lake is farther away but there are more supply stops along a more direct route... *shrug* ... ATM, Murph's still thinking Wrigley but I figured I'd share my thoughts on this and let the rest of you figure out how your characters might think... especially you locals.

map

im still liking wrigley the lake is not deffencible at all unless u live on a boat. Other than that if planned right we can hit everything in one swoop if we go a little out of our way and go East then North first we can hit a Walgreens and a food store and then its a straight run to Wrigleys from there. other than that there isnt much we can do besides the 7/11 or whatever thats directly on the way.

You know...

according to the Zombie Survival Guide living on a boat is actually a really great idea.

However... not sure our malicious GM would allow it... and it the game would probably be pretty boring if we actually succeded on getting a boat out there. *shrug*

Wrigley's seems rather BIG to defend with five people... but whatever.

And... even if it is out of our way we need to drop by one of thos drug stores.

Personally I think we should head to the one closest to Wrigley's and see if we actually survive long enough to reach it then decide where to go from there.

You know... apt buildings are also great for defense... and there are probably plenty of those around the drug store... as a though.
