Summer of Sixteen Sixty Four

I got my first real long sword,
Bought at Al’s General Store,
Practiced til my friends all bled,
Was Summer sixteen sixty-four.

Me and the guys from town,
Had our swords and we fought real hard,
Ara died,
Tarak got eaten,
I shoulda known we’d never get far.

Oh if we turn back now,
Those zombies will have our hineys,
And if we stand our ground,
Ah – Please would someone remind me,
Is this the best way to spend our lives?

Ain’t no use in spellcasting,
Magic resistance is cruel,
Adventuring sure is a tough life,
But we can’t let evil rule!

Entering a Tomb of Horror,
We thought that we would live forever,
But when I set off that trap,
I knew that escape was never,
Is this the best way to spend our lives?

Was Summer sixteen sixty-four.

Man we were in green slime,
We were slayin undead,
Morale is in decline,
I think Charm Spell can’t last forever - forever, no

Okay the guards are changing,
I’m thinking that it’s time we’re gone,
Grab the gold and buy a new long sword,
And think about how many things went wrong, oh!

Entering a Tomb of Horror,
We thought that we would live forever,
But when I set off that trap,
I knew that escape was never,
Is this the best way to spend our lives?

Was Summer sixteen sixty-four.
