Now I Fight

The demons run at my heels,
Trying to ensnare me,
Fling me down,
Devour me.
 

 

Running, running,
I must keep running,
No time,
To stop, to rest.
 

 

I run now,
As I have run for days,
Countless miles,
I still run on.
 

 

They have taken my friends, my family,
They will not take me!
Rage, bitter rage,
Boiling white rage.
 

 

I stopped,
No more running,
No more fleeing,
No more.
 

 

Now I fight,
Fight with the sword,
The sword forged of steel, magic, and love,
All bound into one.
 

 

Now I fight.
