How do we gain the information on the successful and failed explorations. You said the boarder lands would be the most likely to have major treasure, so what is considered boarder lands.

This is so we can start to figure what direction to go next.

Subject: Hey Gang............

I think it is usually wise to take the DM's advice about things being too dangerous for the party, especially a bunch of LEVEL ONE nuckleheads. We are sooooooooo weak a strong breeze could cause us trouble.

So let's just keep it simple and head to Tagea. There are two towns that might provide food and safety to a bunch newbe adventures. Remember we are only level one and doubt many of you have played from level one in a long time. Almost EVERYTHING is stronger than a level one. We could run into robbers and THEY are stronger than we are . Only our number of ten members helps by reducing the odds against each of us. We need to gain some XP so we can level to 3 or 4 to take on some real badies. So let's go camping on Tagea, visit the two towns, find out if there are any interesting "Old" spots where Pirates or such may stashed loot from raiding ships leaving or entering the Innes River. Returning some of that kind of loot would get us XP and maybe some minor fame in character.

Where would I find the list on ceremonies to know a which level they can be used.

There was a "Rain Dance" that was used for healing that could come in handy. As you said is Crusaders Tohmas was 2nd level but he had that rain dance ceremony. I used it after the first encounter to heal one of our party. I just don't remember how we established it.

If it pleases the Game Master I will be bringing back the Shaman/Druid Tohmas Goodwood.

He was the character I had in your Crimson Crusaders games.

I will just tweek him a bit on the back story, but pretty much keeping the character sheet the same.

Subject: Helping Hands.............

LV-426, Inside of Rocinante Port Shuttle 7:25 am PT
No sooner had Ash called Willow for help when the couple separated. The man fell backwards and the girl reached out grabbing Wyatt’s arm. Then suddenly the captain did something ... unexpected.

Wyatt pulled the young Amber into an embrace and the two were kissing passionately like ... well like her and the other guy were just a few minutes ago. Amber tore open Wyatt’s shirt as he struggle to get his arms under his suspenders and undo his gunbelt.

The kid stared in disbelief he saw a small amount of blood on the sleeve of the captain where the girl was holding him. There was something on her finger digging into his arm and he was sure that was the cause of all this ... fruitfulness and multiplying.

It didn't take a gorram genius to see that captain was in trouble and that girl had just inflicted some kind injection on his arm. Moving quickly Ash used one of the moves he'd learned from Miss Willow with a bit of improvise.

Raising a leg as if side kick he placed boot on Wyatt's hip as he grabbed the girl's forearm. A quick push, pull and twist. Ash shoved Wyatt away as he spun pulling the girl away, twisting her arm out around and backing it up behind her back. Keeping a tight grip on her wrist he grabbed her free arm and pull back behind too.

"Miss, don't struggle, I don't mean to hurt you but you've just hurt the wrong man." As he succeeded in making the move, the device on her finger fell off and landed on the floor of the shuttle, rolling in a circle toward Wyatt who was standing there for a few seconds in shock of what just happened. He rubbed the arm that had been pricked by the device but gave Asher a quick nod to show that he was still in control of faculties – or at least was once again in control.

The girl fell to the floor crying, “No! Give that to me! I have to have it! You ... don’t know what it is like to ... Please.” From a kneeling position in front of Asher, she looked up mumbling, “I’ll do anything just give it back.” She crumpled to the ground in a fetal position crying and shaking. There was blood on her fingertip as well, just like the needle hole in Wyatt’s arm. Asher had seen someone in the grips of drug dependency once act like this before but this was something beyond anything he had ever witness in his life.

As Wyatt started to recover he knew he should get the girl out there. Seeing the girl laying naked there Ash felt his face was redder and not from the exertion to separate the girl from Wyatt. He quickly stepped over to a storage bin and pulled out two emergency blankets (The silver lined thermal ones) to toss one over Cameron and wrap the other around Amber.

"Miss you need to get to Miss Willow. I sure hope she heard me and is on her way."

No sooner had he placed the blankets around the man and over the girl when Willow appeared in the shuttle doorway. She quickly surveyed scene, she seemed to recognize people.

"Captain? I .... uh....let's get these two to my medical bay - I know both of these people, but I'm pretty certain they didn't know each other...before today, that is. I'd seen Amber earlier and was worried about her. She seemed to be under the influence of something,"

Willow had crouched beside Amber to check her hand, but then spotted the device on the shuttle floor."This is the likely culprit, though I have no idea what it is." She scooped up the device and dropped it in her pocket.

The gunslinger stepped over toward Miss Willow, "Are they going to be ok?" The ships medical expect looked up and smiled. The kid had seem that look before from folk that weren’t sure how to say “Thank You.”

Willow continued, "I'll need to get them stabilized - I don't like Cameron-san's colour, but I don't think this is a drug. That thing had no reservoir for a liquid, so I suspect it's a neuro-stimulator of some kind. Can you carry Amber, Ash?

The kid bent down, wrapped the girl securely in the blanket and lifted her gently. Cradling the trembling young lady Ash waited to follow as Miss Willow continued.

We'll have to get help with Cameron-san. Captain-san, are you able to walk to the bay unassisted? I'm thinking I'd better check you, as well."

Subject: Enter Jym Enen.....

To watch the Gnome move about the fort you would never have known the time and effort required to get him to this point. A little over a year ago Jym Enen , that’s what he calls himself now, had been brought to fort by one the regular patrols. They had encountered an encamped band of renegade Gnolls. Most of the Gnolls successfully fled but a few unwisely attacked the patrol, believing they were the superior number. As the patrol was cleaning up the Gnoll camp they found a bundle containing what was surely to had been intended to be the Gnoll’s next meal.

The naked Gnome they found bound and gagged had been severely beaten. His skill was crushed, nearly all his limbs broken and several large gashes crudely covered so as to keep his juices in long enough to keep the meat fresh. The patrol was amazed too that this pulp was still live. The best the healer could do in the field was to closed the wounds and relieve as much of the pain as he could. The patrol carried the Gnome back to the fort where he was places in the infirmary. The fort log listed him as GMNN 49269, that being Gnome Male, No Name and the log number 49269.

The healers were able to keep him alive. They worked long to set his bones and close the seeping gashes. The disfigured creature didn’t regain consciousness for two weeks. When it came to it opened its eyes but there was little spark in the pale blue that stared out. Several more weeks passed before its jaw was healed enough to move. The healer asked him, “Gnome, it is a wonder you are still with us, could you tell me your name?”

A great look of concern flashed across the Gnome’s face. Barely able to form words the Gnome mumbled back, “No.” It became clear to the healer through the rest of his questions that the Gnome seemed to have no memory of his life before he had opened his eyes in the infirmary.

The next week they worked to help the Gnome use his hands again. Bringing him a knife and small chunks of wood he grasped and moved them in tortured hands and fingers that had been broken in an attempt to remove a plain silver ring and an old worn indistinguishable signet ring. The craving provided enough effort to build his dexterity and control. The healers were also delighted by the skill and craftsmanship as the wood became beautiful items.

Then they brought stones and tools; he needed to build more strength touch to split and shape the stone into anything other than a pile of rubble. But little by little raw stone turn to fine gem. There were many skills buried in that body with the locked mind.

It was decided to get him up and move him about. The legs that had been bent and broken were now straight but had no strength to hold even a Gnome. Daily he hobbled to the blacksmith’s barn; there he was given small tasks to force him to lift, walk, swing and do other thing to build the muscles that had been bruised and torn. When the smith started to teach him how to shape and form metal with heat and hammer, the Gnome quickly proved as skilled here as he was with the knife and wood or chisel and stone.

Many months passed and the Gnome worked for smithy. His skill at repairing and making tools brought many to the smith, because what the Gnome wrought seldom broke, retained its shape and was always a finer tool than what been brought in for repair. The smith was pleased as he grew wealthier.

As the Gnomes renown spread, soldiers soon started to bring their blades to him for repair. What he couldn’t repair he forged anew. His skill with wood lead to him to repair and fashion bows, crossbows, bolts and arrows. Before long even the Dwarves and Elves in the fort were impressed with what the Gnome could do with iron and wood. The soldier taught the Gnome how to use the weapons he was to repair and his skill with sword and bow were soon equal to his skill with hammer and tong.

Now over a year later that broken mass of flash and bone was strong, deft, agile and skilled. He stood straight; he was tall for Gnome, reaching nearly four foot. His neatly trimmed brown bread covered the scars on the face, his pale blue eyes were clear and sharp. The jaunty brown leather hat he had become known for wearing was tilted down some on the right to cover his dented skull. He dressed plainly, the simple shirt, waist coat and breeches fit him well. Perfectly balanced throwing knives he had crafted were well concealed. An unassuming short sword hung from his hip, another amazing example of the craft he had developed as an arms man. He always appeared neat. He was an amiable fellow, always asking questions.

He had come back from a near horrific death. But he also had said how miserable it is not knowing who he was, what he was and where he had come from. He looked for a chance to venture and discover who was Jym Enen.

After packing his few belongings Jym made his rounds to tell his friends he leaving to find his answers. The garrison’s commander told him of a small group of adventures that had taken up a cause as the Leather Coat Avengers. They might be in need of person with Jym’s skills and that they might be able to help find his answers. He told Jym they could be found in the City of Lasch and that there was a patrol heading there today and that he could travel with them.

Arriving in Lasch Jym found it easy to locate the adventurers, people couldn’t stop talking about their achievements. Making his way to the Dragon Claw Inn he found the four seated at what may have been their usual table.

Approaching the table he nodded to the group, “I have been told that I might find the ones known as the Leather Coat Advenger here at the Dragons Claw and you fit their description. The commander of the garrison told me that might you be in need of one with fighting skills support your cause. I am Jym Enen, I would ask to join your group. I am man with no past. I have no memory of my life before the past year. So you would have to take me as I am. I hope that as we travel I might discover more of who I am. But I would pledge to you now that I, Jym Enen, will serve your cause. So if you let sit with I will buy you a round and you ask me all you can and I will tell you all I know.”

Setting his pack on the floor Jym waved to serving girl to fetch a round. As the ale flowed Jym told them the story of his attack and recovery.

We're building a bit on earlier info. John wanted to be the pilot and he wants to have his own ship so he'll slip into that Alpha persona from time to time. The crew will react like siblings and give him a hard time, but nothing too tough unless he doesn't recognize what he's doing. The ship can't have two captains. John has shown he's good at techy stuff but so far that's all. Wyatt, Ma, Willow, Wolf and Ash are the current crew and don't have to prove themselves. Tess and John are still establishing themselve as is Sifu. The time will come when we all have each others backs and the bond will be complete, so it's all good.

BTW Ash refers to the Port side shuttle instead of starbourd because that's the one over the damaged thuster. On page 45:

Rocinante Cockpit, 9:00 pm ST

Captain Wyatt Sung sat in the second pilots chair of the bridge and listened to the reports,

Wolf: Right now the drive pod on the port side is completely nonresponsive. Can Tess land with one? Yes, but it will be a bumpy landing as she has no VTOL. You don;t know how damaged it is until you can look at it.
-------------

It would sort of fit with John seeming cocky and saying the wrong side in his rush. So I'm playing off that idea. It is sort like when Ash cut the wrong wire in his rush to help.
------------------------
Ok, I'll edit that Ash has heard not seen. His thing for the ladies could seem to put him a local establishments when he was Sheriff or just out shopping.

Grasping Ash's right arm in a grip not unlike that he'd seen on the old earth show Sparticus, Wolf looked the young Gunfighter in the eye.

"Only reason John or I don't return these puppies to you is if we are both dead. Sheh-sheh xiongdì"

As they headed back into Rocinante's gangway John's voice came over the general crew comm net.

"Wolf, we're taking the other shuttle. Ash, get to the starboard shuttle with Willow or the Captain. There's a situation you guys need to deal with."

Wolf called to Wyatt as both he and the ship's gunfighter started moving in that direction........"Captain I'm with Ash right now we'll check it out"

The kid sighed as he shook his head, he didn’t mind helping out crew mates but it rubbed him a bit wrong that the new crew mate felt he could order him and other around.
“I’ll go check this out…..maybe you should head to the other shuttle before John orders you to meet him there.” Ash gave Wolf a shrug as he headed to the shuttle.

Heading down the gangway Ash saw John moving into the starboard shuttle, so figuring the problem was in the the other he stepping into the port shuttle. Ash heard the grunting of a couple engaged aggressive "boinking".

Inside the small compartment there were the two caught up in their sexual coupling and even with Asher now standing there they refused to stop. Ash reckoned that this didn't seem right even for rich folk. The kid had heard of this sorta thing before in a house of pleasure and figured pulling them apart wouldn’t stop the frenzy. Keying the comm, “Miss Willow… we’re gonna a med kit with tranquilizers.. and maybe antidotes in the port shuttle. We got a couple high on some sort of love drug and if we don’t slow um down this old guy is gonna hurt himself.”
