Subject: Shield Wolf

Actually, it looks like I've got everything I need from you. It's been a bush week so I haven't been updating much, but I'm hoping for some spare time on the weekend. I'm also still hoping for another member, but if I have to work with a four man team I will. I think I'd like to get this game rolling by the end of next week.

I have three characters sort of in, and queries about a cavalier. So four. I'm still looking for one or two interested players, with a heavy preference towards getting a good healer into the mix. I'll keep smoothing over rough patches and working with the recruits I have, with great anticipation for when we can begin.

I trust Ayrn, you can use his rolls.

As for AC. Your base AC is 10. As it gets better, it goes up, instead of down. I actually find it to be considerably more simplistic than THACO. This way, your attack roll and AC go up as you progress. No need to do any math.

Not bogged down. Just creating a drow myth that corresponds to the myth of Elves.

I like the way you think Shield Wolf.
I added a little bit about the Marakobi Badlands into the history, give you a little more to go on about your people. I'll try and expand the map so that people have a broader sense of where they are in the world and how they fit in. King Rats made me have to do some thinking. Haha.

The game that brought me back stopped dead in its tracks. So other than my own campaign I've got nothing else going on. So I shall be a happy fourth trooper! If you'll have me good sir. (Or Ma'am. Not wholeheartedly sure. Your Avatar looks like Peter Pan! )

A stealthy rogue with a tendency towards killing is great. And we may be able to work towards some form of assassins training. If I recall the usual assassins guild is evil in nature, but I'll think on it. Besides, the rogue class in pathfinder is still well and above the parameters one desires from a Bourne killer.

Looks like we're well on our way to getting this shindig started. I'll be working on some more background, get to answering any questions, looking over character sheets, helping out with backstories and such, after work. Haha. But for now I'm just happy to be getting back into it.

I'd be glad to have you. A cavalier or fighter would work well. All in all that would leave us with an inquisitor, a ranger, and a cavalier/fighter. This means it would be very good to have a skilled rogue, and a specialized healer. Perhaps a bit more magic to complement it all too?

Nice to have you on board King Rat.

I now have two players! Might I have a third? And a fourth, a fifth?

All right. I didn't want to have to do this. But anyone willing to join (in this most excellent setting) shall receive, one Canadian penny! After all, they've stopped making them. So it's like a collectors item. Only 65 billion of them in the world!

Okay, my ever evolving back story is beginning to mold itself into a shape less like poo, and a little more like fantasy! It's in the Q&A if anyone wants to venture a look, I've also linked the two threads together for your shopping convenience. Any takers? Feel free to sign up here. Any questions? Over There!

Have a nice day my fellow innmates.

In the Pathfinder Core Rule Book, in Chapter 12: Gamemastering, on page 399 you shall find your answer. (It's 3000 gp)

I think it harkens back to 3.5 that the entry stays in the Dungeonmaster's section. The original assumption of the core rulebook is we all start at level one.

I am Three Point, the Chaos Warrior! And that makes me... (goldust inhale/exhale) DANGEROUS!!!

So. I don't remember the name of this characters race. But it was a fey, that had the body of a fawn, and a humanoid torso. Sort of like a little Centaur. Anywho, his antlers had three points, and thus his name. For some god forsaken reason he became a chaos warrior, and he'd roam around the land with his trusty lance and "bum rush" anyone who got in his way. Whenever asked to introduce himself. He would say the introductory sentence with great emphasis. Looking down at the little guy, often most found it cute. The party grew to find it awfully annoying, insisting that noone ask who or what he was. Haha. Good times.

Right now I'm at work and not in front of the books, however I can answer a good deal of these questions. The starting level will be third. Stats will be decided either by an rdinn dice roll that you email me. Or you can use the standard buy. 15 points, it's in the pathfinder book, but if anyone needs that explained I can. You may choose any race or class that can start as a level one character, and not have any racial hit dice. However, that being said, this is a non-evil aligned campaign. So keep that in mind during creation.

Starting gold will be the same as in the book for level three, which I can edit in later. Oh, and I can get ahold of any class and variant desired. So feel free to experiment. I'm hoping to find five or six players, and it would be well advised to have a healer, rogue, and magic user with some dedicated skills.

I'll be working on a q&a later on tonight. Hope this helps.

Subject: King's Blades Recruitment Program

Hello fellow innmates. It has been some time since I've hosted a game, and now that I am relatively unattached to any other posts, I have decided that it is time to add my own pathfinder campaign into the fray. So I suppose I'll begin by saying that I have run this campaign with my circle of friends, and it had a great mixture of adventure, combat, stealth, and problem solving. The premise of the game is quite simple, as the objective is solid the whole way through. So with that, I suppose I shall explain the game a bit more.

The King's Blades. That is what you are. An elite force assembled with one purpose in mind. You are to counteract any and all attempts to subvert the army of Alaron in their march to the Gates of Malavar.

Malavar is the Throne City to the Emperor of Volderos, a foul country that has conquered and enslaved neighbouring countries. The might of the Alaron army is unquestionable in all the northern lands, and they have beaten back the Volderi aggressors time and again. However, whenever it seems as though the tide of battle has shifted in the favour of the righteous, the Volderi use their wealth of foul magics, assassins, even deals with the devils, to stay the hand of defeat.

The King of Alaron has had enough of the constant skirmishes on his borderlands. He tires of losing allies, men he had called brothers. After raising a call to arms, from every lord in his northern domain, a call for the greatest host the land of Elus had ever seen, he spoke to his most trusted adviser, the man he entitled the "High General". Scour the kingdom, he said, and find me the most worthy of agents, those that might put in check the nefarious ways of our Volderi foe. Our army will march south until the heads of the Imperial hellspawn adorn our pikes. Yours will be the might of my hand, and they shall be my blades. They shall bring the might of my host to bear upon this vile land, and see it is cleansed of treachery, of madness.

And so... they found you. The Blades.

(Let me know who's interested. )

A man in chainmail approaches him at the bar. Before that the man had been intently surveying the situation between the rough and tumble half breed, and the farmers. Istoran introduced himself, and then asked for his name. Jonathan wasn't very interested in throwing his name around to strangers, and his intentions were unknown to him. So he decided to lie. He chuckles at being called sir, "No no, don't toss me into the same pile as those blowhards with lances. I am no sir. You can call me Thistle. My favorite nickname. People say I'm a pain in the arse!" He smirks, and locks eyes with Istoran briefly. A dark chestnut hue that bore into the man, studying the features of this fellow patron that sought a cornerstone in the arch of acquaintanceship.

"What brings you to this rust bucket... Istoran?"

A young man wearing many pockets and studded leather came bustling in from the street and walks up to the bar. After he grabs a stool he waves at the innkeeper. "Good man, your advertising couldn't be better! Leave the door open, cook up some bacon, and the hungry will come," he swats a fly from the air that had a particular boldness about it's proximity to his face, "though letting in all the flies, you may want to work on that."

He smiles disengenuously to show he means no harm by the ribbing. "I would love some bacon. Ooh! And eggs if you've got them. A bit early for booze, but I'll take some utter sauce if that's handy. Could you fill up my skin for me too?" he takes his waterskin out of his backpack and hands it to the old man behind the counter. "Thank you kindly."

After running his fingers through his unkempt flaxen hair, pressing it back out of his face and curling it around his ears, he hunches in his stool, leans on the bar and looks towards the happenings between Myirh and the farmers. "Hmmm…" he mutters under his breath, "I wonder…"
