Goblin encampment
Iodum Road, on the edge of the Paegos forest
Febre, Early Morning

As the battle intensifies, everything becomes a blur. The goblin guard fires off another shot at Acantha, and gives himself up to an opportunous attack from Tianna, however, he sees her out of the corner of his eye, and ducks the blow with ease. His shot, however, misses, leaving Acantha unharmed.

Among the campfire, one of the goblins whearing a chainshirt, and proud smirk, fires off a shot towards Tianna, but the shot falls short.

Tianna takes another swing at the goblin guard with his own dropped hand axe, but is aware of her actions now, and takes leans back to avoid the blow directed at his torso.

He leans... directly into Riina's arrow, which hits into his neck. Consequently it begins squirting arterial blood, and he drops to the ground, writhing in agony.

The hulky goblin who had struck Acantha with an arrow seconds previous does so again, this time, the arrow sinks deep into the druid's right abdomen. The goblin beside him who had previously missed, misses again, much to the good tidings of the druid, who wouldn't likely take too many more shots.

Acantha continues on course, following his plan, heading towards the goblin bonfire so he may attack them put them in his sights. The problem he may find with this plan, however, is that if you have line of sight to your enemies, so too do they.

The entangling roots begin once anew to attempt to capture Tianna and the last standing goblin who is free of it's binding grasp. Tianna once again eludes the claws of grasss and weeds, and likewise the goblin is not unhinged by the plants. Cheli attempts to break free from his bonds, but to no avail. The guard who had evaded them previously, now lay amongst them as they bind him to the earth.

The goblin who remains free of the entangling roots rushes over towards Tianna, dropping his sling and withdrawing a club from his belt. They are now within melee range of one another.

The howls from within the tents continue, along with the shouts. Apparently, the goblins within the tents must have been entrapped by the entangling roots as well, which could be a blessing for the moment.

(Well. Acantha, you have 3 hp left. Riina you've downed one of the goblins, and... besides that, not much else happened.)

(Edit: TRSG, sorry, I used the wrong die roll for the short bow, you had only actually taken 4 damage, you have 3 hp left.)

Subject: That Tickle on Your Spine?

Drydoc, The Eye of the Dragon
Shader's Nest
Febre, Mid day

So it had been decided, at least in the mind of the halfling Tanglefoot, that it would be better to enter the nest of snakes, and soothe the king serpent, rather than provoke their fangs with outright retreat. It was a guessing game to be sure, for if he had left, refusing the elven man he very well may have become a pincushion. However he also had the fear that the guildmaster may very well flay him alive.

Entering into the main floor of the thieves den, the halfling sees a series of tables, with an assortment of pilfered goods. Many sections are divided by large canvas curtains, dyed black. It was here that Tanglefoot was introduced to his first major problem in locating the stolen statuette, or at the very least, the thieving kobold. The place was teeming with the little lizardly buggers. He had no way to tell them apart, and they all sneered at him with equal distaste.

The Elven Concierge leads Tanglefoot through the maze of tables and curtains until they pass through the first fixed wall in the place, at least the first that the halfling has seen. They head through the doorway, and then up a flight of stairs directly to the right of the room's entrance.

At the top of the stairs there is a door. It is apparently locked, as the child of Sucurion stops before it, and makes a series of knocks. Tanglefoot tries desperately to hear what the knocking sequence on the door is, but he fails miserably. The elf is far too discreet, and the sound does not carry far enough.

After about a minute, the door opens, and a large orcish female appears. It was a rare sight indeed, and she seemed to be just as capable of being a bouncer as any of her male counterparts. After seeing who it is, she steps aside, letting them pass. She eyes the halfling, not so warily as dangerously, as though she would like to test out his aerodynamics in a game of 'kick tiny'...

Through the door there is a narrow corridor, that ends in yet another door. It is open, and a warm orange glow is emitting from the inner sanctum. In fact, when they enter the room, Tanglefoot is rather impressed. The floor is carpeted and luxurious, the windows are covered with fancy tapestries, and there is a mural depicting the War of the Sorrows upon the wall, just above the mantle of the fireplace, where the warm glow was emenating from. The fire crackled pleasantly.

In a dark lacquered chair sat a darkly charming woman, with pale, freckled skin, and jet black hair. The contrast of her icey blue eyes in the firelight struck shivers down the halflings spine, though it had very little to do with fear. This is the Guildmaster? He thought to himself, having expected a man to greet him.

"Greetings Silvarimon, what have you brought me today?" Her voice was tender, calm, quiet but articulate. She made you lean in to hear, though without missing a word said. It was an old trick of seduction, and she handled it masterfully.

"This particular young halfling has said that there was a theft, that an item of value had been stolen from him by a kobold under our employ. I might also add that he is a known thief, and that he neglected to pay us our respects before continuing on in his rogue endeavours." Replied the elven lead, who was apparantly named Silvarimon.

"Hmmm..." said the guildmistress, in a contemplative gesture, "Well, what do you have to say for yourself?"

Hey guys, had a bad few days off, and had to catch up on hours at work. It's looking like Sunday for all the posts, might try and knock off YeOlde and Ayrn tonight if I do not fall over. Anyhow, I need TRSG to post, as well as Brianna, Grugg, and Sibelius.

In any case, hopefully we can get the ball rolling before the week begins, elsewise we may have to wait until the next weekend, and that sort of delay has spelt doom for other fledgling games in the past. So very uncool...

What a disappointment that was...

After all the wading through the crowd, waiting around for Pio and Percifeer to get out of the entangled web that was the justice system... and now, they come to find that the barracks was indeed deserted.

What to do next?

Well. Neither the Prison nor the Arsenal appealed to the young half-orc. She wasn't getting any hits in memory on the importance of these locations. Then again, her concentration wasn't in tip top form. She was now regretting not taking a bigger piece of bread with her on the road. Though none of the group had really eaten that much in the day. Perhaps they could discuss their plans where food was conspicuous.

Choosing not to dote on the fact that she had been stereotyped as a barbarian by the man behind the counter, she turned to the others, "Do you suppose we could go and get a bite to eat before it is too late to find a decent place? Perhaps we can kill two birds with one stone. There was that one place that tavern that we were supposed to eventually go by, there was a road sign near the Thunder Bridges... does anyone else remember? I am awfully hungry..."

Subject: Grugg Smash Again... Redundant Much?

Northern Qinxor, Province
Upon The Dragon’s Lash
Neulos, Evening

Apparently offended by the fact that the sorcerer had gotten the final blow on the ogre, Grugg decides that he will take out his anger on the human, who he so amicably refers to as “Pink-fleshed Dragon Spit”. The blow is decidedly a shock to both the sorcerer and the orc fighter, who up until now had failed to grasp the understanding of why Grugg Thingsmasha had been placed on mountain patrol. There was a sickening lurch as the dragon blooded human was embraced by the tree trunk sized club, followed by a series of cracks, and another sound that can only be described as… Splooooooooooge

The orc fighter is of course shocked at first, and readies his weapon, holding the haft of his two sided axe with the ease of proficiency. He looks to the falling sorcerer, and then back at the bloodthirsty barbarian. He continues this pattern for seconds that seem like minutes. It was likely that he could down the injured orc with ease… but on the other hand, he had taken down two ogre’s by himself, perhaps he was only beginning to reveal the secrets of his strength. Finally, he lowers his weapon, kneeling down and rummaging through the human’s pockets. He pulls out a vile of the same blue juice that he had consumed before, and hands it to Grugg. “We need you strong, and that shoulder not strong anymore. This good juice, make you full power. I do what you say, you are big boss now.” He looks at Grugg with admiration… admiration and fear. The fighter remembered stories of old, when Orcs were not slaves to the humans, but their conquerors. He believed in them, and also knew of the prophecy of Brim. Brim had said that an orc of the old blood would rise to become the prosecutor of mankind. He secreted the thought that this barbarian may be the harbinger of a new world, where orcs were the biggest, strongest race… and not the humans, or the loath goblins.

Now that Grugg had a potion that would soothe him back to health, it was up to him to devise a plan for what to come. Of course, given that his brain was primal, and he thought of little besides smashing, jumping, and eating. He may very well do nothing but stare at his pet rock, until he got hungry, at which point he would probably smash, then eat. Maybe he might jump before smashing, for fun.

(Sigh… you killed the sorcerer, or at least effectively killed him… he is in the negatives… still alive, but unless you want to eat him you probably won’t notice. May I introduce the rest of the players to your possible worst nightmare… Oh, yeah, you get experience points for that one too, but I‘ll give them to you when you are closer to a level up.)

I will post by the end of the weekend, two things had stopped me. First, is of course, time management. The second was that I didn't see any real progression that I could commit a post to. I know that we are supposed to be as indigo children and take the reins occasionally, but I figured I would let someone else give it a go.

The morning was a blessing. At sunrise she stole her way out of the inn, where alternatively at midnight she had snuck Maximillion in against the wishes of the innkeepers. The servant at the counter in front sneered as she rode down the steps upon her trusty husky companion. All Brendalla had to offer her was a warm smile. Outside, she found herself a grove of closely knit trees, where she prayed to the sun, the wind, and the earth, as Maximillion stood watch, and ensured that no intruders interfered with her most holy of moments. She tangled her fingers into the grass, and felt the prickly fingers upon the blades edge grab hold of her skin. She contemplated the natural glory that she may require to unleash, to maintain the balance, and to prevent the spread of evil.

After meditating alone for well over an hour, she springs out of her hidden grove, and joins the party outside of the inn. She had missed the beginning of the conversation, and only caught the last, "Oh and Jenna wanted me to give you this. Please, take this and the best of luck to you."

She needn't ask where they were going, as Karlana takes the lead and begins moving out. Having no real need of the spear, she refuses. It isn't the right size for her anyhow. It wasn't often that very many things offered up by humans came to her with a convenience. She preferred her lance anyhow. So long as her and Max were moving as one, she could cause extensive damage to her foes. To date, she hadn't discovered a force that could seperate them. Their bond was complete.

Maximillions head perked up, his knowing eyes gazing into her own; a sloppy grin consenting to her radiating feelings of love for him. Their empathic bond was euphoria to her. She shared his dreams, and ever since had no need of her own, which were dull in comparison. The dog understood true happiness. He lacked the misgiving intellect inherent in her. There was only the loving hand of his master, or the game of fetch on a warm summer's day. The only downside to this bond was her occasional disgust at his obsessive craving for meat. She had tried to teach him how to eat as a vegan, but though he appreciated her attention, his eyebrow merely perked at the food she had offered him. Eventually he would simply sneak off into the forest and hunt for rabbits.

In truth, it is a world of singularily ratified colours. It is where the group Eiffel 65 found the planet in which the song "Blue" was inspired. I believe it is the same phenomenon that brought us the Blue Man Group.

Now that we've answered that. If there is truly such thing as a fourth dimension, why is it time and space, which are two different concepts?

Goblin encampment
Iodum Road, on the edge of the Paegos forest
Febre, Early Morning

The goblins strike first. The guard beside the two elves strikes out with his shortbow, but misses the Acantha by a considerable margin. From the bonfire, the two goblins visible to him strike next, one looks quite comfortable with the bow, but he twangs the string and the vibrations throw the arrow off course. The second, much bulkier one delivers a straight blow, and the arrow collides with Acantha’s left shin. The damage is minimal, and Acantha’s concentration is unbroken.

Tianna is the second to react, grabbing the axe from in front of her and rising to her feet. The boy remains huddled on the floor, too frightened to move.

Riina knocks a perfect shot, and fires it with a crisp draw. The arrows flies with a perfect left curve to accommodate the wind, It is as if her attack is but an extension of nature. It sinks deeply into the goblin guards left arm, and he screams out in pain. If the whole camp was yet unaware of the combat taking place, there would be no mistaking it now. Especially not with Acantha’s first move.

The utterance of his words sounds more like the angry wind of a storm, followed by the crackling boom of thunder. Suddenly the earth groans. Bushes and grass seem to sprawl out of the ground, grasping and clawing all the denizens of the campsite, even going so far as to tear at the tents in the surrounding area. Only Acantha and Riina are out of range. All of the goblins, with the exception of the guard are affected, at least those five goblins that can be seen outside of their tents. They find themselves stuck in place, and begin fighting with all their might to free themselves from the entrapping plants.

Unfortunately, Cheli is stuck within the growth as well, and though he tries to charge in to attack the closest goblin, he finds that he is unable to move. The little boy is ensnared as well, but Tianna gracefully avoids the grasping weeds, brushing the grass aside with her hands.

Shouts erupt from within the tents, even the howl of a wolf. Were there druids amongst the goblin raid? Perhaps they had simply tamed the wild beasts. Either way, this could complicate things even more than they already had been.

(So… Cheli had the highest initiative, but he was waiting for the entanglement to be cast before he attacked, thus, because Acantha is the lowest initiative, he got stuck before he could attack. It was the surprise round, so Tianna could not attack and get up at the same time. Next round though. The boy is stuck pretty badly, Riina got a good hit on the goblin, and Acantha has taken 2 hit points of damage.)

(EDIT: The green cirle is the circumference of the entangle spell.)

Drydoc, The Eye of the Dragon
Shader's Alley
Febre, Mid day

Though indeed Tanglefoot was right in the assumption that there would be thumpers waiting for him in the alleyway, his sharp eyes also spotted shadows in the balconies of the high rising apartments. There was limited space on the dock like surface that was the city of Drydoc, and as such, houses were rare. Usually the denizens of the city lived in a large building, with homes stacked up high one after another. It was a phenomenon only ever seen in Drydoc. Most of the nobles even lived in these apartments, There was only the founding tribes complex, located in the northeastern block of the city, who were privileged enough to have homes. These particular apartments had balconies that ran the length of the second and third stories. As far as Tanglefoot could tell, they were lined with archers.

It was not a thumper that greeted him however, but a rather sleek looking Sucurion Elf, whose voice was smooth as silk. He had listened most patiently as the little halfling related his concerns, faking interest with the ease of a trained handler. His shoulders gave a curious shrug, one of almost utter subservience, which evoked a sort of comfortability, even in such a tense situation. “This is a bad city to be carrying around items of value without an entourage.” He said, though it sounded more as if he were singing than holding a dialogue. “Unfortunately I haven’t seen any kobolds running past. Perhaps you were mistaken.”

Lifting his index and middle finger into the air, an alarming gesture that has Tanglefoot springing into a wary stance, looking to the heavens for oncoming arrows, the elven child of Sucurion simply pricks a smile upon his face, as the two thumpers that had accompanied him turn around and head toward the inner sanctum provided by the alley, and it’s dead end. The elf turns around as well, and begins to walk away. He stops for a minute, and turns to the halfling with a look of consideration on his face. “I think we’ve heard of you… Perhaps you would like to lodge a complaint with our guild master? I believe he is looking for new faces around here.”

‘Oh, great…’ Thinks the halfling thief. As if the danger weren’t already prevalent, stepping into the alley, as if his dilemma had given him any other options… now they wanted him to head into the belly of the beast. If they knew of him, they knew he was thieving without permission. This meant one of two things, firstly, that he would be punished, or worse, executed, or that he would be “offered” a job. An offer that would be extremely foolish to refuse. However, this could play to the young halflings advantage. If he managed to survive an encounter with the guild master, even get into his good graces, he may be able to retrieve his loot in a few days, given proper timing… and still come out ahead in the whole mess. He would have to lay low though. Elsewise the Brons may very well get to him first.

(Sorry to leave you in such a predicament. The choice is yours, though they are all fairly dangerous.)

Northern Qinxor, Province
Upon The Dragon’s Lash
Neulos, Evening

As the ogre is busy groaning about the most recent ray of frost sent searing forth by the sorcerer down below, Grugg took advantage of the distraction and landed a heavy blow into the giant’s abdomen. More bellowing ensued, but more importantly the ogre had returned his focus to the skirmish about him, his eyes turning bloodshot with fury as he looked down at the raging barbarian that was Grugg. He traded him blows, smoking his maul into Grugg’s shoulder, nearly knocking the orc off balance. The pain was excruciating, pain unlike any the orc had felt in his life. After all, he was far more accustomed to doling out punishment, rather than receiving it. Whatever puny retort anyone had against his dull brained aggression was usually miniscule in comparison.

As Grugg’s shoulder ached, more sorcerous words bellowed from below. For the third time shining orbs of light pierced the night sky, and for the third time they struck into the enemy without flaw. Much to the confusion of Grugg, however, these particular lights seemed to cause this ogre immeasurable grief, as he toppled off of the cliff, where he tumbled to his death mere feet from the dragon blooded human. Looking down at the fallen orc at his side, he noted that his breath had ceased. There was no saving him, if that thought had ever even occurred in the barbaric orc’s head. The other orc below had swallowed some vile blue drink that had seemed to cauterize the wound within his chest. He must have pulled the javelin out sometime after Grugg had charged in to face off against the other ogre.

Scanning the mountainside, Grugg did not immediately see any other “Tall men” around, though as the sky darkened he did notice that there were pinpoints of firelight all around them. He knew that they had initially been heading towards an outpost, but as far as he knew, that was the only place that possessed friendly inhabitants. All of these other lights were likely the encampments of ogres or the worse denizens of the Dragon’s Lash. Grugg more likely thought that the shiny lights in the sky had fallen…

The sorcerer moves to help up the last remaining orc fighter, and they walk up the slope towards the grievously injured Grugg, whose left shoulder looks more like a green slushie. “If we do not get to the encampment, we will likely die by morning fall. I know little of these ogres, however, I assume that if they do not return, that someone will come looking for them. Our best bet is to head up the mountain, avoiding their camps. I will rely on the eyesight of the both of you, for though I can cast light, I think it better to go without.” The sorcerer then awaits Grugg’s reply.

(Ouch, you took 14 damage. But managed to do enough alongside the sorcerer's magic missile and ray's of frost to down him. So, end of combat... and... You gained 1800 experience... which means you level up. So, you can give me an updated Character Sheet, or just pm me what you would like to sink your one skill into, and meet me in chat some time so we can roll your next hit die.)

Sorry about the lack of update info. I forgot to tell you guys that I had evolved the history page. I will do so in the future.

Grugg, I posted an update for you.

Ayrn... the first two ant creatures you see are next to each other, one carries a spear, the other does not... The huts are five feet high, one story homes made of hardened clay. The roof is flat, there is usually one window facing away from the east where the wind blows the sand about most often. No animals lying about, you can definitely hear more ant like creatures making sounds. So, 50 feet away are the two ant creatures. You are facing south. there are two huts, one 30 feet to the south east, 15 feet away from the ants, and another 10 feet away from them to the south west, 40 feet from you. (note: there are more huts, but those are the two closest to you.)

Right, the days of the week. Yimbow, Neullos, Febre, Singal, Menos, Mintao, Tantrus, and Dravos. I will update some information on the days, months, and lunar cycle.

In the South of the Dragon’s Eye
A Human Village Under Seige
Tantrus, Midnight, Two weeks earlier

The adventures of Kaz…

Though Kaz had attempted to make peace with the human denizens of the Eye of the Dragon for many months after his banishment from his mountainous homeland of Trem’Tar, he had found little success. Indeed he had often needed to flea from some of the overzealous defenders of camps along the rocky borders.

Banishment, it had seemed, was a death sentence. No matter how civil Kaz appeared, he found little support in the hateful eyes of the morgithites that lived there. He could understand their hatred, even though he felt undeserving of their gaze.

Either way this meant that he had to brave the harsh sands alone, where on a few occasions he had been nearly devoured by the worms that stalked their prey from beneath the salty earth. However, his adventures did not truly come into fruition until he had discovered a ransacked village on the southern end of the eye, when after days of being in the desert, he had decided to risk contact with the villagers so that he could obtain some water and food. He went at night, where his superior vision gave him the best chances to avoid confrontation. Conflict had already begun however, and many villagers lie dead within the dirt paths between the houses of clay.

Wretched sounds whistled through the air, unearthly sounds. He knew of goblin raids that often occurred in the eye, but they were usually on the northern mountain line, where the humans had forced the war parties to travel, now that the iris was heavily guarded by the watchtowers of Drydoc. A raid this far south was out of sync with the rest of the tribal traditions. Most marauders sought out elven ears as trophies to increase their prestige and rank in the tribes. There was little honour to be gained from the sacking of near defenceless human villages.

Then he spotted the first oddity of the evening. A small dog sized creature, that looked similar to ant, but with clawed hands that held a spear. The creatures upper torso held itself upright, though it still stood on four tendril legs. These giant ants were unfamiliar to the hobgoblin, in fact they seemed quite unnatural to him. He knew this however, that they were responsible for the destruction of the village, that the screams of woman still rang through the air, and that two of the creatures had spotted him, and were not pleased, by the sound of their incessant chattering.

(So, yeah. You have come into contact with formians raiding a human village. You can run and test your luck, but as of right now you are out of water, and nearly out of food. Also, like I said, you can hear the screams of remaining villagers, so if your character is inclined to save them, here is his chance.)

Upon the Dragon’s Lash
Grugg and his militia

As the second ogre appears, and fells the fellow orc, the sorcerer is again the first to react to the assault. This time his magic is less potent than before, however, no less effective in getting the creatures attention. As the ogre roars out in pain, the bold barbarian Grugg charges up the steep incline, coming around from the back side of the ogre, and rushes in with his club. However in his haste, he stumbles over a jutting rock in the ground and almost loses his club in the process.

The last standing orc from the team follows up with an attack, but the ogre is ready for him after hearing the commotion that grugg had made beforehand. He numbly steps aside of the blow from the large axe head, and grumbles in his predicament. Though the ogre was a big brute, they rarely preferred fighting against the odds.

This particular ogre wields a huge stick with a rock tied to the end. It was a rather rudimentary maul, that looked even more intimidating than the tree trunk that Grugg had used against his brother. Winding it backwards, he slugs it forward and smashes it into the orc soldier that had accompanied Grugg up to meet the ogre. It was enough to knock him flat, his chest compressed by the blow. It seemed to Grugg that his fellow orc’s ribs were now little more than soup.

From below another frozen ray blasts into the ogres backside, which is accompanied by the sing song snarl of the giant.

(You critically missed Grugg. But luckily the ogre decision roll decided on your double axed friend… though sadly you would have survived the blow if it had come to you.)

TRSG, please do not make me edit my post over something as miniscule as that. You said that you were going to bargain the elves for the meat no? So I assumed you would take it with you. If you are worried about combat, you can drop the meat as a free action anyhow, so it is of no consequence. Drawing a weapon for a first level druid is a movement action, but your post prior neglected to say that your weapon was drawn, which is a near moot action in the midst of diplomacy anyhow. You cannot be diplomatic with weapon in hand, it doesn't make sense. Not against a creature that usually sees you as an immediate threat anyhow.

In any case, it allows you to get one shot off, or draw your weapon and close with the enemy, which may be wise seeing as all three of them are ranged, and that brings down their accuracy when you enter combat, and you could possibly get an attack of opportunity against one of them.

But yeah... me needing to remove the meat from the equation is annoying at best. In the future, when you are bartering with goblins, meat for elves, tell me more clearly that you are not bringing the meat along. (I hope I don't sound like a jerk, it just seems irrelevant to me.)

Subject: Interesting...

The bag of eternal stench was initially a bag of holding, however, it has now become a pocket plane that is full of rotting troglodyte corpses. There is a save dc of 19 will, that if not resisted causes you to be sickened by the smell of it, the only downside is that even the user must make this save... however, because it appears to be a bag of holding, it could be placed somewhere the enemy may find it as a trap.

As for essence of rotten feet, it is an inexpensive ingredient that witches use to polymorph themselves into zombie lords when they reach the appropriate level.

Now, answer me this. What is a shrunken head of morbid brilliance?

Goblin encampment
Iodum Road, on the edge of the Paegos forest
Febre, Early Morning

A plot had been devised, and Acantha moved to the opposite side of the camp, to barter with the goblins. The whole forest cried for the end to this ludicrous scheme, however the druid believed that this could be done peacefully. He was not about to give up on the soul that all creatures possessed. Life was still a burden to discard, for any creature was it not? Guilt is a nasty little thing that eats away at you. Better to feed well on meat, than be poorly devoured by guilt.

Meanwhile within the campsite the elven ranger tussled with the young boy’s ropes, simultaneously attempting to awaken him from his unnatural slumber. She succeeded in dishevelling his bonds, and in waking him, though an unexpected circumstance occurred. When the boy awoke, he screamed out in fright. Bloody murder! Such to the point that, though Tianna had covered his mouth in a near blink of an eye, it was doubtful that none of the goblins had heard it. Tianna mind raced, cursing her bare handedness, annoyed at her lack of foresight, and worried about the things to come.

One of the goblins came to investigate the disturbance, and found the two elves huddled together. “Goy Brok Du Song Bla Voi!!!” He demanded, as though any but a goblin could have understood that gibberish. He neared them, and she was afraid that he would see that they were unbound. At this point the sentry had his handaxe at the ready, and an experienced warrior could readily dispatch her without her armaments. Luckily for her, she wouldn’t have to.

“Ahoy! Goblins! I have brought you an offering!” It was the voice of an angel to Tianna, as the goblin sentry diverted his attention immediately to fae druid. Who had held up the meat to show that he was offering them a meal. Diplomacy however, was not in the nature of these beasts. Goblins saw fae and elves as nuisances that skirmished with them whenever they were attempting to clear cut lumber for their houses and hearths, not equals to say, more like unwanted pests. He dropped his handaxe to the ground, and pulled the short bow off of his back, notching an arrow, and taking aim. The druid had alerted two other goblins, though the others were much too preoccupied around the fire, talking away to notice. These other two goblins however did much the same as the first, drawing their bows.

Oh, they would enjoy the meat to be sure, but it would be from no such parley. Why barter what you can merely take by force, they were twelve strong, and he was but one little fae.

The female killoren had seen from the beginning, as the goblin drew his bow, that things were becoming far too dire, and quickly. Her bow was ready for a scenario such as this, but it was a danger to be sure, so very outnumbered.

Tianna could reach for the axe, it was only inches away, however she still was missing her armour, and the hand axe wasn’t her favourite choice in weaponry.

Acantha would have to drop the meat he had intended to barter, and grab his weapon, losing valuable time in the fight, which he could now see was a certainty. In his mind he was also aware that the search party could be back at any moment, and from behind no less. If he was unable to end this battle quickly and quietly he would be overrun.

(Hmmm… Diplomacy doesn’t work on hostile characters. Oh and, though it may take a while for you to get up and retrieve the weapon on the ground Brianna, you will not incur an attack of opportunity as the goblin is using a ranged weapon. Anyhow, lets see what you guys do. In earnest it shouldn’t be impossible, you do have four people, everyone need only take out three goblins each… Yay for healing spells! You have an undisclosed number of rounds before the goblin search party returns. Good luck! One last thing, TRSG, I realized earlier on that your short bow would come with incurred penalties seeing as you are not proficient with it. Just thought I would let you know that before you used it… you may miss!)
