Topic: 4th edition FR Information (not for the feint hearted)

Ok, just got done with a game I was dragged into by a couple of friends.....Don't do it even for a friend. The terminology is has been changed and the books an’t cheep.
My first level Cleric could not do much and neither could my fighter what they could do was less then 3.5ed first levels. They changed the name of elves and a few other stuff already posted.
On the positive side the characters have healing surges that will gain back 7 points. And the Mage had magic missiles at will which was useful.
This new system is loosely called D&D for it has been dummied down a LOT. This could be usable as a beginner’s first taste of role playing with a D&D bent to be followed up by the real thing later. Or translated to a computer game.
It is a very different from 3.5 and earlier versions. I would classify as a new type of game that follows the classic Dungeon crawl scenario.

The singer and the Kobolds
“Hit them from different sides to confuse them. Sounds like a good option” T’puuli will softly put forth.
Then she will turn her head to see just where that awful noise of a rather questionable something of a song was coming from.
She will then add “If that noise maker is on the road he can distract the Kobolds and we can attack from the back. If he is walking towards us through the woods he needs to be silent before he gives us away.”
She will then carefully move towards the back of the group and head towards the singer. (Using her move silently and hide, she is going to get a look at the singer. She will decide the course of action of what to do when she sees who or what it is.)

The city of Los Angeles has a lot of oil under it. The La Brea Tar Pits are a surface manification of the fact and LA did start out as an oil boom town. Most of the producing wells have been closed up, Since nobody wanted to live next to one. (ick spelling bad again) and the government taxed a lot of producers out of business. The environmental laws put a lot more out as well. There are a few well left but good luck in finding them. The companies that own them have erected shells to look like office buildings around them to hide the fact. If you are lucky to buy land in LA county you would be VERY lucky to get the mineral rights for your land. If some of the old wells were opened up again it will go a long way towards reducing the price, I hope.

USS Cerberus - Deck 5, 2100 hours
Three days of working on the installations, Shiarrael is confident that the installation of the second one will go faster, now that she was familiar with Federation technology and what was needed to adapt on the devices. One day or less will now do. She was a bit surprised when the medical doctor ran down the captain to give him his medical exam.
She will politely ignore the exam taking place while she completed the modifications to the power coupling she was working on.
Returning to her room she will take a shower and get cleaned up. Grabbing her stuff she will head towards her side of the room clad in only a large wrap around, carrying her clothes, shoes and PADD.
After stowing her things she will lie down on her bed and stare at the ceiling mulling some things over She had heard that Star Fleet Captains were lazy womanizers. This one was different “Stress???? Yes, judging from the fact he was doing a good job of being everywhere at once, He must be new to the job. Unlike these people assigned to engineering at least he LOOKS like he knows what he is doing, I just might live to get back home…maybe…., this is still a suicide mission with that in mind she will sit up reach for her PADD and compose a letter to her parents letting them know that she still loves them and not to worry about her. If she does not make it home in 2 years or not write to them before then, They are to take possession of all her belongings and do as they wish. After that is done she will use the standard encryption and store the letter for later sending after they get to DS9. Getting dressed in fresh cloths Shiarrael will head to the lounge for some food and drink.

Oko will meet the group, noticing the missing Septimus and Jason. He will look at Dae, and asks the obvious “Are they not coming?” at her shrug he will take the lead rope from Zara and head to his customary place towards the back of the group, letting Dae take the lead.
This party keeps getting smaller he musses and he can not help but wonder who will be next. 2 days 4 people gone at this rate that tower will not be looked into and the Barrens could cause trouble. At least he will continue as long as he can if all else fail. In any case it is not every day one gets to ride along with 2 lovely ladies and 1 good looking teenager that show the signs of great beauty in the works.
As they ride Oko will keep an eye out for any trouble. At lunch time he will pull out the gray mare and do a tack trade and lead Shadow so he can rest and Oko can get used to the smaller horse and she to him
