Subject: monkey business


Granted .. now ... You can't get monkey's to shut up, they prank call you in the middle of the night. They start taking our jobs and teaching our children their monkey ways. The whole world goes into chaos and the international community is in an uproar because they don't understand why monkeys will not speak other languages besides English. Monkeys start telling peoples' secrets. They become superior .. because while they now speak English, we can't speak monkey. They hold secret meetings right in front of us. Darn Dirty Apes!

I wish that we worked 4 days a week and always had 3 day weekends.

Subject: Dusk Be Careful


I think our friend dusk is on the move. He reports two guards but also a trap of a room that might prove a wee problem. I think that surprise be in our favor. Perhaps a glamour of a spell might help in this case. Or a gentle dark mist rolling in might be providin' the cover we need. In any case, we best be movin' quickly if we are to keep our good pal Dusk from fightin' the lot of them on their lonesome Confundus looks at the others after sharing this information. He holds open his hands and motions for any other suggestions that might be good. The way I see it we have three options if not more. We can go in fightin' and see what kinda' whoopin we can dish out or we can go in stealth like. A third option might be to disguise our motive or our appearance as to have those dolts of orcs offer us entrance under false pretenses. In any case the only way ahead is past that trick of a gateroom and those dolts who some orc army saw fit to station here.

Subject: Gem Appraisal


As Selaro studies the gems she believes them to be worth around 600 gold in value total. The Emerald should fetch close to 400 while the two rubies 100 gold each. This is a lot of gold to simple heroes and a great reward indeed.

Subject: The Path to the Dragon


The rusty dragon lies at the southern end of town, Down main street and then market street. It is a convenience for travelers entering Sandpoint from the South. From The White Deer Inn it is basically a trek across the entire town. As our local heroes pass by the Cathedral they see Myra hop out. She has the potions in her hand as well as a few more. The temple had identified them for free and given her some extra stock. Word had travelled fast
(The Potions are two cure lights, a potion of rage and the new potions are a potion of shield of faith, a potion of remove poison and five more cure light potions)

As the local heroes traveled down church street further they came to the intersection of Main Street. Normally, Grush would have continued on down Junker's way but he decided to go with the group after a few children had come up and smiled at him. One even gave him a wooden figurine of a champion, and when Grush looked over at their parents, they just smiled at him.
(The wooden figurine is of a champion with a shield and sword in hand. It is inticately carved from mahogany)

Everywhere they passed along the way merchants stepped up to give them wares. Free bread, free cheese, free candy. Everyone cheered at them and called them heroes. As they turned down main street the Mayor herself came out to greet them. Thank you all for your bravery. We don't have much here in Sandpoint but accept these gems as a token of our appreciation and wear these medals proudly. She took a small sack and handed it to each person and placed a medal around each one's neck. It is heroes like you that we needed in this crisis and praise Desna, heroes we recieved! She smiled widly and began clapping capriciously encouraging the others to join in. The clapping echoed through the streets.
(Each sack contains a shiny emerald and two small rubies)

Continuing down main street the group at last came to the doors of the rusty dragon.

(It is up to you if you keep your medal on)

Subject: Local Heroes


Chapter 2 - Local Heroes

As the new town heroes looked around, the townspeople work their way out of hiding. If it wasn't for them, the townsfolk would be much worse off. As it is, our local heroes have saved many lives today. As these heroes, a motley crew, step over the bodies of the dead goblins, the townspeople stare and talk to one another. As Grush stood around he took off his mask. At first, Grush felt that this might be them staring at him because of his green skinn. Gorvi stood with the crowd and began to clap at his friend Grush. As he clapped, many others joined in. Soon the whole town was cheering at the new heroes. For the first time in his life Grush felt that he was welcomed. The others' spirits lifted as well. They knew they had done a great deed for the townspeople that would not easily be forgotten.

Subject: The aftermath of the Goblin Raid



Aldern, the nobleman, introduces himself to his champions. He thanks you all profusely. He especially focuses his attention on Selaro who he compliments not only on her skills as a fighter but also on her beauty. He glances about nervously for more goblins but sees only dead ones. He informs the local heroes that he is staying at the Rusty Dragon to the south for a couple days and he would love to talk with them more and perhaps reward them properly for saving his life.

The battle has been won for the town. The goblins flee to the north in droves, in some cases leaping off cliffs to certain death rather than be captures. Several of the little menaces in fact, are captured alive but prove useless when interrogated; none seeming to know more than that they were given orders to kill everyone in the town and burn the place to the ground. They can't even remember who the leader was except that it was a "longshank" (goblin term for human)

Round 13 is up ..

Grush - I need a will save from you or you are dazed for the next round and also Grush I changed your attack to a different warrior and you killed it .. so the remaining warrior is on the board .. looks like 2 warriors and the warchanter and the commander remain after round 12

I fixed a few things that i had messed up .. make sure things are right now in the combat .. and Selaro is definitely a woman so make sure to refer to her as such.

Subject: Message in the dark


As Dusk begins to move Confundus steps up .. in a whisper he calls out to him. May this spell provide us with much needed reconnaissance. Confundus takes out a short piece of copper wire and after saying a brief word in undercommon; Dusk, the Drow and himself gain a strong perseption of each others words. It seems now that all three of them can hear one another even at the lowest whisper and from a long distance.

I hope there are orcs indeed confundus thought to himself They are so weak minded and easy to play around with

Well met sir dusk .. and Rothrar me mighty friend. As said befor', I am Confundus .. Fundus to me friends A bit frustrated at the giant before him having to repeat his name yet again when he was in earshot the whole time but nonetheless, glad to have him on his side and not the other. I think we will make a fine team as we traverse these here dark halls. Each one in his own way shall aid in the journey. And if we be needin' a glamor along the way, I'll be glad to provide the touch o' magic we need

Confundus bowed to his new companions, smiled once again at the lady and straightened his backpack, fastening it tightly against his back. All set then or are we waitin' fer more?

This is gonna be an interesting trek indeed

nice to meet ye as well replies the small voice of a gnome as he dusts himself off after a bumpy landing. Speaking in undercommon as well. I too speak the language of the dark, I am, after all, a deep gnome .. in a manner o' speakin'

Confundus peers around familiarizing himself. I dunno know if I've been to this part of the underdark before. I don't recognize it .. but I be getting forgetful in me old age Confundus chuckles at himself and extends a hand to his fellow adventurers.

Confundus, just Fundus to me mates. Nice to meet ya. and might I say the company of such a beautiful lady will surely make this journey all the more enjoyable

Confundus turns next to the half ogre. Might you be a tall one and quite the brute too I'd imagine. We'll be needin' yer might for sure down here friend.

Confundus steps up to the portal after finishing his glass. Always been a fan of Elminster and always been a fan of adventure so why not Looks like you'll be needing a focused mind if yer gonna map out that place .. I'll be glad to join ye on this fine quest

Alright .. Post Round 10 and after for this combat titled Goblin Commando under this post. The majority of you (all of you coming from the other encounter will take a full round to get here so that will use up the majority of your round 10. You will be able to join in the combat on round 11. Our new wizard is already here so he can act during round 10 as he pleases. Make a new post for this combat below here

Goblin Commando - Die, Dog, Die! (This is EL3 so careful!)

The party arrives on the scene, short of breath from running, and notices a nobleman surrounded by goblins. Most of them cower back from the action until the Goblin Commando steps up with his whip and dogslicer and strikes the man's hunting dog to the ground. The goblins throw up a cheer and more goblins emerge from hiding. They are too distracted by the kill to see the approaching group of local heroes. Upon seeing his dog die, the nobleman falls to his knees and begins to weep

Round 11 Synopsis:
The commander and one of his fiercest comrades turns to face the new arcane threat. The goblin commander nearly lays a mortal wound on the wizard while his warrior swings wildly at the hot air. They both step up to challenge the wizards next move. His next move is to launch a volley of two force missiles from him hands pounding the commander in the chest with strong force. Other goblins step back in fear while the warchanter takes a charge from behind and startled by it, shrinks back behind his goblin allies. One turns around to face the attackers with his dogslicer in hand. Selaro attacks the warrior in front of her slicing through him and hitting his vitals dropping him to the ground. From the rear of the battlefield, Welbry launches an arrow at the goblin commander. Unforunately he is hard to hit as he is in combat and the arrow falls to the side glancing off the Commando's thickened barkskin hide.

Welbry fires a second arrow. This time his arrow flies true and strikes the Commando finding its way through his thick skin. The commando grunts, reaching back and breaking the arrow off his back. Selaro steps up easily finishing off one of the Goblin warriors challenging her. The goblin coughs up blood as he falls over on the ground in a rappidly growing puddle of red. Grush swings at a second warrior impaling him sending him flailing wildly and falling over in a dead heap.

Round 13 Synopsis
The commando, bleeding profusely takes her potion and heals her wounds. She sighs in relief only for it to be shortlived as a quarterstaff smacks her upside the head. The pain is so great that she blacks out before she hits the ground and dies. Selaro attacks once again but this time is unsuccessful. The remaining two goblins seeing the warchanter fall to the ground drop their weapons and turn tail to run. Welbry's arrow falls short again. Myra stands defensively ready to heal if needed (Attacks of opportunity for one running goblin that is next to you if you like)
