Topic: Return To Zork
Subject: Dragon

The dragon is currently in your inventory
You take it out of your backpack and examine it carefully. It is made of jade and carved to look like a Chinese Dragon. You are sure that it is valuable but are unsure of what that value might be. The statue is almost flawless and has a remarkable beauty to it

The coins appear to be normal silver and copper pieces.

Peering into the hole in the wall you look outside and see the woods to the north of the cottage. The trees are large and numerous and thick foliage covers the forest floor.

Subject: Pie Pie Pie!

You frantically search the room for pie! i know there must be a pie in here somewhere. but .. no .. there is nothing .. not even a crumb of crust to be found. Seriously .. you think to yourself .. who doesn't keep pie?

Subject: OK .. you crazy man!

For some unknown reason .. you go berserk. Since you decided to tidy up the room .. you feel like the only way to make things "even" would be to mess up this one. Its only fair. So you empty out the cubards on the ground .. sending food and pots and pans flying about. In a fit of rage, you completely tear off one of the cabinet doors and send it flying across the room putting a hole through the kitchen wall.

A Cottage Kitchen

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
The cottage kitchen is cozy. Unlike the rest of the house the kitchen seems to be untouched by vandalism. Perhaps whoever was searching the house found what they wanted before they got to this room. There are several cabinets, a pantry and a wood stove for cooking.

Obvious Exits: West

Special Note: You may return to a room you have already visited by saying GOTO X where X is the name of the room. There is a map on the Zork Notebook link which lists the rooms by number

Searching under the mattress reveals nothing special. It does appear as if there is a slight indention in the mattress. Whatever was there before has been taken.

You look out the window and see a small clearing and a tall oak tree in the middle. The woods surround the clearing

You search the room and find some loose change inside one of the pockets of an article of clothing. You find a total of 2 silver coins and 5 copper coins. You also find a small jade statue of a chinese dragon underneath the clothing. in the floor of the wardrobe.

*what do you want to do with the items you find .. leave them or take them?*

A Cottage Bedroom

This room is less disturbed. The wardrobe is wide open and clothes are strewn all over the ground. The bed appears to be undisturbed except for a crooked matress. There is an window here. This was obviously the place where the owner slept.

Cottage Living Room

oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Inside the cottage living room is a wreck. It is as if someone has come in here and thrown things about in a fury as if looking for something. The floor is covered with books and papers and the chairs are overturned. The doors to the east and west are wide open. A desk drawer has been completely taken out of the desk and lies broken on the floor.

Ok .. You try to open the front door and find that it is unlocked. It opens right up revealing an exit to the North into the cottage.

We are using the 4d6 roll 6 times .. drop the lowest d6 from each roll .. and place where you want .. If the average of all your scores is less than 11 you should do a reroll if it is more than 14 you should do a reroll .. this is just to ensure there are no gods and no real loser characters. So .. in other words the average of all your stats should be between 11 and 14 .. using this method the avg character should typically be around 12.3.
