Topic: Whom Gods Annoy - Q/A Subject: The Dearly Departed (And Forgotten) Kumadel. Player: Philosopher A valiant Killoren dragon shaman, Kumadel bravely rushed an attacking pirate ship and distracted the pirates long enough for a party member to loose a fireball in her general direction, ending the combat but blowing the poor warrior to smithereens. Later revived after a visit of to a local church, Kumadel stayed behind as the other left. Nebulos. Player: Devalero The very same mage who killed Kumadel with friendly fire (literally fire) never quite came to terms with what he did to the fey out at sea. Upon arriving on land again he parted with the group, never to be seen again. Jiminous Mintous. Player: Suicidolt A black hearted necromancer brought in as a mercenary to assist the church, Jiminous was laid low by Rakdos the vampire as he attacked the party. Jiminous threw a multitude of spells at the undead, drawing its attention away and onto himself. After he was killed, Rakdos escaped with his body without a trace. Posted on 2008-01-06 at 18:07:31. Topic: Whom Gods Annoy - Q/A Subject: The Story So Far... Initially onboard a sailing vessel, the party is attacked by pirates not far from their desperation. Combat is joined and quickly ended from Nebulos's Fireball, which not only utterly destroyed the pirates and their ship but also took the life of Kumadel. Upon the recovery of Kumadel's body from the now sinking pirate ship by Katriana, the group was requested by the captain of their ship for assistance in delivering some cargo which he believed was the reason for the attack. The party agrees, with Lherial trying to assert himself as sort of a "face" for the party, much to Raen's chagrin. The party lands at their destination and heads off with the cargo to meet Kaene a high ranking church official in the temple of Magnagoth along with Jiminous a necromancer and Raiel an elven ranger. No sooner to they deliver the item when Rakdos an ancient vampire attacks the group, killing Jiminous before escaping with his body. Kaene then explained the story of the War of the Gods and revealed the cargo they had fought so hard to protect was a relic of Magnagoth and one of the keys to unleashing the evil of Arcanaloth upon the world again. The group agreed to head north to investigate a possible attempt on another relic. Meanwhile, far to the north, a small group composed of Iskanna a cleric of Carselt, and a pair of mercenaries named Toby and Chancer were scouring the mountains for a group of thieves who had previously attempted to loot the nearby temple.
