Unless I'm mistaken Tristan was a Favored Soul straight out of the rulebooks. Unless you mean whatever you're adding. In which case I have no idea.
Only one fish so far.

Sorry forgot to mention, level 8's cool. So level 8, 27,000 gold.
Ayrn: All those characters are cool, though I will say the nature of the artifact is mysterious and relatively unknown, even by your employers. Race wise Elan/Half-Ogre are good but I'd rather not have kobolds. The major races of Jamaara are listed in here and offer several variants on the base races. Also Pelor->Setus in the local pantheon, but that's just a name swap essentially.
Shield: Other than a flavour shift of wild elf -> forest elf that druid sounds cool. Malahatag is mostly known for its orc threat but the diversity of its predators is vast and unknown.
Chess: Not a huge fan of the shade blade to be 100% honest with, but it reminds me of the Shadowcaster. Whaddya think?
Tann & Nomad: Any combination of classes are fine, but I will advise a balanced party, looking forward to your ideas!
Again, if you guys want to collab and have past relationships with your chars feel free, otherwise you all mingle and bond(?) on the boat.

Topic: Fortune's Favoured Q&A Subject: Right
So my aim is to be up and running with this by the end of the week. Also I'm going to be leveling you guys up to level 5 for the new start to account for the time skip.
This is your chance to teardown/remake your characters if you don't like them, because after this I plan to have them running about for a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time.
Characters are in the character thread if you've lost them. You can submit a level 5 version or just tell me what you take for the level/skills/feats and I'll edit it in.
Oh and you each get an additional 4,000 gold, or if you're remaking you start with 9,000. This will account for the rewards in the time skip. Feel free to post here or pm any questions/concerns/pictures of fish I'll be checking frequently to get this rolling.

Topic: Looking for your input on my potential input Subject: The hook
The general idea was you're going to be in the employ or at least hired to recover a possible lost artifact discovered by a since uncommunicative scholar expedition on the orc infested jungle continent of Malahatag. While individuality is awesome at the start your characters have agreed to complete this job for the reward offered (your motives of course vary) and you'll be at least knowing one another, as you gathered in Lochgate on the continent of Caledon and will be starting the game in the final part of a boat voyage to the jungle, giving you time to meet one another (if you didn't know each other before, feel free to collab). Was thinking of starting at level 7.
All geographic/map info can be found here.
Interested in hearing your guys' thoughts.

Topic: Looking for your input on my potential input Subject: alright alright alright
So with Fortune back on that group can start using the Q&A over here. This thread's going to be organizing the "new" game.
With Ayrn that gives us 4 for a second party, I'd be alright with 5 (symmetry?) so we'll leave this open over the weekend for anyone out there on the fence. Chessic in his eternal enthusiasm has offered to play in both games so if no one else is interested so Party2 is greenlit!
So, as to the actual starting level/etc, I'd like some input from you guys before that's set in stone. Any of Tann, Nomad, Shield or Ayrn have any preferences? What kind of characters did you have in mind? I've got a bit of a hook forming but I'll open up the floor before I dive in on that.

For clarity, there will be a bit of a time skip. Re-firing this engine will take a spark obviously, and I'll be putting you right back in the flow to hopefully get things moving and tear the rust off. It won't be much in game time but forcing people to remember where their head was at 2 years ago is rough. This also depends slightly on returning characters. 5/5 or 4/5 makes it easy. 3/5 and lower I get creative.
Creative means deadly, right?

As if I needed too be reminded why I love this board, it's been what, 12 hours? You guys are the best. THE BEST. Da Bes.
Original FF Crew: Unless Inn-slang has evolved it seems you want to keep doing what we were doing. I want that too. Sympatico. We can more or less pick up where we left off. If people want to change characters we can work on that too, please discuss.
Tann, Shield and Nomad: I guess I'm running two games now. If you guys are game (and I get 1-2 more players, call your friends) I think it'd be super-dee-duper cool to run two separate games, in the same world, with different arc, possibly coalescing at appropriate times (because shared universes, so hot right now).
To the "unbalancing extraplanar Thanos rocket tag laser fight": That sounds pretty dope admittedly, and I'm willing to hear individual homebrews and changes but I would more or less like to keep it "in the rules", if only because for me personally, having limits on characters provides them chances to overcome those limits, and I believe there's currently enough "official" supplements to the game that if I dive deep enough I think I can help you build anything you'd like. My goal is to keep this going long enough to level to the point where the scale is global/extraplanar/Pandasinspace and I like the idea of being able to look back at the early parts of the story and say "Look how little we were" before one of you german suplexes a giant plane devouring hell-bear into a pair of twin suns.
Thoughts?

So I want to run a game. Unfortunately that's as far as I've got. I do want interested players, so it makes sense to do something people are interested in. So I've got some options:
A) D&D Fantasy. Cookie cutter by the numbers RPing. Would be 3.5e because I'm a dinosaur, but a less dinosaur-y dinosaur then saaaaay...Olan. If enough previous players want me to reboot Fortune's Favoured or something, that works too.
B) Something superhero-y. Probably Mutants and Masterminds. Probably irreverent and inversely perversely wildly referential. I don't know what that sentence means, roll with it.
C) Something more freeform. Pandas? There could be pandas. This one's mostly for show.
D) I just keep playing tic-tac-toe with Brom in Q&A threads.
Probably looking for 4-5 players, I'd do the number crunching but familiarity with systems is always nice. Looking at around 1/week posts because I'm typing slower than ever before. Huzzah.
Anyhow lemme know.

The Applaud/Smite functions are a (PURELY FOR FUN!) way to show you approve/disapprove. You're limited to one per user per thread so while you could continuously smite Ody for picking the Browns, you would have to dig through his post log and do subsequent smites elsewhere.
Because come on, really. The Browns?
