Art: Lyra Logan (hobolyra)

Olan's thoughts for this strip:
The players grow frustrated with Steve; they're ready to get this climactic battle over with, already. What kind of DM would he be if he didn't throw annoying obstacles in their way?

This will be our final strip with Lyra's art, so let me take the opportunity to thank her for the wonderful contributions that she has made to Loaded Dice. Best of luck to you in all your endeavors, Lyra!

Annick Huber takes over next week as the new artist for Loaded Dice.

Script for this strip:
Faustus: "He's getting away! After him!"

Ray: "Rich, heal mister tactical genius here, then you guys catch up."
Brad: "Will the healing unfreeze me?"
Tim: "Doubtful - it's magical. But hey, Ray's guy thawed pretty quickly."

Steve (narrator): "Two of the skeletal monks move in between you and the retreating ice haunt. You will have to fight them to continue the chase."

Ray: "Aw, c'mon! Come back and fight like a man! Er..."
Brad: "Like a frozen zombie monster."
Tim: "Yeah, like that."

Amy: "So, the DM is slowing us down."

Ray: "Yep. More mooks before we can get to the big bad guy."
Brad: "Big surprise, there."

Rich: "Somebody needs to tell those skeletons that we have a bone to pick with the ice haunt, not with them!"

Steve: "That does it, Rich... you leave us no choice. DICE SHOWER!"

Rich: "Ow! C'mon, guys... cut it out. Those D4 corners hurt!"
