Olan's thoughts for this strip:
Ah, yes - the joy of finding a clue. One should always give credit to the words of a dead man, right? Of course, that is assuming that the dead man had some idea of what he was talking about...

Script for this strip:
Steve (narrator): “This was once the room of someone important in the monastery. The furniture of the room is of a good quality, and the floor is covered with carpets to keep out the cold.”

Steve (narrator): “Beside the bed alcove is a small table holding a few pieces of parchment and an oil lamp.”

Amy: “So it doesn’t look like this room was disturbed?”
Steve: “Only by the frost.”
Tim: “Interesting.”
Ray: “What’s on the papers?”

Steve (narrator): “The parchments seem to be pages of a diary written in a forceful hand. Only the last page has survived in a legible state. It is dated almost a year ago to the day.”

Letter contents:
“10th Trevack, 451 E.R.
I know him for who he is ... Solanis have mercy on my soul, for it is I who have brought this curse upon us! Thus it is up to me to save us... those who are still alive... whether it is the light or the heat of it he fears I know not, but my trap shall give him plenty of both tonight.”
