Ray: "Okay, so we know that the big bad guy likes the cold."
Tim: "He hates warmth enough to put the furnace out."
Rich: "The monks were going to set a trap with fire and light, right?"
Amy: "Right, so we need to use fire."
Brad: "What are we supposed to do, beat him with torches?"

Rich: "What about the lamp oil in the basement?"
Ray: "Bingo!"

Amy: "If Dalana wraps her arrowheads with oil-soaked rags, those should work as flaming arrows, right?"
Steve: "Sounds reasonable. You won't be able to shoot as often, since you'll have to light them."

Rich: "If that works, then Ladan should be able to put oil into waterskins and throw them like grenades."

Steve: "I don't see why not."
Brad: "So, Aranion can dunk his sword in oil, and use it to..."

Steve: "No. Nice try, though."

Brad: "Oh, well. It was worth a shot."
