Ancient Bones

Greatest terror, horror bearer,
Burning in the night.
Inspiring fear in those who near,
Casting all to flight.
All alone, like weathered stone,
Immune to heroes might.
As he flies, rips the skies,
Fantastic in his flight.
Greatest terror, story bearer,
A thousand tales are told.
Yet remains, fore'er the same,
Ne'er ages, nor grows old.
They purchase place within our race,
Unbought, yet to us sold.
Foreign thought, found unsought,
Accepted in our fold.

~In honor of the dragon's Oriental origins
