Dragon Tear

In trying darkness, in soaring flight,
In all the life that breeds the fight,
As pure as day, as cold as night,
He lives of mind so clear.
 

 

Yet he is hunted all the while,
Every meal becomes a trial,
They seek his skin, teeth, blood and style,
And so he lives in fear.
 

 

Yet he waits the coming day,
When all the fear shall fade away,
When once again with man he'll stay,
In harmony and cheer.
