Orcs, Red Dragons, Fighting Trees ..... well, he DID want an adventure!

The previous plan seems OK to Rat, but perhaps there is now no reason to ride the hour back since we have already had the "talk".

Should we take our dogs and head out. We can make the log camp an hour after nightfall. While the Orcs are not the real issue, getting rid of them will make things easier, upset some of the "opponents'" plans, give us time to strengthen, and ...........

Subject: As they prepare to move out

Rat does a trap check on the scroll and everything else in the satchel, and presuming AOK, he gives it to "the boss" to read and share as appropriate. Rat also quickly goes to each adventurer, giving them 17 Zhent gold pieces, telling them ..."carry your own booty, pal, unless you want to give it to me." He zips off a dozen one-hand push-ups and about the same sit-ups, goes and spits on a dead orc, and hops up into the assigned wagon for the trip. He sheathes his short sword and makes sure his sling is ready in hand. He is ever alert. He whistles "Proud Mary" as he enters the wagon. He is "feelin' good." he wonders to himself "When do we eat?"

It surely seems as though we are being "lead" back to town by the adventure, or being forced toseparate completely. With the case/info we have, I am wondering if maybe we should head back for info????? Or - let's go find Hammer's Oracle? or we could really be "bad" and tell the man we are taking all carts and men and moving on. (Like, who's in charge here?)

I await more educated thoughts .........

I will split the gold and pass it out rather than hold it.

that termination of employees is one of the hardest tasks to face. It is surprisingly difficult on a manager. Be well.

is beefing up both physically and mentally.
over 1000 push ups and sit ups since last post
all under the cart
huff, puff ....
mentally took a fast wagon cart back to town to vote
helped keep things close

in good physical shape but wavering mental state
HE NEEDS SOME ACTION

that heading back to town is just not what was in store .... why waste time on a storyline that misdirects from the very beginning ..... something is out there .... weird trees ..... orcs ....... a Hammer Hing vision ..... a camp where he was originally headed ..... he thinks the TC is in front of him rather than behind

but poor ole Rat, being the little inauspicious guy that he is, will go along with the "team" no matter how wrong they may be .....

pats Anvil on the back and says, "You know, Chief, that as our chosen-for-the-moment leader, you probably have more of a burden than an honor. Especially with this rag-tag crew! But yu da man!" He goes on to explain that he is glad Anvil is the leader, and he is glad that these are Anvil's burdens ....
1. Coordinate actions amongst varying action thoughts
2. Referee/deciding vote when needed - maybe too often
3. Gets/has to post for all, and prod others to post
4. Gets "dumped on" to speak for/run characters whose "boss" is too lazy or out-of-pocket.

"But you know, Chief, that any of us will help in any way we can. Thanks for being there."

hops to his task, scurrying around to all the dead, both friend and foe, and checking each for booty, interesting items, and intelligence. He does it quickly, but thoroughly, with the intent that any valuables are fairly shared with the "team" at the appropriate time.

He holds his trusty shortsword and uses it as a tool of investigating, having it ever ready if dangerous actions occur.

He lightly whistles "Dream The Impossible Dream" while he focuses on his work.

Subject: Rat thinks (Yes, he can!)

Hammer - there seemed to be no urgent requirement listed in your "dream". I do not think it HAS to be done, nor sensed an immediate urgency, now based on what I read.

Where to go - I really think heading on to where we were supposed to be heading will provide the most intelligence (meaning information/clues) for the adventure.

Helping/fixing/healing (even temp)/searching/gathering/assuring the woodsmen left are with us ... seem to clearly be of first order

After helping/searching - assuring wagon is aok, I say head for the camp; the probability is that the camp and Hammer's vision are in close relationship and whatever is "in the woods" is related to both.

I DO NOT think we should separate. The last fight would not have been successful without all the party's assets.

Besides, it is more fun traveling as a group.

All that said, once again (not that it impacted things last time) I am heading to non-internet land. As of appx 7AM Fri through the end of election day, I will be on the road, with minimal or no access, although access is better the last half of this trip.) In all cases, if action is needed from me then, Captain Anvil is authorized to vote me and/or generate my actions. I hope we can make some quick decisions as to what we are going to do NOW, and I can post before I leave.

head out as reasonably quick as possible

NICE SLEEP SPELL!

Did we gain any experience? And soon we will know if any booty.

that he could quickly sling one of the orcs "down" at the back of the wagon.

the concern on the top of the wagon for T'sal with three orcs up there, might be a priority, though?

Thoughts?

Anvil, your stated actions, of course, makes perfect sense.

How could he have missed with that sling, he wonders?

Actually the blurring is because he is having a hard time figuring out who is where and what is left and in what condition ..... we need a reckoning summary real bad (or a beer!)(Anvil already grabbed the Yellowstone and poured it on his wounded leg! Damned dwarves - gotta hold their hand for everything .......)

has no idea what to roll, but copying Darque, he has .....

Personal Init: 1d6 = 5

If attacking with sling: 2d20 = 10, 14 (presuming sling and bow work same?)

Arrow Damage (if they hit): 2d8 = 5, 2

agrees with all else, please tell us old folk which die to roll, and when .....

after all, now that I am retired, my wife is telling me which die to roll, what to wear, where to go, etc, etc, etc

If Rat slinks, it will be close to the cart - e.g. underneath, hidden by the wheel from the taller orc vision? He really wants to stick it to one!
