Topic: The Lost Mine of Phandelver Q&A Subject: name
I'm reading a story called the Charnel Prince that has a character named Pavel. I just thought that was funny.

I would probably recommend Pavel. He's a fighter and is the tankiest guy. He also has the highest perception of the group, though he's not proficient in it.
edit: You both have the same perception, for the record, at least at your current level.

Topic: The Lost Mine of Phandelver Subject: More bad news
Pavel and Dane check up and down the road a ways, searching for anything that may be suspicious.
Checking the road for tracks, you would say that you don't see anything that leads you to believe that Gundren and Sildar proceeded ahead on foot, though you're not sure, at first, if that's just because the tracks have been covered through natural or intentional means.
However, as you continue searching through the brush and forest, you see signs of more goblins, especially on the north side of the trail. You find tracks of at least a dozen different people (probably goblins) as well as marks in the ground that make it seem as if they were dragging something behind them (possibly a person). It leads to the forest trail the retreating goblin ran down.

Topic: The Lost Mine of Phandelver Subject: Ominous Findings
As you both slow down and watch the goblin escaping, you see it heading towards a trail to the northwest. He doesn't look back, kicking up some dust as he flees down the forest path.
Now that the excitement seems to have settled, at least for now, Oskarr and Dane return to the ambush area and can get a good look at the dead horses. It's clear: These horses belonged to none other than Gundren Rockseeker and Sildar Hallwinter. You can tell both by the horses, though they have been dead for at least a day, and by the saddles (one bears Gundren's family crest and the other a symbol that you may have seen before but can't quite place). It's obvious that the arrows protruding out of the dead horses are what killed them.
It's also clear that the goblins have probably been using this area to stage raids on unsuspecting travelers for some time. You gather this from the rubbish such at arrowheads and shafts, random bones, pieces of clothing, etc, which you spotted in the thicket as you went through it. Unnoticeable from the road, but easily seen once you brave through the brush.
Looking through the dead goblins bodies, it's clear that two of them are dead. One is still breathing, the one with quarrel through its ribs. But it is unconscious and not long for this world. If you wanted to keep it alive for some reason, it would take some doing.
None of the goblins have anything of value on their person.

So you're saying you're both gonna give it one more try, or that you're both going to stop chasing? And if you're going to stop chasing, are you going to go back to the dead horses?
I feel like that info is worth a post, but you can always just say what you're going to do ooc here.

I rolled for the two of you and the goblin and they were alll bad rolls. So there was no change. Its a dexterity check, which is the highest stat for a goblin: they're quick abnd sneaky.

Topic: The Lost Mine of Phandelver Subject: The chase begins
Oskarr and Dane chase after the quick little goblin into the brush, which gets thicker as they proceed. The goblin is quick, but in his haste he trips up on a root, almost tripping and falling before recovering and running again.
Oskarr and Dane are running behind, the goblin still in there view as they chase him through the forest, Oskarr's chainmail clinking as he jogs, Dane's longer strides putting him a little bit ahead of the dwarf.
Pavel watchings over the wagon and scene, crossbow at the ready, no enemies in sight thus far.

Topic: The Lost Mine of Phandelver Q&A Subject: Ok then
So it's a three person campaign as of right now. I sent both Schnozzle and Chessic pms my last post and haven't received a response.
I understand about the frequency, but I was trying to be respectful to our slower posters, and also pretty much everyone told me at the beginning when I joined this site to EXPECT slow posts. One person told me that a Dm posting twice a week was incredibly fast, so I kind of took that as my guideline.
Online games are like that from past experience as well. It always takes a degree of attention and mental effort to post, and even if a post isn't long, it doesn't mean it's not carefully considered.
Also, not long after I started this game I started a new relationship and it's actually been eating up a lot of my time (though in a good way). Not making an excuse, but just saying I have less free time than I anticipated when I started this game.
With less people, I'll see what I can do about increasing the post frequency. I'll create a new post within the next day or two.
Post order makes sense for battle purposes, and it's actually in the rules. It doesn't matter so much outside of battle.

Skovl and Chessic can go.
I might send another pm to schnozzle to see if that gets his attention.
Just seems weird that I'd have to send pms to these guys when until this game started they were signing on here pretty regularly o.o
Like, to me, if it's been a week since I've posted, in the recently updated cue or not, I'd find the thread to see if I missed something.

I wouldn't say that song is representative of my musical tastes, I'm more of a metal, hard rock, punk fan. It has a little sentimental value though and it's about clearings one throat.
Padre: Yep, you're up,
At this point, you can shoot another arrow, or chase after him. I'll try and figure out a roll for that if that's what you want to do. Probably some kind of dexterity contest.
If you don't catch up to him this round, he'll escape, at which point you can try and track him down or decide what you wanna do next.

As Dane launches the arrow at the goblin, a gust of wind throws of it's trajectory enough to cause it collide into tree in the goblins' direction. His running is undisturbed

Oskarr goes next. Then Theren can take an action but he cant attack because he's too far away for melee and there are too many people in the way for a ranged attack

Topic: The Lost Mine of Phandelver Subject: Stabbed in the back
The two goblins are distracted by Oskarr's offer to accept a surrender and hesitate, the blades in their hands wavering. Dane, in the meantime, dashes up to the scene in a flash, and the goblin closest to him doesn't realize it until it's too late - the blade of Dane's rapier bursts out of the front of his chest, and he looks down in surprise before quickly dying.
The other goblin squeaks, dropping his scimitar and running for his life towards the brush.
