Subject: What you know about eachother

You know eachother's first names, and whatever you may have gleaned from looking at that person's physical appearrance. If you think your character would have shared more information, you should include that probably in the introductory post so that, well, they know

The dragon of the inn will burn you to a crisp?

And whats immediately important is marching order and what your character is doing, though introductory info is fine to add if you wish

I made a first post. I guess just decide what your characters are doing and then we'll proceed.

Fyi, I did made a Q and A threat, in addition to this, as seems to be protocol here

Prologue:

"I'm no fool, Sildar," Gundren said mirthfully to his companion. "I talk with every man I hire. Look in his eyes. The eyes tell you everything. You oughta know such things."

As the two rode side by side along the trail, Gundren passed the waterskin full of strongwine to his companion. Sildar took it, and hesitated. The old warrior's mood was a bit more sour than Gundren's. But then, it wasn't dififcult to be more sour than Gundren. He said, "Well, my eyes are as good as yours, friend, and I can see that the bunch could have been of better character. Hiring the priest was shrewd, I'll grant you. But Elven monks are unreliable allies in the best of times. And that mountain dwarf? I could have sworn I saw him talking to himself when he came into the pub." He put the waterskin to his lips and drank deep.

"Haha!"said Gundren. "Those mountain dwarves are strange folk. When you coop yourself up in a mountain all day, who else ya gonna talk to? Haha! He's a good sort though, I can tell." The dwarf stroked the top of his beard pensively. "That one who said he came from Luskan though, he ain't trustworthy, but Oskarr'll keep an eye on'em. He'll keep an eye on'em all! Haha! And the priest too! That boy's msucles got muscles! He prolly eats stones fer breakfast! Haha!"

Handing the waterskin back to the dwarf, Sildar sighed. "I hope you're right. This business with Iarno is worrying me, and if they prove they can handle caravaning, perhaps they can help us if there is any trouble in town."

"Pah! Trouble? Ain't no trouble in Phandalin we can't handle! I bet he just-What was that...?"

Gundren and Sildar:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter 1:

You were recruited by a dwarf named Gundren Rockseeker to bring a wagonload of provisions to the town of Phandalin. He started ahead of you with his warrior escort, Sildar. Gundren was tangibly excited, but when pressed about what he needed to attend to in town, he simply said, "some business." In any case, he was clearly in a rush to leave while the supplies were being gathered.

You've spent the past few days travelling the High Road south from Neverwinter [see map in QA thread], and you've recently veered east along the Triboar Trail. You haven't encountered any trouble yet, but you do know that bandits often lurk along this road. The provisions are being carried in a large wagon that is pulled by two oxen.

Gundren gave instruction that Oskarr and/or Pavel should drive the wagon, though only one person needs to operate the reins to keep the wagon moving. The rest of you may be riding in the wagon, or traveling alongside it afoot, or wherever you wish to be in relation to the wagon, at your discretion.

Oskarr: The only thing Gundren shared with you about what he was excited about, if you pressed him, is a slap on the back and the words: "Something big."

Subject: Madness

I'm playing a real life game in which one of the players was playing a crazy character, and for some reason took it personally when me and another player (me totally in character, the other guy a bit too much out of character) didn't like his character, even though he was actively trying to sabotage the party at some point.

I think the one or two players working against the rest of the party thing can work, but everyone has to realize it's just a game and that there's no winning in dodgeball/roleplaying games. Also, if you're working your party, and the other characters figure this out, the other characters reserve the right to dispatch your character with extreme prejudice with minimal consequences.

Just so we know, I will be denoting spoiler text like this:

It's crazy how much more flexible spellcasting is for a cleric than it is for a warlock

Subject: So

Oskarr is updated. So it Dane, I forgot to switch a key stat on Nomad's sheet.

So I'm assuming Skovl, Dane, and Oskarr are currently finalized.

I'd like Chessicfayth and Padre just to give their final word on that as well when they can. Either way, unless they want to make major changes out of the blue, I think I'm ready to make a first post, so I'm going to start thinking about that. I'm hoping to do this by Monday, but we'll see how it goes.

You're absolutely right.

Sorry. Honestly, if I had been in charge or organizing the 5e handbook, I would have done it much differently. The stat info is oddly spread out throughout the chapter, instead of all being in one spot.

My brain pronounced it as al-luh-bain, which i still think sounds good, but not as good a testament to Skovl's ability to pound the brewskies.

Well, i think you had too many spells prepared. When I was looking at the book last night, i thougjt it said you only get two level one spells slots at level one. So i think that means you can only have two prepared.

While I do want you guys to be able to glance at eachother's character sheets just for reference, keep in mind that your character doesn't know most of the information on them.

For example, the information in bonds, traits, etc, or Skovl is not necessarily known to Pavel, unless Skovl decided to share it with him, or if Pavel learns this by observing Skovl, or reading his diary, etc.

Finalizing the last character sheet. After that's done, as I said before, I'll post all the character sheets here for review, so you guys can make sure what I have is right, or in case you want to make any last minute changes.
