Topic: Continuing Where We Last Left Off Subject: Ok so Roger was right we are not dead................Yet LOL
As Maximus listened to the voice of the female laughing, his attention on finding its source, he was almost caught off guard when a force grabbed at the Vorpal Sword in his hand. His strength built over the long years in the arena did not fail him as he held on. “I want the pretty!”
Saying nothing Maximus’s greater strength seemed to prevail as the force released the sword, only to attempt to grab it once more. However this time the big man was ready and had no trouble fending off the second attempt.
“Naughty boy!”
“Show yourself Demon and face me, then try to take my sword if you can!!”
Standing ready, the sword held strongly, Maximus waited for something to fight................

Topic: Voyages of the Rocinante - Firefly RPG QnA Subject: Nope I got a complaint
I did not say my statement to Pearson load enough for the sheriff or anyone else to hear. Case in point my wording from my post.
Seeing that they would need the mule to carry the body back to the Rocinante Wolf turned back towards the passenger filled carrier, pausing only long enough to pass on some (low voiced advice) to Pearson
So he would not of heard me make it unless he was standing right next to me.

Ok Roger sent me a PM asking if my sword was drawn and the what happened during the replies made me laugh so I thought I would it share it with everyone in the game.
Sorry Roger I just had too ................
Quote:
Does Maximus have his sword drawn or in sheath?
Oh shit, its drawn........................
Were dead arn't we
STOP THAT! NO ONE IS DEAD. NEXT PERSON WHO SAYS "WE'RE DEAD" is DEAD. When something eventually happens, I need to know what weapon you have ready - that's it. No conspiracy.

Topic: Continuing Where We Last Left Off Subject: Wait is this tie in to your WW2/Horror game LOL.
Maximus moved quickly, almost right on the heels of Arien, and was ready for any hostiles should they be encountered. Instead all that they found were a number of bodies piled in front of the small set of stairs, clearly the remains of the priests living here. As the others reacted to the priests state of dismemberment, Maximus had none. During his many years in the gladiatorial pits he had seen much worse and of those suffering such wounds, some were still living at the time.
It was clear the priests weapons, kitchen knives, butcher’s cleavers, and sharp household items had done nothing much for their defense from whatever had killed them all. From behind the big gladiator came the voice of the bard, no longer in song.
“By the sea and stars, what in all the Hells of all the religions has happened here?”
Without looking behind him Maximus answered the half-elf bards question.
“Death”
The next to speak was that of Adrian his voice hushed in horror
"Evil was here... is here, perhaps the one large demon? Or something else?"
Before anyone could answer him the sound of laughter in the room - a light soft almost innocent giggle of a young girl was heard by all. Clearly something watched them, even now, from the shadows of this house of death.........

But I'll send you a copy of him as I rewrote him onto an actual character sheet using my AD&D comp program. No changes except raising him to 7th LvL and replacing the name Talas w/ Maximus to his History. However upon looking him over should I not have more WP'S ??

Topic: Continuing Where We Last Left Off Subject: Battering Ram Maximus reporting for duty SIR!!!!!
As Maximus watched, Dapple quickly, yet quietly, moved past him to first check the door before them. Finding a hair placed upon it the young male thief moved to check the window closet to them and again found a hair placed as if in warning.
Hairs on the outside?, what was so demanding as to know if one traveled in or out? The ex-gladiators thoughts were verbally echoed by Arien who quickly decided how they would proceed.
"I wonder what sort of thing could be contained within these doors? Why would someone do such a thing? Right, then. Let us be ready for a fight, just in case." The knight drew Liun'naur and spoke the name, causing the mystic blade's flame to ignite.
"Maximus, up here with me. Kilgim, you and Char follow. Let Dapple and Flynn take up the rear. Let us move in quickly, get our bearings, and determine if we need to defend ourselves. Although..."
As Maximus moved to comply with Arien’s orders the knight addressed Dapple
“Dapple, is there any chance that Sunset could possibly peer in through a window, and be able to tell you anything of use? No need for us to storm in, blades bared, if the situation does not call for it."
To Maximus that was a very good idea, a very, very good idea if it was possible. Though the small dragon had not landed on his shoulder or flown close to him at the inn, he still cared about its well being. However due to its size in this situation it could be very useful as a scout of sorts. As he moved up the stairs to claim his assigned spot he hoped Dapple would see the benefits too.........

Topic: Voyages of Rocinante - Serenity/Firefly RPG Subject: Ok my post
Newhouse, Beylix, Outside Jailhouse, 12:30 am, Day Three
“This ain’t right Sam, I don’t like it one bit. We need to disarm Pearson and find out wtf is going on before we let him step foot of the ship”
“Tze sah ju yi (suicidal idea), puhn yoh, no matter how much I might be inclined ta agree... even if we did manage ta not get shot down, there’s too many innocent folk around... can’t have none o’ them gettin’ tangled up in our mi tian gohn, get me?”
“I don’t care, this ain’t right”
With that Wolf started towards Pearson and Wyatt who was now kneeling by the dead Frisconian. It was here that the tension of the moment spiked, for just as Wolf made it to Pearson's side and was about to speak to the ex-deputy, the sheriff arrived.
“Well what do we have here?” The balding man sneered, at once leveling his weapons at Wolf. “Captain, your man here has machine pistols ready in a park where there are woman and children. Please make him rack and pin them or I will drop him where he stands. We have differences but I believe you would prefer to be civilized.”
"You wouldn’t know civilized from yer pi guh, mister,” Wolf heard Sam mutter from behind him as he stopped dead in his tracks.
Slowly, with his hands at shoulder level, palms out, and away from his guns, the big mechanic turned to face the sheriff dead on not saying a word. His mind for a moment weighed the odds on whether he could move out of the lawman's sight pattern and draw one or both of his pistols fast enough to take the sheriff down, but only for a small moment. His fight was not with the bald headed A**hole but with his ex-deputy.
Still facing the sheriff, not saying a word, a small smile of disdain on his face, he snapped both safety clips closed.
"Right! Luke. What happened?" The sheriff asked with guns still out and ready.
“Man ran out of mining Guild office. One of these gentlemen called stop thief. I identified myself, told him to stop, he didn’t, I did.”
The Sheriff nodded rapidly, “Fine. Clear cut case to me.”
“Fine?!” Blake cried out, “Chad was one of us! From Frisco.”
“Really?!” Sheriff answered, “Good then, you can take the body home and I don’t worry about getting Morty to do it.”
“I think we have re-thought our decision with Mr. Pearson.” John called back angrily.
“Re-think all you want, you have a binding legal contract that I witnessed for you. Now load up your friend, take Luke to your ship and get the hell out of my town now!"
Seeing that they would need the mule to carry the body back to the Rocinante Wolf turned back towards the passenger filled carrier, pausing only long enough to pass on some low voiced advice to Pearson.
“Yo niou-se, you might want to rethink your travel plans, space flight these days is so very risky.”
With that Wolf walked back to the mule, got back into the driver’s seat and moved it forward to Wyatt and the body, arriving just as Sam decided to walk.
“If we’s bein’ forced ta ferry this Pearson piece o’ sh** back ta the boat, Cap, I reckon I’ll walk my own self if that’s ku by you. If I don’t, I’m like ta bao xin jiu huo, get me?”
Leaving it running, and nodding to Sam, he climbed out and waited for the Cap’n, or someone else to help him with the body. However unlike Sam he truly hoped that the ex-deputy would indeed get on the ship, for true to his word the two of them would be having a “talk” once off planet and back in space.......................
(OOC: Ok after the body is in the Mule I’ll wait for everyone, but Sam, to get settled, including Pearson, if he does not take my hint, and of course head back to the ship.)

I think as I read Eol's and Roger's posts that both of you are under the misconception that I'm holding my SMG pistols in hand.
In reality they are still holstered but the safety snaps are off for quicker drawing or am I reading the posts wrong instead??
Have a post in mind for tonight but need clarifaction so I can plan my response
