With the fight over and introductions for the most part taken care of and having decided to stay with the rest of his rescuers, Fenris moved through the bodies of the dead hoping to find his missing gear and to gather anything of use or value. As he searched each body he came to, he in turn helped to gather the bodies for burning. With his searching for his swords and gear seemingly unsuccessful he found himself for the moment only with his cantrips. Until a long rest the Rogue/Wizard would be at a quite disadvantage in a fight. However he was not one to turn away from adventure and somehow he knew an adventure was lurking just out of sight…..

Will get a post up by the weekend, just been a little hectic dealing with Mom and her increased dementia.

Having reached cover of a sorts, Fenris once more looked for a new target. However as he watched, the Goblins and Gnolls retreated, and the Elf named Hornet called out.

“Everyone rally on me, let them run. We will do a search of the area, then the cave.”

As Fenris watched the party of adventurers moved to gather around Hornet. The Rogue/Mage assumed that this was the groups leader. Standing he debated what he was going to do next, seek his freedom or seek his items. The Half-Elf was unsure if his gear and weapons had been left behind or taken by the Goblins and Gnolls. However his choice was made by the Elf Hornet as he called out again this time to Fenris directly.

“You there, thanks for the help you are free now and can flee like the other’s or if you wish you can talk with us and see if our goals are in alignment and perhaps you can join our little group.”

Giving the offer a brief consideration Fenris decided to take the Elf up on his offer. Moving closer to the group he smiled and introduced himself.

“Thank you for the rescue, I owe you all one.” Turning to Thaoran he moved to hand back the Elf Knight’s dagger before facing the group once more.

“My name is Fenris Kaine”……...

As Fenris quickly made his way behind first a second then a third bush he took a quick of those "rescuing" him. Other then the other Elf and his gift of a dagger Fenris did not know if these were the good guys or bad guys. Another firebolt sent to the closet activily fighting enemy, Goblin or Gnoll within range, he knew that was a question that he hoped would be on good guy side.

Per your sheet you already have Posion Spray as your Cantrip. Once you pick a Cantrip you can't change it till later in the game if you choose to do so which I believe is a Feat ability. Nomad am I right or wrong?

Dropping the chest, his hands free he grabbed at the gag covering his mouth and threw it away. As he did an arrow suddenly appeared in the Goblin holder of his rope, dropping it to the ground dead.

'I hope this will be of assistance, please, take it.”

A male voice from behind him made him turn quickly to find an Elf holding out a dagger to him. With a quick nod of thanks Fenris readied the dagger then finding his closet enemy between him and an escape to the west he brought up his cantrip of Firebolt and launched it. Then he was quickly moving to put some space between him and the other Gob's humming a tune of song.

(Ok Nomad take your pic of the 2 Goblins between me and the tree that Thäoran is hiding behind on the map. As a bonus action I’m starting use of bladesong and Item interaction attempting to remove the rope from around my neck..)

However now that I can speak I have my cantrip of Firebolt I'll most likely use that as it does 1d10 damage and I can use it every round.

With a new outlook and a new character lol. Lets hope they work together well.

Meeting Fenris Kaine

As Fenris followed behind the rest of the prisoners the Half-Elf could not but berate himself for his stupidity and his infatuation with the Lady Sarai. If not for that he would not have been stupid enough to seek out an “empty cave” with two of her guards and a young eager mage. Come to think on it the mage too seemed quite infatuated with the Lady herself also, perhaps like Fenris too infatuated. The Half-Elf Rogue/Wizard had, had a few days to think on all of this and could find no other reason that even though he had resistance to charm somehow the Elvin noble had indeed charmed him. Thinking back it had all seemed as she had said, the cave had indeed seemed empty but that lasted all of a few minutes as the young mage had suddenly taken an arrow through his leg and the two guards had fled, leaving him to try and save himself and the mage. In the end the mage ended up dead and he himself a prisoner. For sure if he ever gained his freedom he would be having a long, possibly deadly talk, with the Lady Sarai and her two guards.

As he walked and carried the chest before he continually looked for ways to escape but with the number of Gnolls and Goblins the chances of getting away were too long. Without his weapons, gear and even readied spells, all he had were his cantrips and even then his only true offensive one was firebolt. However these Gnolls and their Goblin underlings had not been stupid and had gagged him just enough for him to be unable to use it. For the moment it was a waiting game. Yet Fenris knew something was afoot as this sudden evacuation of the cave system was a clear indication something or someones had caused a panic within the ranks of the creatures holding him prisoner.

Then as if he had foreseen it all along the Gnolls and Goblins seemed to become confused standing around in a state of unsureness looking in all directions as if they were under attack. Hoping that there were other adventurers indeed doing just that Fenris decided this was the moment to act. With his guard Goblin looking around in confusion Fenris quickly took the chest he was holding and swing it attempting for a low hit into the creatures groin. Hoping in shock and pain that the Goblin would release the rope around his neck, Fenris would next go for removing his gag hoping he have the the action and bonus action to do so. If successful his next round would be about fire and escape…...

With the goblin in the rocks dead, Hornet quickly called for action and indicated the group should quickly move forward. Hornet and the two dwarves who were already at the front on the path took the lead. Silver following quickly behind, her bow readied with a new arrow nocked. Moving at a moderate pace, the party trying to maintain some speed while also trying to maintaining a quiet approach. However in only seconds that was all thrown to shit as literally a goblin was thrown down the path past the group in a screaming yelp.

Following behind him a group of other goblins came also stumbling down – not falling, but not precisely in control of their momentum either. Reaching the bottom, they staggered to a halt and looked in your direction.

“Shit” Silver mumbled under her breath as she turned and raised her bow.

Before the group, roughly 50’ away, stood six goblins on the path, seeing the group for the first time themselves several of them screamed and pointed at the group.

Bow up, arrow ready, she took aim and fired it off, a second arrow following quickly…..

For Silver, an arrow pulled back on the bow and ready for an attack, a second arrow beside her. The Half-Elf was once again aiming towards the cave’s entrance. Waiting giving, watching Hornet moving closer to the open to the cave, Silver watching for anything thing for Goblins, or Hobgoblins. Silver knew this time that everyone was ready for a second attempt to battle the last of the enemy and finish off the rest. Hopefully it would be much easier then before.

"Everyone aim for that goblin in the rocks.  Hopefully we get lucky and kill it quick"

Without hesitation, a arrow fired, and hopefully a scored a hit, Silver had a second arrow picked and pulled back ready once more to attack. 

I will try to get a post up this week if not Silver being Silver with brutely use her bow

Well it's been over 12 hrs so far and the Inn is still up so hopefully it looks like Olan got the server problem fixed. I love the Inn with all my heart, been here the longest of us in this game, except maybe Keeper, and would hate to leave it. However though I'll never "leave" the Inn, I'll go where the game goes to play it. Your call in the end Nomad.

With the renewed strength given by Dok’s healing, Silver found herself angry. Angry that the group had, had to retreat from the occupants of the cave. Yes there had been Gnolls and Bugbears on top of the Goblins, but Still!

The female half-Elf had to admit, as she took in the newcomer’s, that without the help of the Dwarf and Goliath the outcome of this fight would have been much worse. Brushing herself off as best she could she adjusted her swords and bow once more to better treat her body and moved over to thank the both of them.

“I wish to offer my thanks for your help and to welcome you to our group, my name is Silver”

With greetings finally done, and Dok having given her a much needed influx of health, the party begin to move deeper into the woods as they could still make out the light of the burning bush, but just as quickly that became hidden by the trees. Within minutes that seemed like hours the party was free and clear and no longer under pursuit from the denizens of the cave. A place found for a good long rest and with sentry’s out the party did just that.

With everyone healed and rested the talk quickly turned once more to again attempting to rid the woods and cave of it’s dangerous denizens.

Hornet was first to speak, followed by Dok and the rest of the group and it was clear to the Half-Elf Rogue they would be returning to the cave, however for the moment Silver chose to remain quiet as she really had no leaning either way. If the it was decided to return to town or cave she would follow along with the rest, though she did find herself thinking about her gear forged partner. With the choice decided and Hornet once more in the lead the party of seven once more, this time using the river’s edge, once more made their way back towards the cave. Suddenly Hornet held up a fist to bring the group to a halt and call for silence. Talking could be heard ahead – towards the river.

As the party moved forward, yet before clearing the woods, it was clear that their were at least two voices speaking common and clearly without the grunts and rough word revealing them not to be goblin in nature. A little closer and they could make out words.

A unknown female voice spoke quickly but excitedly, “There I was in the woods! And approaching the river I met you.”

“Of course! Of course! One must always be careful of mages; they always have surprising tricks that can do all sorts of interesting things. Why, once Boris met one with these weird glasses who . . . well, never mind that, that mage isn’t here, but you are! And such a you! It was obvious you weren’t half, and no, I have never heard of a two-thirding but that meant you must be something else! But I spotted it – the stick, you see, it is a give away for those who know what Boris knows. And Boris has been to more places than just his river. But this river is a good place and many people come to it! Which they should since it is such a fine river! Like my friends from yesterday who did me a good service – you will like them. And I can say will, because they are right behind those bushes over there!”

This second voice clearly of Boris the Otter speaking in his usual rapid fire fashion however Silver had thought at least she and Hornet had been quit getting closer only to be surprised as Boris called for the party to come forth. Thus the party was introduced to Lilly Moonwillow.

“Well met, Friends of Boris,I am Lilly Moonwillow, at your service.”

"Hello Lilly I am called Silver, glad to make your acquaintance.” A little bow of the head and her hand extended in greeting Silver made herself known……………….

Ok I'm working on a post as I write this for Silver. However was without power off and on this past week so I'm way behind.

Nomad, or anyone, can you post a listing of the current party members and thier current character classes. That would be a big help in greeting the newest players and interacting with them for me. I went looking in the past Q/A posts but I did not find a current listing.

Jim, Tom, if I have not already done so I wish to welcome you both to the Inn. I hope you enjoy it as much as quite a few of us have over the many years we have been here, and I hope you stick around.

As Dok placed his hand upon her shoulder, not for the first time did she feel the warmth and pleasure of a healing touch. However this time for some reason the healing carried it with a warmer feeling as if given in thank you. Silver could not help but smile at the Dwarf.

“Thank you my friend I surely did need that.”

Following the rest she continued with them swords still at the ready.

Silver is in agreement with Hornet. Find a place to rest then gauge the situation from there. As she is low on HP's (4) she will stay to the center of the marching order.

As Sliver watched the newcommers interact with the rest of the original party, she still had her doubts about both of them. A Golitith and a battle ready Dwarf were indeed good companions in a fight, but she was not one to trust right away. However they had shown only the want to help and with her wounds severe she was glad for thier company. Following the rest of the party as they headed out she placed a few bandages from her healing kit on her words and did her best to stop her bleeding.

To the rest of the group, Mom's doing much better and is at home so I should be a regular player once more. Thanks for your patience. 

As Silver helped Hornet move Dok to safety they could clearly hear a goblin scream in pain.

“I believe Boris may have heard my call for help, We may yet live to see the morning" The older elf gave a slight smile of hope and then they both continued across only to be surprised by a whisper.

“Psst, do you need help?, Come this way!” From the fog gathered around them emerged a very pale skinned silever haired looking person – not a bugbear or any such creature. Clothed in hand crafted and stitched animal skins, a necklace of teeth, it’s skin covered in tattoo’s and holding a quarterstaff. Within moments having reached the riverbank Hornet took charge accepting the creature’s help.

Within a next group of seconds the rest of the party had also arrived alongside she and the Elf assassn. Placing Dok on the ground and within cover, Silver almost on instinct attacked the pale creature as it bent to Dok’s side but qwuickly stopped herself when she saw the light of healing become a glow on it’s hands.

For the moment she would hold all actions as she too was in need of healing and to kill this creature clearly capable of such, would be stupid and utterly inane. She would wait for Soledad’s next orders.

Go ahead and post without me, Mom fell and broke her right wrist and pelvic bone so I'm dealing with that and have had no time to post.

Striper

As She watched Thaoran grab and prepare to start to drag Dok’s body away from where he had fallen, Silver with both rapier’s in hand watched and waited for the Eldritch Knight to start moving back towards the rest of the group. Though hurt herself and not in a small way, still she stood ready for any more attackers.

Yeah with your higher STR dragon-soul it would be quicker for you to drag him. As a Swashbuckler Rogue I'm pretty good at fighting/damage dealing
