Topic: The Chakran Portal - an Adventure in Audalis Subject: An Ivory Tower hmmmm I think I know this one LOL
As the party rode away from the city Malius knew there was a good chance he would never return to it. Paranoia seemed to be a common disease in that town which for Sylvari in general was a very rare trait.
But then the city was out of sight and they were once again on their way. The next day was just as estranging. Hardly any Syls crossed their path, and the ones that they met were in a hurry, looking about skittishly to Malius it seemed the same disease as in the city had found its way here also. Then they finally broke through the trees to find themselves on the rim of a clearing, in its center stood a high, round tower, beautiful white with ivy crawling up its flanks. The grass around the tower was grown in patches that formed intricate patterns. The big double door was closed, and in front of it stood a Sylvari woman in armor on a horse. Yelling loudly she called up to the high windows of the tower:
“Open up, I command you! The Emperor requests your aid! Don’t let a Bladesinger waiting!”
At the word “Bladesinger” Malius groaned quietly to himself and muttered
“Not another one”
To this day ever since Lorili’s death, she another Bladesinger and once love of his life, he had gone out of his way to avoid them. Not out of any hate or anger towards them but of the simple fact that the memories they awoke were painful and long buried.
As Loda once again moved forward, to Malius the dwarf’s actions more like that of a curious halfling, he moved his horse to allow for a better view of the clearing. With all these stories of maddened beasts and their last encounter it was better to be safe.
And it helped him not to think on the women Bladesinger....

Weapons: As you offered I will take the SAW, An M13 Pistol in a hip holster on his right hip, an M9 in a shoulder Holster under left arm. A MAK knife slung upside down for quick release on Right breast area. A suit of ARBA armor and last but not least his room sweeper weapon a sawed off .12 Gauge pump action Shotgun with pistol grip but no stock on his back.

Topic: Cerebral Paradox - Mature Content Subject: Thank you's and and an Apology
The Mean Streets – Upper East Side – Night City – March, Friday 13th, 2020, 12:53am
As Croaker, Preacher, Jaimy and Firewind all reached the van the Nomad saw that everyone except for the dead Coyote had made it back in one piece, though for some it was not without pain.
Looking forward to the front of the van he saw BullsEye looking back seemingly awaiting orders.
“BullsEye everyone’s on board get us the hell outta here. For now head downtown and get us 'lost' in traffic.” With the van moving Croaker turned to Spiff who had just retrieved his phone from Jaimy.
“Ok Spiff make your call let our ‘Johnson’ know we have the package and are on the way to the meet.” Next he turned to Frankie and Guardian.
“Guess I owe you a thank you Guardian for keeping one of my team alive back there on those stairs when Spiffie here bugged out.”
A cold glare was sent towards the fixer but that was all for the moment. Croaker knew that now was not the time to pursue his anger toward the A**hole sitting across from him, but once the run was over they would have a long talk.
“So thank you.” Croaker said his right hand held out
Then with a deep sigh he turned to Digital Scribe.
“Ok Frankie I guess its time you and I settle our disagreement. We were told and I told you that we were not to have any media coverage of the event but you tried to get this all on the evening news anyway, and well that just pissed me off. Then your last two ’bodyguards’ exchanged bullets with us and that just made things worse. But like Guardian here I owe ya a thank you for what ya did at the Hole, so thanks.
Look Frankie you know me and I know you we’ve been friends a long time and I should have known that somehow, some way you’d try to get this story so I also owe you an apology for not trusting you, but a few things happened tonight I did not expect”
A quick look towards Jaimy as these words were said revealed perhaps to no one but Croaker himself what one of those was.
“So I got a deal for you, you take your media footage, edit it by taking all of our faces out, not mention the package and keeping the action parts you report it as a ‘turf war’ of some type between the Wild Things and some unknown gangers. This way you get your story, we stay unknown, and we put this behind us and carry on like before. You take the deal we drop you and Guardian off with your camara and we meet back at my place. You decline the deal we drop you and Guardian off but the camara stays with me till into the river it goes. No story, no evening news no money for you. So what ya say Frankie, Deal or no Deal.”.......
I just had to use that

Topic: An alternate sci-fi game? Subject: Ok an Idea for you Boss
Olan the nature of this game you want to run sounds a lot like as Brianna method earlier Twilight 2000.
On the cover of the rule book it states “Role-playing in the Devastation of WW III” How about that as a starting point for your game. Make the players survivors of a few different units and nations that way you get the mix of character types I think your looking for as far as the party is concerned. Base it in Europe that way the players can have the option of being American, German, French, British, and even Russian military or one of the many NATO/Old Communist Block Nations. Have them all thrown together due to the aftermath of thier units destruction because of the fighting and the results of limited Nuclear weapons use. The need to survive in a post WW III Europe with no leaders or viable countries, from other marauding groups and gangs and from soldiers once allied but now turned enemy has brought them together.
As far as character concepts go here’s mine I will be the Heavy Weapons guy carrying an M249 SAW, a 9mm Sig Saur 226 in a shoulder holster, an MPK 9mm sub gun on his back. Two Gerber boot knives in boot sheaths and a honking big Kabar fighting knife at his hip. Like my Gladiator in Alacrity's game I will stand like ARRNOLD!! Also this time I want to be the Sarge and not the LT.

Topic: Cerebral Paradox - Cyberpunk 2020 Subject: Ok call me confused
You said Preacher took just a flesh wound but by your last post you posted the following.
Preacher felt the impact strike him in hat, biting through the crown and ripping a gash along his scalp; the armor plating he had in the hat having saved him from a deadly wound. The second and third impacts were to the body and leg, both didn’t penetrate, but the solo knew he’d have some nice bruises to remind him of the near misses. Blood poured down his forehead and across his face almost immediately. Head wounds bled badly. But that wasn’t the end of it for the man. The second ganger opened up as well, firing three more rounds. The first took Preacher across the head again, gashing his forehead over his left eye, but not penetrating the skull. The second went past, and the third struck him dead in the chest. This time Preacher gasped as the round penetrated his armor, punctured his pectoral muscle, and buried itself in his flesh. Grimacing against the pain, the solo remained steady
I would call that a little more then just a flesh wound My Moderator Brother
Ok I hope I am not being an annoying A**hole by bringing all this up all the time. If I am I apologize Brom but was just confused yet again

Topic: The Chakran Portal - an Adventure in Audalis Subject: I have no needs in Town
Malius sat upon his horse ignoring the cold looks given him by some of the guards, yes he was darker then most Syl’s yet one of them he still was. Knowing that at this moment speaking out about such would only complicate matters he watched quietly as the rest of the party argued with the guards the whys of no animals allowed.
Guards
“I must inform you though, that your animals are not allowed in the city. We have heard news from eastern towns, where animals are turning into monsters because of some kind of infection. We can't risk our animals being exposed to any threat”
Loda
"Animals not allowed in a Sylvain city deep in the woods? What kind of people are you? Look. Gothard here is nothing but a timid wolf, companion, and friend. If he can’t stay in the city, I won’t enter either. But you all need to realize that not every animal is diseased. We have slain one of these beasts, and it was dire and twisted beyond any natural form."
Guards
“So you have had contact with one of the diseased creatures! Who says your animals aren't infected? We cannot allow the wildlife in this city to have possible contact. So far we've had no incidents and we intend to keep things that way! I tell you once more: You are welcome, but your animals are not."
Alyssia
"Do you speak to all visitors in this manner? I am a servant of Lysora and can put witness to the fact that these are common animals. They have none of the characteristics of the diseased and mutated. Now, what say you?"
Guards
"I'm very sorry, miss, I really am. But I have my instructions. They sound to let no animal in, even if it looks healthier than we've ever seen. You never know if an animal is in the early stages of infection. Why don't you leave your animals with one of you while the rest finds what they need?"
Draven
"Why are you arguing city laws? Do you really think you'll be allowed in by arguing with a simple gateman? Stop wasting time. Do we need to enter this city or not? Your druids for Hel's sake. Stay out here, or leave them here. They can take care of themselves. Or we can simply pass this blasted city. Don't act as if you didn't help fend off a badger vicious enough to nearly tear our own elf's throat out. And don't pretend you know how that badger became that way. In fact the monster may very well have been infected with a contagious ailment. Only time will tell. Either way. I have no reason to enter this city."
As irritating as Draven was and though there was no love lost between them Malius had to agree with him for once. If his Ferrets, at the moment hiding in his saddle bags, could not enter then so be it, neither would he.
As a Ranger he needed nothing from inside the city’s walls and so had no real need to enter so turning his horse without a word spoken to the guards or any of the party, Malius slowly followed the Human fighter away from the gate....
(OOC: Sorry to all that my post is mostly other players speaking but its been a very long disappointing week and I just did not have the energy to do more. Again sorry everyone.)

“Aye well let them come me lady, me axes are yet hungry for the flesh and blood of Orc’s.
But I not be minding my manners good day to you both Cerric and you lovely Vatta.
But what say you Lorae do we stand here or head for this army you have raised now that Logan be healthy yet again.” Turning to Logan with a smile on his face he addressed next the Human fighter
“Mayhap my friend ya need to stay closer to me as you seem to be always getting yourself in trouble young lad.
We be needing to see if you humans can truly live as long as us Dwarf’s.”
Still having a large grin on his face the Dwarf knew that Logan would take his words in the manner of their intention, as a show of concern and friendly teasing.
“So I say again Lorae do we stand or do we regroup with yon army?”....

Topic: The Guiding Light Subject: To the "Salty Dog"
Tal followed behind En’Aranthea quietly somewhat lost in thought the cleanliness of these streets yet bothered him. If they had been Sylvain streets maybe but human streets this clean never.
But for the moment he kept his thoughts to himself and rode the horse quietly to the place of the meeting. Once they had reached the “Salty Dog” they ale moved inside and Varuna found them a table big enough for all just inside the doors. As was the custom of the group Tal positioned himself with his back to the wall facing into the room. With a waitress summoned Tal merely for the moment ordered a small glass of wine and some meat and cheese.
Until he was sure no danger lurked waiting for them he would not drink anything that would impair his judgment. For now he would sit eat some food and watch to see if a pretty human girl was mayhap there to be charmed, after all he had not worshiped his Goddess in some time and he knew she was waiting for him to do so.

Kealyn I can tell you right now that both Cailin and Greenleaf left the Inn earlier this year while you were offline due to real life issues. Its a very good bet they will not be returning anytime soon.
As for your statement in your first post above I thought Valimar's Noldaria game was the longest running here at the Inn. Then yours, Paradyse Lost and then Trilogy. Correct me if I am wrong.

Topic: Continuing Where We Last Left Off Subject: OHH this is so gonna hurt
Maximus was ready, shield and sword to hand, the Ranger Char beside him both of their bodies for the most part blocking the stairs.
Then as if he had lost his head the lad Dapple tried to push between them and move up the stairs. His shield quickly positioned as a barrier Maximus blocked the young lads movement up the stairs.
“Stay lad there is no need for you to recon the above floor, clear it is they await us to ascend and their numbers matter not. They will be ready no matter what we do, better we thin them out through Jal’s magic.”
Hoping Dapple will listen to him he awaits any sort of response from him.
(OOC: Please don’t hurt me too bad me Lady if Dapple continues to push by me I will not stop her.)

Topic: Peradyse Lost Subject: Highnar continues the fight
Highnar was lost in the pure joy of killing one of his races most hated foes.
For the longest time through the ages the hatred between Dwarf and Orc had never faltered or diminished in any way. Both sides took pleasure in the killing of the other no matter how it was done or how gruesome the results. With his axes yet held high and no wounds as yet Highnar looked for his next greenskin targets.
(OOC: Ok not sure how many Orc’s are left but will attack the closet ones.)
