Hey Guys,

Philosopher has come forth as an extra addition, now Grugg has left us. He seems more than eager and capable, so let's welcome him heartily!
first post in Q/A and new character sheet are altered.

I'll write up a short introduction in the game thread now

Subject: too much

we have enough players to keep this going. I'm glad that I don't have to type out his seperate character thread. It would've been some time before he would join you all.

I don't want a replacement either because it's been proven that taking over somebody else's character is difficult. Brianna is doing a great job with Geim, and Kaelyn is doing well with Thondrek, but he got to alter him completely.

Besides, now we don't have to wait on Vidar's player to post.

I don't think we're ever going to see Vidar's line continue. Skari-dono created him and gave him up and I don't want a replacement. I could delete the character, but I won't, since he was a part of this adventure.

actually, I was about to go change my comment, because I hadn't read the whole thing yet.

Good post, you know. We finally learn more about Malius' past.

Remember that your characters would not speak in +1 terms, cause they don't measure armor in rating.

I noticed one post by Dragon M after another. I'm sure it's Brianna posting, but you two seriously need to learn to use the logout button to prevent misunderstandings .

Anyway, I would appreciate it if Brianna could post this under her own account. Thanks

And where are everybody else's posts?

Topic: Filthy Thief Recruiting
Subject: Filthy Thief Recruiting

We're looking for an additional player to the D&D 3.5 game 'You Filthy Little Thief!!!'. You can find the thread here: Filthy Thief.

It was supposed to be a relatively fast and short game, but it has slowed down so that it will be neither. Therefore we're looking for some fresh blood to quicken the pace again.

We're looking for:
- 1 or 2 posts a week
- 1 extra player
- a new character, so you can decide what you want to be.
taken from the old recruitment thread:
- This first attempt at the concept will be played in Drannon, a human empire with its own turmoil.
- D&D Edition is 3.5
- You can play any standard race from the PHB
- You can play any class, but anything not from PHB has to be run by me for approval.
- Level is 4
- Stats are created by dividing 72 points over 6 abilities. Racial and level bonuses are added after division.

- Alignment is preferably Good.
- You start with the normal starting gold for 4th level characters, but you can only own 2 magical items, of which only one can be either weapon or armor.

I hope we'll get somebody who's interested. We've just finished up introductions and are ready to spring into the action!!

I only heard from Vorrioch that he has a term period, so he'll be a while in posting.

I haven't heard from Drakar, Sui just stated that he will post on Monday, and Stryke already posted.

Perhaps I should post a little request for an extra player? Just to keep things roling?

Hey, you guys can take your time on this one. This is a special event in the game, and I will not update Saturday unless there is something that I really really need to include in the post.

So tell Joanne not to haste herself into tiresome things too soon, ok? You've all got two weeks to reply to each other and get a good view of the situation.

Brianna, my update included two visits to different taverns, and I think you're confusing them. In the first bar you get the first round of drink for free.
In the second tavern, the one in Hith Elee, you have to pay for your drinks. That's where the moonhorse is standing.

Ayrn, I edited your post to include the name of the tavern you suggested:

The Broken Grommel Tavern
Named after the extremely low price for Ale. The innkeeper was known to serve his drinks for just a small piece of the Drannon Copper Piece, the Grommel.
The ale stinks, and is too strong and disgusting to be healthy, but there is no better atmosphere to be found in a common room anywhere near.

Ormander smiled at them all before leaving. When he left, it was only for a few steps. Than he turned to look at them once more.

"I'm proud of all of you. My children..."

Then he continued his path leading down the stairs.

When they were only shortly in conversation, a young girl called Olivia came to tell them that Ormander had a room made ready for them to stay in. She looked at Percifeer smiling for an awkwardly long moment before leaving again.

The time for a plan had come, and though Kastor spoke his inability to think, he hurried them along. It was clear that he was eager to get going.

Not really moving the plot forward, but I think it's good to make a short heads count. We need posts if we want to make this a short game, which it was intended to be. Otherwise we'll last forever or die out too soon. And there is some good RPing to do (there HAS been some good RPing already!)

anyways... as to more ideas, the 4 you offered are good ones, and could ALL be done. Just wanted to add that you probably shouldn't visit just the baker, but also the other people on the list. But it's a start.

I posted, an update that will join together the two game lines that have been going since the beginning. I have not had time yet to change character sheets for new or altered equipment, but I WILL do that as soon as I can.

You will all have to forgive me for making a choice for the main group that might go against some character's wishes. I felt that if I didn't do this, the joining of the two lines would have been too drug out. I believe this will work out fine.

Subject: Finally!!!!!

Alloryen Kingdom
Istalindir
6th day of the 8th month: Temoth Ore
2:13 pm

Arriving at Istalindir, Malius took the first step and inquired directions to the markets he hoped to visit. The guards gave all of them directions, and treated them with more respect than they had had in such a large city. Even the Khords were looked upon with admiration. Apparently their deeds were being held in high regards by the Sylvari.

When they entered the first tavern, clean and gracious as they come in Sylvari lands, they found that though Geim offered to buy the first round, the bartender wouldn’t take their money. Instead, he said, he was the one who had to repay his debt to the adventurers. Still, after the first round he found that his debt had been collected, and no more free drinks were passed their way. The ale was Khordaldrum though, an unlikely find in a city so far from Khordish society.

They arranged a meeting point, at the eastern border of the city, in an hour and half, plenty of time to get goods and some rest, but also enough time to not be wasting too much.

Istalindir proved to be a fine city, though under high emotional pressure from the events that were taking place in the forest around it. The people were friendly, though Loda caught occasional glances of fear as she trotted the streets with Gothard. Her wolf companion cried occasionally, from feeling unwanted and from not having had his fill with beer for a while. But the druid was taking good care of her animal, and was already on her way to buy a new load.

Malius was on his way to one of the arcane towers that rose like toadstools from the ground between the buildings. He was accompanied by Thondrek, but the two parted when Malius entered, and Thondrek had to follow the road to where the merchants were located.

Geimiedefher and Alyssia (I assume) headed for the stables and markets to find some horses and ponies for the group. They carried the group’s cash with them, and found fine steeds for reasonable prices. Alyssia’s presence seemed to cleanse the salesmen from their usual greed, and Geim’s knowledgeable nature found them the best buys.

What Draven had been up to, none of the other knew, but he was the first to arrive at the eastern borders and impatiently awaited the others as they joined him one by one. They had all been quite successful in their finds. Malius even wore a dark studded leather armor that was new to their eyes, and Gothard looked contently lazy and droopy eyed after getting his share of liquor.

They left the city behind them fast, having improved their speed now they travelled on horseback. Only a few minutes on the road, they were halted by a young Sylvari man on a slender horse. He wore the loose but official clothing of the messengers they had seen running around in Istalindir, and in his hand was a letter.

“I’m glad I found you. I have a message for you, but I couldn’t find you in the city. I thought you already left. I’m glad I came back.”

He handed the letter to them and took off. Its contents were clear:

Dear friends,

Matters are far more serious than we thought. I took my findings from the Aratar Barad to have them investigated. It seems that the trees drawn by the sages of the tower are infected trees that are what’s changing the animals in our forest. A cure has been found, but I need your assistance in taking down the biggest of trees. You’ve dealt with the affects of the trees before and with success. Come to Hith Elee, a small town, on your way to the Chakran Mountains. The Sylvari Empire will reward you greatly for your service.

Lady Quilanday

After a small discussion the group agreed to comply with her request, reasoning that it would not take them far from their path, would be the heroic thing to do, would bring them some more money, or whatever reason would make any of them interested. They set their course slightly more south-east, and continued their trip.

The forest flashed by quickly now, and they were not bothered by any twisted creatures. Still, the devastation that was raging in the once quiet woods was visible throughout their journey.

When it was too dark to continue, they made their camp, and dividing the guarding shifts evenly they slept. Once more, the night was a haunted one. Strange noises hissed past, and light footfall could be heard through the mist. The horses and ponies were restless, bunching close together and peering about nervously. Even a shadow of a skulking creature was seen, but on second glance it was gone. The companions were being watched, but never harmed or disturbed.

The following morning brought an early rise. Two hours later they arrived at their destination: Hith Elee. They were greeted by a druid, who called to them from a tree. He told them that a bladesinger Lady had arrived the night before, and was staying at the Solanis Paean Inn.
A little later they were sitting in the common room of the Sylvari establishment, while the innkeeper brought their wine. It was a small inn, but comfortable and welcoming. The wall were filled with woodcarvings of many types of wood and shape. Below the stairs leading up stood a young horse, alive and well, glancing at them, but focused on the next floor.
Hith Elee was a small town, slightly bigger and more populated than Birch-Root had been. The innkeeper had told them the bladesinger was getting ready. When she finally came down, it was not the woman they had expected.

(OOC: I took the liberty to make the choice for you, just so that we can have this part dealt with. I didn’t want to wait another week, and spend it on ‘small talk’ so to speak. Things that you feel are not completely done yet, you can fix in backposting or in the Q/A.)

Alloryen Kingdom
Hith Elee
7th day of the 8th month: Temoth Ore
5:38 am

Elessar called her name with all the pride she could muster. She was a bladesinger, and the fullness of this title was slowly unravelling in her mind. She had gone through hell the past few days, getting hardly any sleep, constantly tapping her strength, fighting her way through perilous combat and patching herself up with healing spells. She needed a real bed, and good sleep. Still, she did not know how these people would perceive her. Therefore she decided on modesty.

"May we please enter and be directed to where I can find stabling for my horses, I would even sleep in the stable with them."

“Don’t be foolish!” came the reply. A young Sylvari man walked from the bushes on the side of the road, carrying a bow that was now pointing at the ground. He smiled.

“Elessarae Isiliri of Megilindar Nost will not sleep in the stables in our town. We gladly offer you a room at our inn. The Solanis Paean may be a simple place, but the food is good, and the beds will give you a better rest than the forest ground. I am Aluwego Marrienbark, very honoured to meet you.”

He bade her to follow him, and he brought her to the stables first, where they left Morya and Comrade. He explained that they had received a letter of warning from Sillarion, about the infected trees, and about the heroic deeds of the bladesinger Elessarae Isiliri. He had never thought he would meet such a hero in person. She could see that he was quite thrilled, but also surprised at her age.

When they arrived at the inn, the heard the fast fall of hooves. Aluwego had an arrow ready in the blink of an eye, but it was only Comrade who, once again, refused to be separated from Elessar. The innkeeper allowed him to enter the building while yawning. He would not permit him to go up the stairs, where Elessar received a room with the most comfortable bed she had slept in since she left her home. The innkeeper told her that he would bring her a quick meal before bed, but when he left, she sank on the bed with her clothes on, and left the daily world to enter a state of healing paralysis.

She woke up the following morning, feeling fit again, and Hungry! The day had already begun and a the sun was entering her window. The innkeeper came into her room, after inquiring if she was dressed. There was a company of travellers downstairs who were looking for her. They had asked to see the Lady bladesinger, and he needed to know what to tell them. A moment later he left, after promising her an elaborate breakfast.

When she descended the stairs, she was first greeted by Comrade. The young stallion was looking up at her and neighed softly. Then she noticed the group of people sitting in the common room. They were staring at her, and in their eyes they could see that she was not who they expected.
(OOC: This is it... players all joined together!)
