Topic: City Fantastico Q&A: The Quest for Liquor and Shame
Subject: I'll not be here for a month or so

Guys, I'll be not addressing the Inn until the start of August. I have a lot of work and other stuff to do, plus I'll be going on a vacation.

I hope that by the time I return, this will have started again.

Grugg, where are you? And if so... when are you going to get us on the move?

Any news on you getting back to the inn?

I don't know if we're waiting on Tann, I think we're waiting for an update from our GM (soon to turn into a DM once we're inside the castle?).

In general... we're waiting.

Welcome once more. Saw you in chat, but decided to drop a line anyway.

Hope you'll have a great time here!

Subject: ok

I've said this before, and I will again:

After a reset of the score, the Inn is NEVER in the list. I don't know why this is, but it has been that way for as long as I can remember.

So don't stress, but keep voting. In a day or two/three, we'll be up there in the top 10.

Who's not posting? Bobber-the-Bob? And Eol McFefalas...

Get to it!

Well, Eol's been hijacked by angry work-clowns from the planet Stckofppronyrdsk, and who knows when he'll be back. Is it time to get a replacement, and let Percy return whenever Eol's back in the mansion?

Subject: inside... yes, good one

...and to think his biggest concern had been the bridge crumbling below their feet…

When the tentacles shot up from both sides of the bridge, Greta yelled a warning. Her reaction was swift and conscious. She somehow managed to shake her fear and convert it to tactical thinking.

This determination inspired Luke.
He saw Brutal slide towards the edge of the chasm to shoot at whatever creature was below the bridge. McGuinness, who had been the initial target of these monstrous appendages, ran towards the castle, to take cover behind the brick wall; a smart move, seeing how it was a better place for a sniper to pick his targets.

The Doc was starting to lose it, or so it seemed. The Captain needed to get his team together, with all faces in the same direction. And for now, that direction needed to be the way to get the tentacles to retreat, wherever they came from.

Luke ran towards the edge, where Brutal was firing at the spot between the tentacles. He stood straight at the edge, and pointed his gun down towards the depths and fired a single shot.

Then he saw what was coming up towards the bridge and his face went pale.

“We’re going to need something bigger than bullets here.”

He turned and started to run.

“Everybody inside the castle! NOW!”

It wasn’t fear per se that pushed him away from the creature. It was the knowledge that this thing would still be coming towards them after their clips were all empty. The sound of his latest command was full of determination. He needed his men to follow him now, or their mission would fall apart before the end.

That sucks Vanadia... hopefully you'll find something that fits your needs in a job soon.

I'll do my best to update today or tomorrow. Can't promise anything, but I think it will involve in running into the Castle. After all, this could STILL be a nasty thing the Nazi's produced to turn on the Allies (I'm trying to guess what a sane person would do when seeing two giant tentacles and then THAT attached to them).

The quest to defuse weapons of mass destruction should continue. I'm sure there is a room filled with oil-cans somewhere in that castle. There always is!

I don't know what kind of drama went on on Facebook, but I can tell you that most people here on the site do not suffer that kind of 'we don't care' attitude. I found that people do care, and they should.

This strip is awesome so far.

Subject: drug trade? Gerald knows about those

Once they exited the building Gerald was able to reflect on what exactly had happened. He summed it up in his head, which meant that most of the conversations that had taken place were fast-forwarded towards the parts where the violence started.

So, they had beaten a team of over rated hockey players at their own game. People had died a deserving death, and now there would be less crime going on in this area. They had done all that to get some information. But one question remained, and he voiced it as he entered the ice-cream truck.

“So, why did we leave that Canadian guy alive?”

He reminded himself to go back, once he had helped out Mr Fantastico, to clean up the leftovers.

Big gun #1 rested easily in his palm. It felt good having it back, even though it had only been out of his reach during the hockey game. He inspected the gun, just to make sure nobody had dared touch it, as he continued to listen to Danyael.

The man made some sense. At least, as far as the plan went that he was relaying now. Going in as potential buyers was a good way of getting close. But in all reality, they didn’t have to get close at all. A grenade or two would probably get a few of the dealer’s lapdogs storming from the building, where they would be sitting ducks.
After all, what they needed was for Darius to send his troops from his side to anywhere else. Even a partially successful raid would accomplish that.

Downhouser knew these things. He didn’t know why he knew them, but he liked to think that it was because he understood criminals. He would have been a great criminal himself, if he had chosen the illegal path over a life as Lady Justice’s sword hand.
Many times he had been the victim of bribes. Or rather, other people had tried to bribe him and they had become victims themselves. No matter how you looked at it, bribing had been involved, and he had refused to cooperate.

"The rest of you should do what you do best. Intimidate them and freak them out a bit. Percy, you should be particularly good at that last part I think. What do you guys think?"

Downhouser looked up. Lost in thought he had been patting Big Gun #1 like a cat, but he stopped now.

“I think it is a good plan. But this time we don’t let them take our guns. Otherwise I’ll refuse to go in. I’ll find a back door then, and the plan won’t be the plan anymore.”

He looked around the van, and his eyes rested on Virago.

“He should be your tester. You should have one of those if you want to be the real thing.”

Gerald had lots of experience with encountering drug dealers.

“You should also make some kind of appointment. You can’t just drive up and barge in. ‘s Not how it works. We need to find a small time dealer lower on the ladder, who’ll direct us to where we need to be.”

His eyes went blank for a moment as he thought of something. A grin spread across his face.

“Unless you WANT to barge in. I’d be game for that.”

He took a Fantasicornflakes bar from his pocket and started chewing on it. He had said what needed to be said. Now he just had to wait for the action to start.

Subject: Great upcoming movies!!

This can be the place where you yell about new movies that you've heard off, or upcoming stuff like TV-series that are an absolute Must-See in your opinion.

Note... this is about New stuff. So yeah, the first season of The Walking Dead was quite cool, but here you shout about the SECOND SEASON!!! Hoorah!!!

Alright... I go first:

I can't wait to see Super 8. I'm a sucker for viral campaigns... and JJ Abrams and his posse know how to deliver just that. I loved Cloverfield... hope this will be as good.

Other titles that make me itch for a movie night: the Woman in Black, Abe Lincoln - Vampire Killer, and of course the Hobbit!

Some more info on the two spots we can go to? Or doesn't it matter which one we pick first?

I say we go in as potential buyers... or whatever they're selling... coke, most likely.

Any other ideas?

Subject: short one then

As there seemed no direct threat at the moment, Luke decided to order the team to move on. He turned his face to where MacGuinness should be sitting (he guessed, the man was too good at taking cover), and flicked a few fast circles in the air with his index finger. It was time to get going.

Secondly, he approached the Sergeant.

"Troy, as much as I hope that something dreadful has happened to these Nazis, I don't want it to happen to us as well. We should approach as cautious as possible. This bridge however... I think we should take it fast, before it crumbles."

He then realized he had failed to use the Sarge's last name or title. Either he had been caught off guard by the eerie sensation this place brought, or he was starting to like the guy.
