Topic: Continuing Where We Last Left Off Q&A Subject: he did
Adrian did run off with Arien and Char. However, since the last thing you posted was that you were taking an inventory of the group, I put you behind the fighters. Thus, Adrian did not see Dapple attacked but did see her go down, and of course the honking huge spiders. My apologies for not making that clearer. I thought I had posted a reply but apparently I only thought about posting. Does anyone else have that happen? or is it just me?

The ham is smoked so it is perserved - it will last awhile.
Yes there is running water. No one will die of thirst.
The only traffic seen is the one I posted. The trucks have not come back, the black car did not return, the batmobile did not time travel through and the busload of wildly drunk german nurses did not break down outside the farm.

Topic: Weird War II Subject: A day in the barn
July 14th 1943, 8 am to 8 pm, Day Two of Mission
OOC: just a note that you traveled by night to reach here by day, so it is daytime currently
The food is a welcome sight and taste to men who had been living on rations and army food for what seemed to be an eternity. Even left out for a day and cold, the chicken and dumplings were well recieved. In the kitchen, a supply of apples, potatoes and rutabagas were found. A slightly dented Crosley Shelvador Refrigerator (When you open it, the door comes off its hinges but is held in place with bent chicken wire.) has a supply of milk, butter and eggs inside as well as a smoked ham wrapped in brown paper.
The search of the house turned up a number of useful items. First of all was the 1930's Sauer 12g double barreled shotgun over the mantle piece along with two boxes of 12 double aught buck shells (so 24 in total). Although hanging on the wall, the gun is well oiled and obviously been taken care of for some time. In the bedrooms were found few match boxes, some candles, a bar of soap, a silver hip flask, and some iodine. In the bedside table of the master bedroom is a Beholla 7.65mm automatic pistol with a separate 7 round mag and a box of 100 rounds (7 missing). The handgun is old (1917) but in excellent condition. In the closet, on the top shelf are a pair of Carl Zeiss Jena Binoculars 8 X 24 with leather carrying case.
The dining room liquor cabinet contains a number of liquors in glass decanters. Asbach brandy, Gin and Vodka are labeled with them are several others that smell of fruit and could be schnappes.
"Ok listen up, sentries will be stationed in the loft with the sniper scope from McGuinness's rifle and will be as follows. I’ll take the first 3 hours, then you McGuinness, followed by Stewart, Clements, then myself for the last 3 hours. By then it will be 2000 hrs nightfall and we can head out as ordered. Find a place to down here to set your racks and get some shut eye, that’s an order.” Sgt Romo ordered.
The men find themselves places to rest and the upper loft is used as a sentry post - an excellent position as from the loft a shuttered window can be opened giving the watch the ability to see the driveway and even part of the road with the scope or binoculars.
On McGuinness's watch, about 1:00 pm, three trucks pass by on the road heading northwards, in the direction of the crash site. They are lorries, but from his vantage point, the sniper can not tell if the trucks have personnel in them or not.
On Stewart's watch, he sees a black car pass heading south. It is a fancy car, convertible four seater with a long front. Driving is a man, blond and beside him is a woman. Her head is wrapped in a scarf but enough hair peeks out to see she is blond. She wears dark glasses to protect from the wind and dust.
The rest of the watches have nothing to report. 2000 hours (8 pm) comes around and the team is rested and well-fed at least. Night is starting to fall and the men prepare to move on.
OOC: I will need to know what you are taking and what you are not, and who has what.

Topic: Weird War II Q n A Subject: moving forward
I hope to move the game forward by Wednesday. I have found someone to take over Dreen's character.
Odyson - you should ask me what you find in the house, not post assumptions. I don't have a problem with what you have put as found but if you'd pm'ed me, I would have given you a comprehensive list.

Tann is correct about the spiders being single file down the hallway. They are about the size of horses, only rounder.

Topic: Continuing Where We Last Left Off Q&A Subject: Dapple's secret
The question has come up as to who knows Dapple's secret. As I recall, she was outted in Antonio's castle (1st adv) in the final battle. So Char, Kilgim (Alloryn and Shona) know Dapple is a girl but Arien does not because he had been tossed out of the window at that point and rescued by the elves. New members since the first adventure would not know (Adrian, Maximus and Flynn).
Now if I am incorrect in this matter, please let me know.

Topic: Weird War II Q n A Subject: what he said
This is not a reality based game. This is playing 633 squadron, or the longest day, or the Battle of Britain, or any John Wayne WWII movie. With monsters thrown in. Mazis are evil, SS are more evil, commanders are really evil and all gernmans carry lugers.

Topic: Weird War II Q n A Subject: Well
You could use the house as a place to sleep for the night. It is off the road, it is sheltered, there is food too. You'd still want to set a watch but it is better than in a field.
You could camp out in the field.
You could keep going through the bush.
You could follow the road to the castle.
You could stay off the main road but use it to plot a course to the castle.
Remember that it is early morning and you have been going since yesterday evening.
You could form a barber's shop quartet and tour swisserland.
Possibilities are endless....

Topic: Voyages of the Rocinante - Firefly RPG QnA Subject: Ummmm........
You might want to re-consider that plan of action Tann. The Hydrogen is explosive, pressurized and supercooled to −423.17 °F/−252.87°C. So best case scenario here would be killing all four by flash freezing them, which would be murder. Worst case, flash freeze you, them, everything in a 100 foot area and blowing up that section of the port, which would include Rocinante.
As for time, you would have to release the pressure, undo the value and then remove the safety mech that prevents people from accidently doing what you are suggesting. So at least 20 minutes unless you wnt to cut the hose - which would definitelt lead to a worst case scenario.
You are a big guy who is a scrapper, good with bare hands and a knife. You could try to talk your way out, do a bit of intimidation, or just slug one of them and see what happens. Up to you. This isn't a major plot line, I just thought you'd like to have something specifically for Wolf.
