New 4th edition RP

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a 4th ed D&D campaign. I'd like to see how it'd play out on a message board, since it's the edition I'm most familiar with. It would start at lvl 1 and go from there. I'd also like to try out some homebrew classes eventually, but we'll see how that goes.

Sure

Sure. Ive been playing DnD for a couple of years but this would be my first time doing it online. Also would you be the DM cause I usually prefer to be a character player. Regardless I would really like to play if it is allright with you.

Sounds good

I'm new at D&D myself, but I'd be willing to give DMing a try. I wouldn't be opposed to someone more experienced coming forward...lol. But whatever works, you know?

Synopsis and more

Ok, the main idea is this, it will take place in a new world, called Hamlin. The primary cities are: the human capital of Karnas, a large city of weath and prosperity in the wilderness, Khordalyum, the Dwarven stronghold in the mountains of the North, and Quel'thassil, the Elven city of Gold in the plains of the South.

A group of first time adventurers meet in Hamlin for a meeting of the Adventurer's Guild. For the induction, they must travel to the Kilias Mountains of the West to retrieve an amulet stolen by a goblin raiding party. The group will be made up of the four basic classes, the striker, defender, etc. Up to you, really, just as long as there gets to be a balanced group.

We have our first slot taken by Angel of Nether!

I'm hoping for at least three more, but even one more would be great so I don't have to DM and RP at the same time, but I will if I have to! Don't tempt me...

Possible 2nd

What kinda of posting frequency are you looking at? I'm already playing and DMing in a few, well quite a few, 4e games but am always interested in playing more. Already have a few games with pretty tight posting requirements but if you were pretty flexible about posting requirements, ie as infrequent as one post every other day or faster if time permits, I'd be interested.

Posting

I've got a few myself, and I wasn't really looking at anything more frequent than a couple times a week, but that's just my minimum, say twice a week, and if you can manage more than that, that's fine.

Torc

Cool, how about a Dragonborn Sorcerer?

Or are there any restrictions on races/classes? Also my rough build includes a feat from Dragon 365. Would that also be allowed?

Restrictions

Just anything canon I'll accept, but as far as the stuff from Dragon/online goes...I figure 4e is still new enough that old stuff is welcome too. For another of my games on here I did a dragonborn archivist from heroes of horror. So, pretty much anything I'll accept as long as it'll work on paper (well...on screen...whatever).

Still searching

Got three players now, including me, but I'd like a couple more. Don't be shy! None of us bite. Hard...

hmm

I'm not familiar with 4th edition rules nor am I a particularly good player (considering post counts), but if you are willing to be patient and answer few questions if I bring them then I'm willing to give this game a shot.

I have absolutely no concept and I am no big fan of 4th ed, but I think I should give it a shot before damning it for all eternity.

4e

Well, it's the one I'm most familiar with, since I've just gotten into the whole D&D thing (I'm such a n00b). But, from what I've looked at, it's fairly user-friendly, if a bit too geared toward WoW kinda things. As far as questions, ask away. If I don't know something, I'll look that sucker up. And, no hurry with the char concept. I'm going to work one up for myself too, just to keep things a little more well-rounded.

hmm

I think I'm going to have to back out of this one. First of all, I completely forgot I signed up for this in the first place, and secondly I still have no idea what to play. Sorry man.

Sorry I'm also going to have to drop out of this of this game. Got too much on my plate right now to start something new.
