seeing double

You had two of the same threads so I deleted one.

Yes, the railway runs deep and fast in gaming. I have some very cynical players that think if they killed the person hiring them, it would be a lot easier - after all, they always turn out to be the villian.

One of my favourite adventure railroads was the module "Castle Amber". You wake up outside a castle, everywhere else is a grey mist. The grey mist will kill you slowly if you enter it. What are you going to do?

UH huh

I have to be honest, up until the last two panels I was super digging it. Awesome art and description, really makes me want a game right now.

Then the last two panels...don't really make sense...were they planning to kill and eat Ray? It's kind of breaking in a way that didn't work for me.

Last panel was good actually, but Jim's line confused me to the point where it just sorta...lost it's touch.

Otherwise good, art awesome as usual.

agreed

I too found the last couple of panels confusing. I had to re-read them a couple of times to get the jist.

AHHH! I just agreed with Grugg! Get hot water! Get disinfectant! Get iodine!

fudge

Well, fudge. No point in explaining anything. As the old wisdom states, if I have to explain it, then the joke isn't funny.

Hopefully, future strips will better meet your approval!

speech bubbles

I really think it came down to Rich's speech bubble on the tabletp frame at the bottom. Reading left to right, it makes no sense until you realize Rich spoke first and it makes clicks. But that is reading top to bottom more than left to right.

I forgot to consider those years that Olan spent with the special forces in China causing him to read from top to bottom occasionally.

I like it

Made me question my sanity as I went back and the speech bubbles had changed....

my eyes!

The color is all funky. What's up with that?

(I'm sure no one notices this but me.) The colors are more saturated then they are supposed to be.

*sigh*

I got the joke. Ray took like 2 extra hours to make his guy... if they had to do it again...

I got it too - I just gave it back

The colours seem fine to me. Could it be your screen?

My favorite line...

...in this one has to be "Dude, we get it. We need shelter or we'll die!"

Being on the verbose, over-descriptive side myself I can always appreciate a good "Oh! Come on and tell us we're screwed already" reference.

Sure, I can use "verbose" in a sentence, I just can't spell it correctly the first time.

heh

That was my favorite joke too, Eol.

Lolkat - the color intensity may be due to the fact that I have to convert from CMYK color to RGB color before I can export to jpg. That's all I do, though - I never touch anything but the background color (shows orange on my side)... and the text bubbles, obviously.

not my screen

No, it's not my screen. The colors are off. (compared to the original) It's no big deal, just something I noticed.

Edit: Saw Olan's comment. This issue should be fixed with later strips I sent you. If it continues, I may have to investigate.
