Is there any good Hybrid classes out there

I was wondering if Anyone has ever made a Hybrid character in D&D 4th. My question is, In your Opinion, what is the best combo of classes for the meanest toughest character?

4e

My experience in 4e is that the straight classes are quite balanced and powerful enough. I don't see a need for a hybrid build as each class provides 2 or 3 different paths to take or mix.

Well in my opinion...

The Warlock/Fighter is pretty good. But the warlock build needs to be the infernal pack, since it needs to receive damage to deal even more damage. Al dough, the draw backs are plenty if you don't know how to customize it well.

Also, the Warlord/Wizard can be pretty densest. You can pick your encounters for support, and your dailies for area damage.
The best Warlord build for this is the Tactical Warlord, since its main necessary abil score is intelligence.

Finally, the hybrid class that I wanted to try out was Fighter/Monk. I would pick as many feats available to increase my AC with cloth armor. For the build I would pick from the Guardian Fighter or Tempest Fighter. From the Monk the Centered Breath Monk.

The Idea for this character is that he would trow himself at a group of enemies and then mark them all using the Fighter's class feature combined with the Monk's encounters.
I would also roll play saying that he strikes with pressure points. Finally I would make him a halfling and describe that he is dressed in fancy Arab clothes. For the hell of it.

Roughest and toughest?

I'd definitely say that the roughest and toughest of hybrids would be the avenger/barbarian classes, as long as you use (and I may not get these terms exactly...) the whirling tempest barbarian (from primal power) and the avenger based on dex. With that, you have a deadly combo.

Barbarian/Rogue possibly.

I have a friend who made a barbarian/rogue combination. He did about 80 damage at level 3 with his powers. It is a specific build though.

Monk/Rogues <3

I played a Human Monk/Rogue once and my my was it amazing. He was extremely skilled, loved shurikens and would start combat with stealth. From there sneak attack an enemy then use a monk's power to shove the enemies away so he could run and hide again. I'm not allowed to play then anymore

As a dm

I myself preferr to use straight classes and use the multiclass feats available for anyone that wants to hybrid but if you really must hybrid a class there is a section of it in one of the players handbooks that provides all the info you need to hybrid any class with any other it's fun to experiment and maybe you will find something surprising when you do it but above all t's meant to be fun so enjoy doing it

Hope this helps

Mort
