It seems that no one is setting up a 4e game, so i thought i should give it a shot. I'm under no illusion that i'm a good Dm or anything, so don't expect the best game but i'll give it my all.

It occurred to me you'll want some details

The land is ravaged by a demonic beast. It indiscriminately burns settlement after settlement, killing all in its path. The kings forces have been spread thin, and are falling like fly's to this mighty monstrosity. No warrior, or army has stood in its way or hindered its progress at all, and any wound inflicted against it seems to heal instantly. The king has called you to his chamber, and is about to deliver onto you a task of great importance, lest the beast turn on the capital city.

I was in a 4.0 game that fizzled when the DM had to drop out. That tends to REALLY slow a game down, lol.

Check out "The Rolling Darkness" Q&A, Reqruitment and game tread. I was Erevan and my friend was QuestorSilvanthus and Pir F(r)iend had just decided to try out a game. We might be able to pull these guys into your game. I'm new to 4.0 so it would good as learning game.

Fourth edition is something I'd be interested in working with here on the boards. I just have a few questions...

-What kinda pace are you looking at for this game? I can manage 1/week, but more than that usually gets lost in me, but I think 1/week is a decent pace.

-What kind of rules would we use for character generation? Starting at level 1, starting higher, any race/class/book restrictions that you would like to point out?

-What kind of world is it set in? Homebrew? Eberron? Forgotten Realms?

I'd like to possibly jump in on this though.

Starting at level 5 to kick it off with a nice start i think.
Nothing from the PH3 please, i don't own a copy of that book.
and as for setting, i think i'll read into the Audalis setting that's here. It might be interesting, and maybe even get mroe interest.

1 a week is a fine pace, it'll give me time to get some more detailed posts in.

If i can get one more person then i can start it.

I'm going to have to back off. I was just accepted into another game and that makes four I'll be playing. I don't want to stretch so thin that I can't keep up.

But don't give up, keep your recruiting posts out there and you should get it going.

I tried to get a 4e game going once online... and it was very hard to do by forum. The nature of the edition is more of a wargame mentality. I would highly recommend you try to do it by chatroom if possible.

Well, sorry to hear you can't join. If one of your games fizzles i'm sure an opening will be available.

And if the players and i could get a time set, i'm sure the chatroom on this website would suffice.

As you're the first one to really be interested, you can play anything. As long as the party later moulds around it then its all good.
