Where it's run

Hello, forgot to add that.

I use a free software called Maptools and a voicechat server for if voice communication is necessary.

Hey!

Hello! Welcome to the Inn!

I'd have loved to join in, but I'm unavailable for big, serious ventures such as this.
Good luck finding players, as I might have to mention that at the moment there are more games opening than players available to play, so don't worry if you don't get anyone.

Have fun!

oooh

I really like MapTools. It's a brilliant program that I think more GMs should take a look at. Unfortunately I don't think I can participate since 7 PM EST is around midnight here. A little bit too late for my taste but I hope you get the players you need

Welcome back, Aurick...

...been a while since we last saw you hereabouts.

Nicely detailed recruitment, too... we do have quite the "international" membership here at the Inn, though, so, while the concept is definitely interesting, it may be tricky to get a lot of our Innmates to regularly commit to a Maptools/Voice Chat-based game (not impossible, of course, juuuust tricky)... Given any thought to doing a PbP format or, perhaps, a chat-based format in the Dragon Chat here, by any chance? You may have more success recruiting in one of those veins or the other.

Either way, best of luck with the game and here's hoping we start to see much more of you (and maybe your friends, as well?) on the forums.

I would be interested...

But I have two major problems:
1) Maptools did not work fro me when I was trying it out, could not get online and see other people

2)I am for the next month dedicated to a musical that I am directing, then come fall I have another year of post-secondary to finish up

Hope you find your players, and good luck to you on the campaign!

hey

Hey, I would love to join your game if you are still looking for another. I'll be emailing you shortly with my information. I look forward to hearing from you!

Interested, but looking for an alternative.

Hey, I'm interested too, though the time commitment of 6 evening hours, in 3 hour chunks, would be impossible for me. Would you consider running a play by post game here at the Inn, with a high posting rate requirement?

Hmm...

First of all, I don't actually know what pathfinder is, but I am an experienced player of 3.5 (though my roleplaying skills are rusty at best). I would like to play, but like the above user, I simply can't pull of six hours a week. I could pull off once a week, 7-10 EST, though earlier would be better. Also, a quick description of what pathfinder is would be nice.

Pathfinder is...

To put it as simply as possible, Pathfinder is DnD 3.75, its a d20 ruleset by Paizo that is a modified, and somewhat higher powered system based on 3.5. The races tend to have better racial mods, the classes have more options and powers, feats progress faster, and so forth. So if you are familiar with DnD 3.x you could very easily pick up Pathfinder and know what was going was.

In that case...

Is there an open source rulebook for pathfinder? If not, could you send me the differences between pathfinder and D&D3.5 that I'll run into while making a character?

SRD

The Pathfinder SRD should have everything you'll need to get started.
