Hello
Hi, I'm new here. Torene and Jing recommended this site to me and I decided to join. I consider myself a second generation player, my parents play D&D (and sometimes other games) and they taught me the basics of tabletop roleplaying. Torene told me that I should post a "new here" post/thread, just to be nice and introduce myself to everyone.

An Ody Welcome........
Hello......... and add the Ody welcome.
Pop into the DragonChat where I act as current resident bar tender. We offer our very own "Good Old Froth-n-Slosh", the stale pale ale with the foam on the bottom.
Just grab a mug off the mantel and draw a cold frosty one.
My assistant Igor is usually lurking around if I'm not there.
He never says anything, must have something to with having his tongue cut out by his last boss, that nasty bartender over at the Ugly Orc Bar & Grill.
Anyway the Posting Games are great place to get to know folks and of course the DragonChat is our favorite lounge.
So lurk or play, welcome to the Inn!

A Big Welcome My Lady
Let me be the first of the Inn’s Staff member’s to welcome you to our site. As you hopefully have already seen there’s a lot to do here for sure so take your time and get comfortable with our site. There are a wide variety of AD&D rules sets in use here, even at one time a game run on the very first rules edition.. Basic .. Along with a number of varying game systems from Fantasy to the Sci-fi to the occult to plain horror there is always something for someone including even Free Form games here at the Inn.
The Inn has been around quite some time and for a great majority of us is a second home so please treat the Inn, its Staff and all it’s members with respect and we will treat you the same.
So again welcome its always nice to have new people come to us and I hope you’ll feel quite at home here.
And though this is the greeting I post to all newcomers do not feel that I am not glad to see a new person come to our home, far from it. Its just easier and quicker this way as we do get a lot of newcomers at times. So then If you have any questions about the site feel free to PM myself or any other Staff member as needed.
Also here’s a second towel, always keep it handy as Eol, another of our Staff, likes to lick newcomers and he sometimes forgets who he has licked and then licks them again .

Hey
Hi, it's good to have some new blood here, I'm sure you'll find the Inn a great and friendly community like all us regulars do (you've clearly worked out how posting works which, like computers, is still anathema to me).

I didn't know we have a home brew. Damn where have I been. *L*
Anyway, welcome Lady. Glad to see you made it and had no trouble finding this place. *waves at the inn at large* I know we're kind of a small place but hey. *L* Besides that *whispers* this will give you a chance to get that man of your's settled in too. Welcome and have a glass of our finest *a bit louder than is needed*

Hooray!
Greetings Sunshine!
I'm glad that Jing and Torene directed you towards this site! Is this your first time doing Play by Post? If so (or if not), don't hesitate to fire off any questions you have to us!
I highly recommend Pit F(r)iend's article found here if you haven't read it already.
See you in the threads!

A new arrival
Kyle Westhelm enters the Inn and pats off the road dust form his tunic, "If I may a goblet of your finest wine keep. I wish to was away the road dust from the back of my teeth." He drinks deep from the goblet and then gives a smile, "There now I do not taste the farms land."
The old battle cleric then notices a new face and calls for all glasses, goblets, and tankards to be filled. "Good Lady Sunshine, May you find many a friend here. May your travels be truly rewarding." the old cleric then lifts his goblet, "Well met to the Lady SunshineFarie and Long live the Inn!"

Well Met!
*pours a stein of hot coffee for Eol*
And Greetz on this chilly morn, Sunshine!! *Waggity-wag!* We're so happy you came in to our humble corner of the Interwebz Wow, your parents game and taught you the ropes of tabletop? That's just beyond great. If we impress you enough with our warm and fuzzy ways (and our skill with a sourcebook or two) let your folks know they're welcome to join in the fun too!
(thanks for the linky-plug, Celeste! *smooch!*)

Linky linky!
*muwah!*
You're welcome, lovely! It's such a well written article, everyone should read it! When I first joined, I remember you and I conversed back and forth about what the Inn was all about, the do's and don'ts, and some handy tips. It tickles me that your advice has turned into a handy-dandy newbie guide!

Wheeee!
Thanks for all the welcomes. *Wipes face with towel.* Now I feel a bit less stupid in posting.
I've done some post-by-post roleplay before, but mostly on Neopets, which is a different kind of ball game than what I expect to find here. Maybe like softball compared to baseball?
Anywho, I've already read Pit F(r)iend's lovely thread. Which, amongst other things, taught me how to get the nifty avatar picture. Now if only I knew if it was possible to change font color, I would be highly content.
Once again thanks for the welcomes, and I do hope that I have fun here.

oh, hello
Just noticed the thread. Tend to be a tad distracted in my comings and goings, but well met nonetheless.
Now, if I may assist with your colour concern. Just below PitF(r)iend's guide is Scarab's tutorial for formatting text.
Cheers!
