Flux Wars: Depths of Damnation
Hi all.
My old game Flux Wars fizzled a while back due to an unforseen period of inactivity. With no more of them coming up (although I understand you can't forsee an unforseen period) I thought I'd revamp it with a new game set a year after the storyline of the old one had finished.
Basically, the Celian Empire has managed to take around half of Coast whilst the free kingdoms are now completley dependant upon the support of the shadowy League Entire for survival. Most of Coast's forces have pulled back to Valsavathar, a kingdom locked in perpetual midwinter, with their plethora of mages making the land inhabitable for such a large force.
However, the war was not without casualties, the elf, Tarka Elmheart, after spending days trapped within the mind of the Sevaraii Assassin, Chambers, was able to return to her physical body, yet she was little more than a walking gyre of ruin, completley consumed by her desire for vengance against the Celians who destroyed her home.
Sickened by the violence around him, Lantaris Narath lead a large portion of Coast's citizenry from his home kingdom of Imeyon before it was overrun, leaving Coast with no farmers to till the soil and provide their army with food. Many of the Kings fell, Kollun, Horuk, Bedrion and Dragon were all slain throughout the course of the war, leaving only the seemingly immortal man Skantea and the elfen archmage Illourien alive from the origional six kings.
However, events move away from ruined Coast as the Celian Empire, rebuffed but by no means defeated, begins to marshall its full military might to bring down upon its foes. The desert-kingdom of Sulthein has also resisted its perliminary assaults against its borders, with the renegade leader Kravos Al'Ral heading a series of destructive counterattacks and espionage efforts against them.
The land of Arkos, home of the Holy Order of the Inquisitors of Arcus, has also suffered the Celian's attentions and are barley holding the key ford over the river Chillwyne, all that stands between the Empire and their monastry-fortress.
With all of this conflict adventurous prospectors and enterprising merchants have taken the opportunity to turn a massive profit, the discovery of any resources the Empire can exploit will see an explorer literally showered in gold, whilst the discovery of passes through the notoriously inhospitable Fellcrags, a mountain range that cuts Celia off from its passage to Arkos, often sees similar rewards.
In all of Celia’s major cities, dozens of such expeditions are being planned, and whether greed or glory drives them they always need an extra blade, for bandits and, of late, worse dangers lurk on the badlands outside the influence of the Empire.
Currently, the capital; Demarkon, is the key staging point for these expeditions, where all manner of mages, mercenaries and slave-porters from the countless ‘lowlander races’ the Empire has prosecuted can be found for hire. And the best way to be noticed by a prospective hirer is to frequent one of the city’s many trader-taverns…in particular the Leaden Cockroach.
Flux Wars: Depths of Damnation will be an adventure set outside any particular rules system. I know in the original game had very confusing character creation, so in this case you can send me any character sheet from any edition of D&D and I’ll convert it into the appropriate Flux Wars format.
So, anyone interested? The lore is fairly heavy but largley unnecessary, only for those of you truly interested in what happened in the 'first game.'

Great
Ok so we've got a ranger, most probably human, it would be nice to have a character plaing a Myanmade or other race oppresed by the Celian' Dogma.
Looking for 2, preferably 3 or more players, I'm not particularly fussed about deadlines yet, just about eager players.

levels?
As far as I can tell levels don't matter. The character description thing on the Q&A is good, I've given clockwork quite detailed answers and he's come back, very quickly I might add, with something I am very happy with.
EDIT: My character has a name at last! Jowayne Cornish.
