Happy Birthday Canada!

Well I'm not sure how many of you fellow innmates are from the Great White North, but I am and it's our 100th something birthday. WOOOH, Old country! Anyways, I was just posting this as a reminder that Canada is here, even though we are sometimes forgotten, or mistaken as America, such as Hetalia taught me. So wish Canada a happy birthday because Americas is next!

Canada is that old already? ... Geez I really have to start paying attention to Canadian history more x.x Doesn't really look good if one of our own forgets Canada Day..

June 30? July 1? Is there a difference?

Hehe, yesterday at work people kept telling me 'Happy Canada Day'. After a while I figured they were probably onto something. The real tip-off was the party still on-going at 4 am last night.

A hundred, though? That I didn't know.

One Hundred and Forty Five, actually

Confederation Day was 1867...and the Montreal Expo celebrated our 100th birthday in 1967. I attended, but I was only one years old

Happy belated...

...Canada Day to all of my friends and Innmates in the Great White North.

Meant to post this yesterday but Canada took all of our power to run their celebrations... (I kid... it was storms that took the power)... and it was my youngest one's birthday, as well.

Canada Day

Happy Canada Day for the Canadians out there. I half-expected to hear stories of Canadians trying to burn down the White House a la 1812, but fortunately (or perhaps sadly) that was not to be.

To be honest

I had actually forgot about Canada Day.. *hangs head in shame* I know.. that's so bad that someone living in Canada has forgotten the day ...

however, I rarely do anything for it anyways so.. it's not all that surprising of me lol

Acknowledged

Little less enthusiastic about it, not living in Ottawa anymore. But... I suppose I'm still pretty happy to be living here

1 year on...

And the White House is still standing. Come on Canadians, pull your finger out!

[Note to the NSA (who have probably intercepted this communication): That was a joke.]

lol

well considering the white house was originally a 'rose colour' when we burned it down in ... Pennsylvania I believe it was around in 1812, we fondly remember that day through delicious chocolates sold by the heroine Laura Secord. (it's the name of the chocolate shop) Edifying the American to crossed the border and warned the Natives / the british colonial troops our southern neighbours were coming allowing us to prepare and thusly repel and chase back as deep into the Us as the former white house.

A little history for all.

And now back to celebrating cause we love everyone.

I believe the last proposed canadian white house attack was like 6 years ago when Mike Bullard commetned that a trio of canadian beavers had somehow made it all the way to the white house lawn, and were more stealthy than military forces.. strap c4 to their backs and let em rip.. funny how he went off the air shortly after..

Hmm...

*takes a note of the beaver plan*

It's a million-to-one chance, but it just might work...
