Great to be Here

Hey Guys,
My name is Daniel, and I've played DND since the White Box first came out...
I mostly played 1st ed., but want to see what 4th ed. is all about... And yes I got angry when Wizards started dropping the "R" word... I like first edition mainly because it had no rules.. only guide lines.
Would like to try 4ed if possible..
Thanks all!!!

Hello......... Time to add the Ody welcome.

A really good place to start here is “Pit F(r)iend's epic guide to getting started for newbies.”

That will help you figure out how to navigate the halls of the Inn. The Recruitment Threads in the general forum is the best place to look for games.

To meet folks in real time pop into the DragonChat where I act as the current resident bar tender. We offer our very own "Good Old Froth-n-Slosh", the stale pale ale with the foam on the bottom. Just grab a mug off the mantel and draw a cold frosty one.

My assistant Igor is usually lurking around if I'm not there.

He never says anything, must have something to with having his tongue cut out by his last boss, that nasty bar tender over at the Orc Bar & Grill.
I'll have him put out a plate of "Lady Fingers" in your honor.

Reminds me we need to have another "Ladies Night" and restock.

Anyway the Posting Games are great place to get to know folks and of course the DragonChat is our favorite lounge.

So lurk or play, welcome to the Inn

Hallo there, friend!

It seems our little family is getting bigger as we speak; perhaps a new face shall be added to our roleplaying legacy, a legacy which I am still getting accustomed to.

Perhaps we will meet at some point- my circuits are firing at the very thought!- in a game or two, or something of the like; I've never tried 1st ed. myself, and would be more than willing to learn the ropes.

Welcome to the Inn

Let me be another of the InnMates to welcome you to our site. As you hopefully have already seen there’s a lot to do here for sure so take your time and get comfortable with our site.

There are a wide variety of AD&D rules sets in use here, even at one time a game run on the very first rules edition.. Basic which you asked about. Along with a number of varying game systems from Fantasy to the Sci-fi to the occult to plain horror there is always something for someone including even Free Form games here at the Inn.

So again welcome its always nice to have new people come to us and I hope you’ll feel quite at home here and here’s a towel, always keep it handy as Eol likes to lick newcomers and he sometimes forgets who he has licked and then licks them again .

1E?

All editions are welcome at the Inn. I'm a dyed in the wool 2E guy, myself, but I'd love to some an OD&D game get going here.
